Review 1：The bangulows being traditional didn't make it possible for the fan to function perfectly , the rooms were so uncomfortably hot, and at night we needed to use mosquito nets with the excessive heat

Review 7：WiFi only worked in reception area and near bar - no WiFi in rooms. I could not get hot water for a shower -tepid at best. Used the "tea" hot water proved each morning to room for a shave.

Review 10：Bathroom very old and grimy. Shower was pretty bad. Drains were blockedin the shower and sink. Room descriptions not accurate "Superior 1bed garden apartment" was just a room with ensuite, not andapartment by any stretch. Certainly nothing superior about it! Verybasic. Not great with email communications- had trouble finding mybooking on arrival and also didn't respond to any of my emails priorto arrival.

Review 11：The location is fantastic. It has a beach directly out front which isunique in this area as most of the coastline is just rock and retainingwalls. It is outside Candidasa about 5-10 minutes drive which is goodbecause the town is very busy and on a main road. Taxi into town is30,000 idr 1 way ($3au) There is swimming and snorkling from the beachout front. Also highly reccomend taking a boat trip to the Blue lagoonfor a snorkle (boat will take you directly from the beach) There areplenty of places to eat nearby to the hotel including the hotel itselfand the one across the road. We recommend Warang Lu Putu Resto nearbyThere is a laundry and small shops selling water etc nearby also. Poolis very nice too.

Review 12：moldy smell because of the bathroom, reception staff had to high taxi prices and wanted to sell gili tours straight after arriving at the hotel. annoying taxi drivers waiting in front of the hotel waiting for u to come out

Review 13：Nice beach in front of the hotel, perfect for snorkeling in the afternoon. There was a place to relax with a great view over the beach and the ocean.

Review 14：We had three rooms booked. We arrived late with young children after a long days travelling to find that they had given our rooms away. Not just us a number of other people we met had had the same problem. The hotel looked great but don't trust your booking. My children were distraught. They did have an alternative. A hotel 3 km down the road which may have once Ben nice but the rooms were mouldy and smelt. Disappointing all round

Review 20：I booked the room in May which in advanced. I take it as a confirm once received the confirmation from booking.com. Upon arrival surprisingly our booking not in the system. Imagine with tiredness during our journey and it almost spoilt our holiday. We have been transferred to the next door hotel which the room has no air conditions. The first day give a big impression about Anom. Will not book the hotel again in the future. Disgusting !

Review 22：The man on the desk was incredibly rude. Would avoid the front desk unless the girl is on, she was much nicer! Breakfast was rather small, no real choice. Pool towels covered in stains. Need a taxi to the centre of candidasa.

In the hotel 99% of the guest are German and over 50. But it is the perfect place if you want to get away from the crowd

Review 41：We booked a bungalow room for 3 nights. The bungalow was very oppresive. We found 2 big cockroachs in the room. It wasn´t very clean, so the recepcionist changed or room to a deluxe one. It happened the same thing. We found a big cockroach in the toilet and it was dirty. Then we wanted to go at the next day and we had to pay the half of the booking...

Review 45：Had to walk down to another level for washroom facilities. Had a screened net grate that when sitting there with light on you felt people could look right on in. They provide mosquito net on bed, as it's a pretty open building but with only a fan, hard to get a breeze, unless you open the net. Netting felt unclean. As others mention no chairs down at beach only on upper area which are mostly in shade.

Review 49：The fridge in the room and the cupboard were rusty, rotted, stank the entire bedroom, almost impossible to breath. We asked for bedding many times but the staff smiled and didn`t bring it - yet they understood enough to get us a single bed sheet, which was not good enough and we got sick because of it. We took pity of a lost young cat in the hotel dinning room and fund most of the stuff unsupportive in feeding or caring for it, so we were forced in the end to try and keep it a live by taking it to a cat hospital in Ubud.

We did request the following night to be switched to our original bungalow booked which was done so credit to them! They also tried selling trips etc at very high prices upon booking in- atleast wait until we have settled in before ripping us off! The food was okay but we ended up spending 90% of our time at the hotel next door as the food and service was just amazing next door. Small tip: arrange transport before you get here or book from main town (15min scooter ride) as these people will rip you off as it is a remote area away from everything...

Review 77：Internet: almost no connection in the rooms, that are further from the reception, which is very annoying when it says "Internet is available in all areas". Breakfast: in general it is OK, but we were kind of cheated by the main breakfast lady, when we asked for extra egg instead of toast with butter, cheese and jam in American Breakfast (she didn't say anything about bacon and tomato) and we got ONLY eggs without anything at all. Not the best experience to start the morning, but oh well... Restaurant is pricy, but there are two great warungs just across the street (prices are approximately two times lower than in the hotel) and a small minimart, so there is no need to go to Candidasa center.

Review 81：If I had to name something, it would might be the location in that regard, that it's a bit offside (approx. walk to the village 10/15 min). Though this isn't really a con, since this makes the resort what it is: A quiet, very nice place to stay and relax, with a private beach (including a small reef that you can discover via snorkeling, for which the staff gladly gives you the equipment) and a ocean view bar and restaurant. Also I'm sure that the staff would call you a driver at any time of day, if you need to go to the village quick!

For the nightly fee as a superior room - it was a disappointment! The shower head fell off on my first shower, though it was fixed instantly ! It seemed an overlooked detail that had not been addressed previously? The inclusion of a small "shower head "next to the toilet would save plumbing problems & paper! It's common everywhere else in Bali & is so hygienic! My previous small hotel had a seat with an incorporated spray( it was $20 cheaper too!) Perhaps find a way to extend the garden area next to the pool- it was hard to find a chair & felt very constricted when there were more guests! Maybe another small pool near the beach front or move reception? I was not upset by any of the above- just thoughts at improving the hugely!

Review 92：The lush gardens full of flowers, the quiet of the hotel, the white sand beach was quiet with coral and a floating pavilion to challenge a swim! The staff were all very helpful and graciously friendly. They respected my privacy too! It was no problem to organize last minute trips to Candi Desa by bike or car with staff at a reasonable fee. The massage lady was so good, she came to my room rather than by the pool- local prices & much cheaper than the spa( though that was also amazing!)The food was tasty & fresh although more expensive than expected! Cocktails & juices were delicious & made with care! The pool was deceptive & appeared small& shallow- it wasn't ! Perfect for laps in the morning & late afternoon when few guests! Also lived the daily bowls of flowers around the hotel courtyard & watching the staff gently collect flowers in the morning! Review 98：The location was a bit out of the way down a long track, which meant dinner was limited to their restaurant and exploring the area wasn't really practical on foot. The pool is also quite shaded by the trees and doesn't get much sun which is a shame as it's a lovely area for relaxing by.

Review 99：The anom beach hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms and gardens were clean and well kept with fresh towels provided every day, and there was a good selection of breakfast choices available. There was a great list of cocktails to sample, and it was nice to sit out watching the sea in an evening in the breeze as there was no bother by mosquitoes. All in all this was a great place to stay as a base and good value for money.
