Reviews for Sea Breeze Candidasa

Review 1:Food in the restaurant (too much MSG). Distance from restaurants in the area. Having your own transport is advised. Otherwise it is quite a walk along a very dark road. Too much landscaping with quaint statues and fountains to our taste. We missed the Balinese atmosphere. The lay-out of the newer bungalows.

Review 2:Nice reef to snorkel when the stinging jellyfish are out . Good pool. Nice view. Tranquility. Well maintained (albeit some the airconditioning units needed replacement). Some good restaurants in the area.

Review 3:I only suggest this hotel to those people who over 70, deaf ,who don't care what they are eating , do not want to use internet and enjoy sitting in the pool instead being at the sea.Hotel near the sea, but no entrance to the sea. Forget about walking at the sea. You can try to climb down if you are skilled wall climber but with safety ropes . I am really surprised that till now no casualties reported at this cliff. Since no any safety rail just a 20 cm high wooden decorative fence. No any drunk person fall down?Keep an eye on your children. The sea is very shallow in this area. Do not expect enjoying waves.Hotel in the middle of the forest so you will have lots of time trying to login to their wi-fi. And if you successfully login be fast to send the message. Ask at least 3-4 passwords. Don't mixed them-some are good just inside your room some outside. But sometimes inside good outside and outside good inside. And sometimes 5 attempts no luck but on the 6th works, so you will need keep a record it was in or out since after few minutes probably connection will be lost. I know confusing.Probably its Chinese spiritual practice to developed self control. Your local sim cards will hardly work too (XL didn't worked at all, Indosat sometimes.)So after several unsuccessful in and out attempts to connect your wifi you will be forced to switch on television and if its probably cloudy you can enjoy stills of rugby final.I eat only once dinner and breakfast (breakfast :D If I would be forced to give this breakfast to my guest-i would sell this hotel before this small piece of bread will be beaked.) anyway ...And if you are lucky like me you can get Room 25 and before your dream instead of counting sheep you can count your neighbours breathing, or listen plastic bag music, or enjoy live sex audio transmission, since room equipped with incredibly fine crafted wooden double door to the next apartment .

Review 4:Overall hotel area looks very nice, clean and well build. Probably ill be back when Ill be over 70 but only if half deaf, worry to get the room 25. Or maybe all are the same .I don't know.

Review 5:coffee quality was not the best...

Review 6:Location just in seafront, snorkelling possibilities just in front. Two pools and good restaurant. The superior room was really large enough. Deluxe rooms were just in seafront and looked very nice. Candidasa itself is a quite clean village and offers many opportunities for eating out. Very different than most places we visited in Bali or Lombok.

Review 7:It would be good if there were more sin loungers around the pool and along the beach as I sometimes could not find a place to relax. More parasols too would help. A good improvement would be to have a poolside bar where you could get cocktails,

Review 8:A stunning hotel in a beautiful location with spectacular views across the ocean. Staff were incredibly helpful. A huge range of food to choose from at the restaurant and all very good value. An extremely comfortable bed in a very cosy bungalow room. I loved the infinite pool. A fabulous hotel.

Review 9:Construction at the pool when we arrived ( the 3th in Bali at a row ) The absence of the manager Kristina Roberts. The lying, inpolitness, rudeness of the staff afther our complain about the construction on site and mediation with booking.com office about discount which changed all the time. Staff and absent manager ( never spoken during 2 day stay ) were not able to understand the inconvinience we had and the Total dissapointment of our stay, what supposed to be a calm, relax, 2 days at sea during our round trip through Bali. Poor quality breakfast and food. We had diner at the neighboors, 10 minute walk through Bush Bush in the dark. No Free hotel transfer available only payed taxi. 1 hour walk to Candidasa village.

Review 10:View from terrace at sea. The terrace is nice and spacious room.

Review 11:Shower head in room sprays all over the place and not alot of bacon with the American breakfast.

Review 12:Really easygoing and accommodating staff. Very friendly. Great ambience. Relaxing and peaceful.

Review 13:Our room was a bit far from the coastline and the hotel is way off the road...difficult to find. Have your driver call the hotel in advance. View is pretty but there was a large freighter there.

Review 14:It was a very calm location. The pool and staff was very nice along with the rooms.

Review 15:Can be a little hard to find (off the main road).

Review 16:Nice and quiet. Lovely pools. Good place to relax. Adult focused but definitely family friendly. Could have stayed longer.

Review 17:It is a bit out of the way, at the end of a back road in banana plantations. Though this can add to the appeal!

Review 18:A lovely spot right on the water with amazing pools with relaxing nooks all over the place.

Review 19:My family and I spent 3 weeks in Indonesia. 2 weeks in Bali and a weekin Lombok. We had planned hotels along the whole of our journey on Bali and we traveled from Denpasar, to Ubud, to Lovina and to Candidasa. So we have had experiences to hotels that are rated at a similar level and also below. On arrival we had to wait 3 hours for the room to be made available. That can be understandable given we came before the check in time. It was however a little annoying to see 3 other guests arrive around the same time and get taken to their room.We have always been offered a welcome drink at all hotels. This was no different however they did not bring a drink for our 2 year old who clearly required less re-hydrating than fully grown adults. This should have been an eye opener for what was to come. While waiting for the room we decided to take a swim in the pool and of 2 year old who was tired and unhappy from a long trip from Lovina. As all parents who have children know, sometimes it can be quite impossible to stop your child from crying when they are really in one of those moods. That being said our son was crying for about 5 minutes before we eventually managed to comfort him.I then went to the reception to get some towels and was told to keep my son quite because they had received complaints within that 5 min period.I won't go into more details about my response but this set a bitter tone about our whole experience at this hotel which is not family (child) friendly. We felt we had to keep our son on a leash the whole time we spent there. In addition our shower room door would not close, the shower head fell off if you pushed too hard and the water would not drain. On checkout they tried to charge me for a meal I had not eaten. Some food they require notice to prepare. I ordered some food and then cancelled it 1 hour later after we decided to change our plans. I guess they thought I would not check every receipt!

Review 20:Positive: Spacious and nicely designed hotel. Location: Beautiful viewof the ocean and situated close to restaurants and shops when you get tothe main road.Average: Food was okay.

Review 21:- very distant location, good if you want to hide away, but you cannot go out in the evening for a restaurant/warung - dinner is ok at best, be aware that not every order is understood well (no bad will) - wifi constantly logs out - bathroom smells heavily of chemical cleaning - constantly some big vessels anchoring in front of the hotel which partly ruins the view

Review 22:+ breakfast is good (in Bali comparison) + nice large hotel area with 2 pools + AC and Fan in the cottages + staff is friendly but gets some orders wrong

Review 23:Spacious, well maintain and very clean room. We booked the Honeymoon Suite with 2 extra bed and still has plenty of space inside. The suite was very nice decorated with Balinese style. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was excellent. All rooms with sea view. Great pools. Snorkling area is within walk distance. Relaxing, peace and quiet place. Definitely will come back again. Highly recommend.

Review 24:- long walking distance to the centre, toilet seat was broken and next to it the floor was always wet, because it somehow lost water....shouldn't happen in this priceclass

Review 25:+ outstanding food (try the Apple Pie, Spaghetti Carbonara and Duck (preorder)), very lovely rooms with awesome view, great pool areas, lovely design, comfy bed, very helpful und nice staff

Review 26:We had constant power outages for the first two days that progressively became more frequent. The after hours security were not able to rectify the issue, which made the room unbearable to sleep in with the hot weather and no aircon/fans. We raised this with Kristina (the manager) and her response was to lie to us and not offer any help (making up excuses about why this is happening rather than fixing the situation), we were forced to demand a new room and we were not offered any assistance in packing and moving between the rooms. The new room was a lower standard room. Kristina insisted this had never happened before and didn't want to do anything about it. We asked if we would get a discount which was disregarded. We were not the only room impacted by the power outages as there were other customers also complaining about this. The private beach has been washed away and all you see is the man made "reefs" that remain, which is a bit of an eye sore. The menu has a lot of items, and while it is generally inexpensive, the food is very basic.

Review 27:The swimming pools were amazing

Review 28:Very beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful if you are looking for a place to just chill out. The staff was excellent and no request was to much for the staff to handle. We will be back again soon. Event

Review 29:We stayed only overnight but this place is really great. Amazing room with sea view, friendly staff, nice scenery around. After we left hotel, I realized that I forgot quite few things. We gave them call and hotel staff were extremely helpful with finding solution for my situation (sending abroad, transfer to the other place etc). We can highly recommend this place with good hearted ppl working in!!

Review 30:Would have liked to have had more condiments in room ie. coffee sachets and sugar. Had to pay for milk used in cup of coffee (although only $1.30). Seemed to have trouble with hot water in shower.

Review 31:Such a beautiful boutique resort and the sea view rooms are worth the upgrade. Stunningly picturesque views, wonderful pool, staff beautiful, happy, friendly and accomodating and comfort overall inside and out.

Review 32:The bottled or powdered fruit juices offered at breakfast. The lack of "gluten free" selection on the menu

Review 33:The ambience of the facility, the friendliness of the staff, the quiet location

Review 34:Hotel down a long long road. Is very hard to find. The sign is - well you have to see it to believe it. The restaurant for evening meals is hopeless. Breakfast is adequate. Never had lunch there but prob same as evening. Definitely need a new chef/cook

Review 35:The location is gorgeous. The rooms (we had 18) are lovely. Staff helpful and friendly.

Review 36:It is such a beautiful location with great pool, spacious rooms and wonderful views that we just didn't want to leave. The staff and management were also fantastic.

Review 37:We had a rental car, otherwise it would have been difficult to leave. The location is wonderful but a little ways from town if you are on foot.

Review 38:Everything was better than expected. We stayed for three nights and wished we had stayed three weeks. Staff cared about comfort and communicated which prevented us from repeating ourselves. Will go back in the future.

Review 39:Nice peaceful hotel (march) lovely pool and grounds. Staff friendly. Air con in rooms very welcome. Cot provided for small daily fee and staff very happy to look after 1 yr old whilst we ate dinner in peace! Restaurant - wide range of options on menu, food we had was ok and portion sizes on smaller side. Not much to do in candidasa town, you do not miss anything if you don't get into candidasa.

Review 40:There was not 1 thing that I didn't like.

Review 41:Right from the minute we walked into the lobby we knew we were in for a treat. Our bungalow had a view of the ocean the garden and the infinity pool. It is a small resort which also adds to the tranquility. We went to Candi dasa to rest and relax and that is exactly what we did. So peaceful and quiet.

Review 42:Wi-Fi signal was not good enough , even in the office area , could not use Wi-Fi at all. Very small portions in the restaurant.

Review 43:peace and quiet , massage on the waterfront was a bliss , sound of waves in the bungalow , proximity to the village and Bali people and driver ( Newman ) was very friendly and easy going , massage lady was also lovely.

Review 44:The reception area seemed a little dated and the breakfast menu could be improved.

Review 45:The feeling of space and calm together with the view of the azure blue sea. The friendly and attentive staff.

Review 46:As always Sea Breeze Candidasa was amazing accommodation. Kristina is a lovely lady and welcomed us back to her wonderful resort. we loove everything about Sea Breeze, it is so relaxing, comfortable, the food is amazing - we tried ayam bertutu - fabulous!. Great chef! Can't wait to visit again. thank you Kristina and all the lovely staff. When our boat booking to the Gilis was delayed due to bad weather, we were lucky enough to stay another few days. Lucky us!!

Review 47:a bit of a problem with the hot water for a couple of days but then it was fine.

Review 48:At the end of the road, amazing view, great food, great hospitality and totally quite and relaxing.

Review 49:From the moment we got there, it was like stepping into a little area of paradise. The room was amazing, the pool area and gardens where lovely, the nice thing was the food was great and wasn't over priced at all. Defo on my list of top places to stay

Review 50:Nothing.

Review 51:With only 15 rooms in an enormes garden it is very quiet. Enough sunbeds, 2 beautiful pools, terrific staff, very good breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Very kind owner who let us stay in the room till 17.00 without extra costs. We made a beautiful snorkling trip to Blue Lagune, on this trip we saw a real but small submarine, a big turtle and thousands fishes. For us this place is Paradise.

Review 52:There's really nothing not to like!

Review 53:The location on the beach, with two infinity pools, manicured gardens and spacious villa accommodation is lovely and quiet, tucked away from the rest of the busy world outside. The welcome is kind, friendly, helpful and discreet. The staff all work tirelessly to ensure one's comfort, whilst in so doing keeping in the background.

Review 54:Would have liked a free shuttle to Candidasa perhaps once a day. Otherwise all was perfect.

Review 55:If you're looking to avoid the hype and congestion of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak then head for Candidasa. Sea Breeze is a couple of kilometres out of town in a quiet village on the beachfront. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, the accommodation is stunning, views superb, food excellent, and you can snorkel off the beach.

Review 56:WiFi is free and unlimited, but every 30 minutes the line was interrupted. I noticed that in the restaurant & gym are the wifi was more stabile. Other hotel guests had the same problem

Review 57:This accomodation is abroad from the big commercial places like kuta and seminyak and so its very quiet there. A perfect place for relaxing. 2 hotel own warm nice pools and the sea water is in contrast to other locations very warm. On the day of departure i had my birthday and the hotel owner (very friendly lady) knew this because they kept their eyes peeled as they checked my passport. So before i left the whole hotel staff came around, brought me a delicious cake and sang for me. i never expected this..

Review 58:There was not a thing we didn't like but if your looking to party, this wouldn't be the place for you.

Review 59:Loved the quiet location, the pleasant staff, they couldn't help enough. There is nothing to hard for the staff, anything we wanted they organised. We were just looking for somewhere to unwind from a busy year and Seabreeze was ideal.

Review 60:Breakfast and restaraunt . Possibly the blandest in all of south east Asia. Let's the place down. Also suites are great. 4.5 stars. But standard are awful. Hardly anything works. Dark dingy. Suites or nothing

Review 61:The grounds and pools are phenomenal. Views that never tire.

Review 62:Nothing

Review 63:The staff where all so friendly, there was lots of variety on the menu in the restaurant and food excellent and a great view from villa, a great place to relax. Suzanne, Bunbury.

Review 64:Would have been lovely with a greater wine-collection.

Review 65:The view, location (if you want to be alone), the room and very friendly staff.

Review 66:None

Review 67:Almost everythings. Lovely beach front deluxe room, sunset from the balcony & the foods are great

Review 68:Extremely good value for money, had a lovely deluxe room overlooking the beach, decorated to a high standard

Review 69:Location was peaceful and the staff were so friendly and helpful at all times. Food was great - good value and many options.

Review 70:hot water was a bit intermittent

Review 71:Very good food at great rices . A very comfortable and friendly resort

Review 72:Loud air conditioner

Review 73:Staff , location and the food

Review 74:Better dinner options in town

Review 75:Super friendly staff, lovely quiet location by the sea, nice atmosphere, good breakfast, nice villa, great cheap massage

Review 76:Wi-Fi is always need to be connected ~

Review 77:wonderful view

Review 78:Our room not very private. Could hear people in adjoining room.

Review 79:Lovely secluded location.

Review 80:such a friendly staff, good vibe, very nice hotel!

Review 81:Long walk to local shops, would have liked a "free" shuttle

Review 82:Peaceful location, lovely room and grounds

Review 83:Service and quility Does not respons with the fantastic location

Review 84:The staff was wonderful. It was a quiet, stress-free getaway. We had an amazing sea-view room with endless pool at our steps.

Review 85:Staff training and language skills were on quite poor level. Bed was absolutely too soft and it caused backpain.

Review 86:The place is a little hard to find

Review 87:This is an extraordinary place to relax The view is amazing and so are the people

Review 88:Location and the ocean view

Review 89:Kristina runs a great place. View, location and facilities are excellent. Very friendly staff.

Review 90:The bathrooms were quite basic

Review 91:The staff and the food

Review 92:The place is a nice place I will go back if the staff they change their attitude

Review 93:I want the staff to change the negative attitude

Review 94:Everything

Review 95:It's a shame that there's hardly any beach. The evening meal portions were a little too small.

Review 96:The view is very beautiful and the location is so peaceful!

Review 97:Nothing. We just loved everything!

Review 98:The welcome was wonderful by Michael and Sari. The checkin was quick and Michael showed us around the whole resort. Nothing was too much trouble. Any questions sort out promptly.

Review 99:Since I was travelling alone it was too quiet for me. To overcome the Situation I usually had Dinner in other Restaurants. For my opinion the sea breeze Hotel also closes their Restaurant too early.

Review 100:Very friendly staff. Beautiful Environment. I had my Bungalow right at the sea front. The two Pools are also exzellent for Swimming. They offer many Tours for reasonable prices to explore the Island.

Review 101:It's a bit out of the way in relation to restaurants and the neighboring attractions. But most places offer free pick and drop off.

Review 102:Loved this place! Really great staff, and wonderful accommodations. The pool and view are amazing. They arranged a great snorkeling trip for us to blue lagoon. I highly recommend it.

Review 103:Nothing really, it is a little bit isolated but thats the beauty of it, its only 25000 rupiah into town about $2aus.

Review 104:Seabreeze candidasa was a peaceful haven, the staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive, the rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean, it felt like your own personal villa, there are two beautiful pools and the grounds are immaculate, even though it was full you hardly saw anyone. The food and beverages were very well priced and nice, we spent 6 nights and could have stayed longer highly recommended.

Review 105:nothing

Review 106:2nd visit !! beautiful gardens,2 lovely swimming pools, wonderful villa & sea views, friendly helpful staff and very enjoyable, relaxing time.

Review 107:We had a lovely time. Small enough and hidden from the main road: the place is serene and peaceful. The wonderful staff really helped us make the most of our time in this small piece of paradise.

Review 108:Had the most amaozing relaxed time in this wonderful place. Kristina, the owner, really makes you feel at home and offers all the help and support in doing excursions, ogransing trips etc. I extended my stay after 4 nights and found it really hard to leave after 9 days! She has put such love into the place. It´s like a Zen 7 healing garden drenched with her love to create a wonderful atmosphere for her guests.

Review 109:horrible decoration, far from everything, reception closes at 8pm and you can not leave the hotel after this time because you are in the middle of no where and they are not there to call a taxi, no beach, just swimming pool

Review 110:nice view to the sea, generous breakfast, big bungalows, nice gradens

Review 111:what a beautiful location!! with a view on the ocean, from your own room! it was quite and the hotel is outside the city. But that makes this place so beautiful. With a taxi its not far to the city. I would recommend eating at Vincents. the room is clean and big. The food was really good. I would recommend this to everyone!

Review 112:Beach was tiny with limited access. Non smoking restuarant. No top sheet supplied for bed.

Review 113:Fab views. Friendly staff. Good food. Nice restuarant. Nice villas with ocean view. Quiet & relaxing. Good value for money. Massage available on site. Two pools with awesome views and gorgeous sunsets. Overall very nice.

Review 114:The bed was a little soft for me (back problems), but to be fair my husband loved it. Outdoor seats could use some cushions, had a big room but no indoor seats. Needed plug in mosquito repellant a couple of nights. None of this would keep me from going back-we loved the hotel! The wifi connection wasn't too bad but only one person could use it at a time-which on rainy afternoons wasn't very convienent.

Review 115:Amazing views, great pools, quiet, relaxing, cool villas with places to relax outside, good food in restaurant-good price, nice outdoor covered restaurant with view, away from the busy and crowded city.

Review 116:Candidasa was pleasant but there was less to do than the other resorts we visited. The hotel was beautiful and peaceful - would be ideal for couples seeking a quiet, romantic place but was a little too quiet for families.

Review 117:Fresh and healthy breakfast. Rooms extremely comfortable. Beautiful frontage to hotel - lovely views across the infinity pool and surrounding statues out onto the sea.

Review 118:Staff with superior attitude . We booked a room with a sea view and got offered a room stuck on the side of the restaurant , separate to everyone else . Perhaps being a gay couple didn't go down very well with the staff ,we felt uncomfortable with this and asked for what we expected and every other guest had a room with a view . Wouldn't reccomend them to other gay couples .pity hotel is nicely situated with amassing views of candidasa.

Review 119:Location and view . The rooms are ok , toiletries are foul smelling , smelt off . Driver nyomen great .

Review 120:Airconditioning not holding set temperature...I prefer a ceiling fan.

Review 121:Great position on beachfront, small white sand beach inside reef. Quiet area with tropical vegetation and lovely seaviews from restaurant. Food service slow when many a la carte meals. All staff very helpful.

Review 122:Transfer from and to the airport arranged by hotel 74$. I think hotel restaurant was not that good-ratio price and quality. I dont know distance to the other restaurants.

Review 123:Very nice beautiful hotel area, quite, clean, good for divers.

Review 124:Especially the bathroom (sink is situated in the sleeping room; only the toilet and the shower are found in the bathroom) was not appealing at all.

Review 125:nice view as it is directly located at the sea; the room was clean but rather basic. Food was ok.

Review 126:Wonderful, quiet hotel. Lovely gardens and very friendly staff. Excursions around Bali can be organized by hotel staff. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Review 127:There were some lizards in our villa. They made loud sounds at the nights. Staff didn't want to do anything with it. Candidasa is not the best place on Bali. No sunrise and no sunsets. There is no sands beach. Big waves. So it is not very comfortable for swimming. Poor breakfast - eggs and toasts. Indifferent staff In comparison with other 4star hotels on Bali it deserves only 3stars

Review 128:good villa, territory, pools, view of the sea

Review 129:The snorkeling directly in front of the hotel is not as great aswe'd hoped.

Review 130:There is nothing we did not like. Being in the travel industry, we havestayed at thousands of hotels. Sea Breeze ranks among the best of them. The setting is more beautiful than the photos, the staff cannot doenough for you, the rooms are well furnished, the equipment all works, the breakfast is abundant and yummy, the pools are divine. With only 13rooms, there are never more than 30 guests even when it's sold out.We actually went to inspect the other top-level hotels in Candidasa andnone compared (except perhaps the resort that costs three times as muchand is not worth the extra expense!). Trust us, ours is a genuine, honest guest review based on years of experience. You will love everyminute at Sea Breeze!
