Landhaus Lilly is situated in a quiet location in Obertraun, just 3.1 miles from Hallstatt and a 3-minute drive or a 15-minute walk from the Krippenstein Cable Car, offering access to the Five Fingers viewing platform and Dachstein Ice Cave. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.
After renovations in 2013 and 2014 the property now offers a choice of different accommodation units. Four of the rooms have a balcony with panoramic mountain views and feature a king-sized double bed with a luxury mattress and bedding. The apartment features a kitchen and dining area. A small twin room does not offer a balcony. All of the en-suite rooms come with a flat-screen TV featuring an integrated DVD player.
A minibar and free tea and coffee making facilities are available for the guests in the breakfast room. A continental breakfast is served daily here and gluten-free breakfast options are also available, by prior arrangement.
A ski and bicycle storage room is at guests’ disposal and free private parking spaces can be used at the premises. Bicycle rental is available on site.
The Lake Hallstatt and the Koppenwinkl Nature Reserve are less than 1.2 miles away and there are many cycling and hiking routes in the area. Bad Ischl with its thermal spa is 25 minutes away by train or car. Gosau and the ski area at Dachstein West can be reached within a 20-minute drive.

Review 1：The way we were treated by Liz and Paul. You have plenty of games to play and also lot of places to relax. Don''t hesitate to ask anything to Liz and Paul and they will help you. Superb view from the propriety!
Review 2：The staff. The rooms. The setting. Although not essential, a rental car enables easy exploration of the surrounding area and I would recommend one.
Review 3：The location is stunning! Started each day in the breakfast room with a view of the Dachstein mountain and cable cars. Liz and Paul know the area very well and gave suggestions for trips to make the most of our 6 day holiday. Stayed in the apartment, which is a good size, with huge balcony and fantastic mountain views. Also has a lovely, new and well equipped dining/kitchen. Very relaxing holiday in comfortable accommodation. Will definitely recommend and hopefully return to Landhaus Lily one day.

Review 7：Lilly and her husband are so nice and enthusiasm. They pick up and send us when we arriving and leaving. Lilly is very careful and she will tell you many details about the apartment and attractions nearby. The house position is also pretty good, because compared to Hallstatt, Obertraun is more quiet while is also beautiful and convienent. The house is full of conveniences of every sort. The Continental Breakfast they provide is also very delicious. What's more, Lilly and her husband prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, because we need to take a train very earily in the morning. We liked the picture Lilly drawed on eggs and we discussed a lot for which egg belonged whom. In summary, we like Lilly house and we definitly would recommend it to our friends.

Review 13：Liz and Paul were very, very warm and went the extra mile to make our stay so memorable! Prior to our stay, they had gotten in touch and made sure we had everything we needed (directions, meal reservation etc). During our stay, they were also extremely helpful, giving us recommendations and obliging our last-minute request so we could head to the Dachstein glaciers to visit the suspension bridge. Liz and Paul have really built up this B&B with a heart full of love :) I assure you that you won't regret picking Landhaus Lilly as your accommodation. We hope to visit again!

Review 26：The first thought when you see the room is..."What a lovely room!!" The bed and pillow are really comfortable, we had nice sleep and well rest. Bathroom is clean and neat, hot water is stable, I like the shower head a lot. :) Breakfast is good, I like the cherry jam and fruit salad so much! It was a lovely stay and I'm sure I will go there again for my next Austria trip.
Review 27：The first accommodation where I would run out of superlatives to describe; I've traveled more than most. Liz and her husband Paul are a delight (Never had a reason to use that word before), as was their petite pooch Leo. Very Convenient to Hallsatt, though Obertraun is uniquely small quiet and beautiful. It would be a mistake to overlook Landhaus Lilly when visiting the that area. I will remember Loopy fondly.

Review 30：Liz and Paul are really sweet and friendly and clearly they love hosting guests. Very new, fresh and cosy B&B with a huge friendly dog who thinks he is a puppy. Beautiful n quiet location near Halstatt. We drove and it was very convenient but you can also take a train into town and I think they will pick u up. Hot water and teas available anytime. Breakfast was great with eggs, yoghurts, cereals etc etc. even gave us cute little Easter egg chocs because it was Easter Sunday. Liz also gave us lots of info for visiting Halstatt and we overheard her giving plenty of info to another couple at breakfast who wanted to go hiking.

Review 32：Landhaus Lilly is truely a unique place. The old house has been renovated perfectly and offers literally everything you could think of for a B&B. Starting with the very very comfortable bed, continuing with the furniture in the rooms until the quality of the breakfast. Needless to say that the rooms, all public areas, etc were spotless clean! In this house, you can see in every corner that the owners Liz and Paul turned their passion into a living dream!

The furnishings were lovely and the best was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Breakfast was plentiful and there are some great local restaurants which were recommended. Liz and Paul even went out of their way to go back to a restaurant where we had left a scarf and post it back to us in London!

Review 47：I have stayed at a lot of B&Bs over the course of my travels and I am happy to say Landhaus Lilly tops my list of all time favorites. From the moment I made my booking, the emails I exchanged with Liz and Paul confirmed I had made the right decision. Every question I had was not only promptly addressed, but was done so in the warmest and most personable way. I arrived late and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot Liz came outside to greet me and give me a big hug :) There were slippers waiting for me at the front door and the room I stayed in was cozy yet large. I don't eat gluten or dairy (which was one of the reasons I booked here) and Liz made it easy to have a healthy but filling breakfast and be well fuelled for my day. Both Paul and Liz provided many recommendations on where to go, what to see and where to eat. Personally, I think staying in Obertraun provides a more authentic and tranquil experience than staying in the more touristic and crowded town of Hallstatt. I loved Hallstatt and visited the area via the bike I rented at Landhaus Lilly (a very easy and enjoyable ride), but I was grateful to come "home" and enjoy my evenings in Obertraun where I chatted with locals and enjoyed delicious (and less expensive) dinners. I would say that Landhaus Lilly has the warmth and charm of staying at a good friend's country house without compromising the luxuries and standards of a high-end hotel. I don't know how Liz and Paul manage to keep their B&B so spotless and well-serviced (they do everything themselves!), but I am glad to have supported their business and venture of passion. Thank you Liz and Paul for having me and making my experience in Austria a memorable one. I will definitely be back (for longer) next year!

Our hosts Liz and Paul were wonderful and couldn't do enough to help - Liz even made Soda Bread to support my husbands dietary needs. We would recommend staying here to everyone and are already saving for our next trip out.

Paul graciously gave us a ride to and from the train station, making it just as convenient as other options in the area. Paul and Liz were a great source of suggestions for the area and even made us a dinner reservation the first night after our arrival! We'd recommend Landhaus Lilly with no reservations!

It was pretty late in the day when I arrived Obertraun Station and there was no obvious place for having dinner. Paul not only picked me up at the station and also drove me to a nice place to get a take-away food package-- you gotta know it was sunday night and most of the local restarants are closed--- It was so helpful to me. As for the second day, Paul and liz prepared a gorgeous bike for me to ride so that I can fully enjoy the sorrounding area's beauty. It was truly a memorable experience. I really appriciate their help and wish Paul& Liz all the best! If there's a chance, I'll definitely come back again!

Liz and Paul are paying so much attention to details from the way they decorated the entire house for the winter holidays to the way the breakfast was looking every morning. The rooms are large and you have everything you could need 24/7. Obertraun is pretty close to Hallstatt and if you have a car you could be there in less than 10 minutes. I do suggest getting a car as there are so many amazing places that you could go to every day and this would make your life easier. I will definitely come back to stay at Landhaus Lilly! Book yourself some days here and enjoy the experience. You will not be disappointed.
Review 101：Liz and Paul immediately greeted us at the door and made us feel like family. The rooms are all very nice and well furnished. Breakfast is excellent and Liz and Paul had great recommendations for things to do in the area as well as plenty of maps and brochures. My brother and I were only able to stay for one night, but we have both vowed to return to this little piece of heaven. Hallstatt is just a few kilometers away, and Obertraun is a very nice town that we are glad we didn't miss. I cannot imagine a better place to stay, especially as Liz and Paul continue with renovations (Master suite and yoga room are coming soon). As great as the place is, the best part of or stay was certainly getting to know Liz and Paul. Listen to all of these reviews and book your room!
