Verwöhnhotel Berghof is a 4-star-superior hotel right next to the cable car in Alpendorf in the Ski Amadé region, a 5-minute drive from Sankt Johann im Pongau. It offers a luxurious spa area with various pools, saunas and a spa bath.

Review 1：we had a classic room and the bathroom was very small, but very nice. We joined a 1.5 hour walk, which turned out to be a wonderful 4.5 hour walk. but we missed our foot massages ! St Johan very quiet. First time holiday in August meant pool full of alien things, oh my wife says they are called children.

Review 3：At the restaurant, things were a little bit too organised: the table was dedicated for the whole stay (but we asked to change to get a window table to enjoy the view), the beverages we choose on day one for breakfast was served the other days (but we also specify we'd like to change occasionally) Too few english spoken staff member.

Review 4：Very nice hotel at the bottom of the mountains (50m from the gondolas) The half-board was exceptional with a large buffet for breakfast and 5-6 services for diner. The staff was super friendly even with the langage barrier

Review 7：The staff --especially the kitchen folk-- were lovely. Highly diverse clientel, yet a strong family sense, like the alpine `Familienhotel' of yesteryear. Opulent breakfasts, excellent cuisine, firmly grounded in Austrian tradition with many playful details.

Review 11：Half board is worth every penny, the food was excellent. It was slight less formulaic than the other hotels in Alpendorf, this is a good thing. Location is perfect and the staff are super friendly (but they all are in Austria).

Review 12：Long dinners (2-2.5 hours) are not for families with small kids. Rooms are very small. Swimming pool is without exit to outside. Spa is not allowed for kids under 16. Whirlpool bath was too cold.

Review 14：the only thing I really missed was an air conditioning. If you open the windows at night it cools down, but there is a lot of noise from the road.

Review 20：Unfortunately smoking was allowed in bar and tended to permeate everywhere. As is the practice in many Austrian hotels, swimwear is not permitted in the hotel's beautiful wellness area which means you can only use the swimming pool if you want to keep your kit on.

The hotel has indoor and outdoor facilities for children, with very friendly staff. They were organizing all kind of activities for children. The restaurant provides very good choices for each meal and also a good variety of meals for children. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone could speak English. Location is excellent close to a playground and to a cable car. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Review 24：I could not fault this hotel. The staff were extremely polite, attentive, diligent and caring. It seemed like the "boss" a slim lady, worked alongside everyone and generaed a great working spirit. Right alongside the lift, can't beat the location. Good beer and food. Excellent all round.
