Reviews for Parknasilla Self-Catering Lodges
Review 1:Accommodation fantastic loved it and loved the spa, staff were wonderful. Dinner was great and good value our party of 20 all enjoyed themselves, will be back.
Review 2:We stayed in the apartments. There was no iron and the walls needed a fresh coat of paint. Dishwasher didn't wash dishes properly. No signs upon arrival to show us where we are to collect our keys from.
Review 3:We liked the walks around the hotel.
Review 4:The floor in the lodge wasn't as clean as it could have been. Parking was also an issue as it seemed that staff were parking at our end
Review 5:Travelling with 10 month old babies the lodges were ideal .
Review 6:Only issue i had was our apartment had l8ving area upstairs and the resort does not supply stair gates. If booking again i would request a house with downstairs living space.
Review 7:Ideal holiday for our situation...holiday with a baby and 2yr old. Our toddler loved the onsite playground and woodland walks. A relaxing holiday enjoyed by all.
Review 8:The kitchens in the lodges are not well equipped very basic utensils. Spa needs work a few more cubicles and everything should be working
Review 9:Beautiful location, very friendly staff, loved the electric kayaks .... Great fun
Review 10:The doors upstairs in the lodge. There was a little door stopper but this was easily pulled up and child could fall from the first storey. There was a lot of watching on the kids to make sure they didn't open these doors.
Review 11:Fairy walk, safe clean modern playground, the pool, the bar food, fantastic lodges, coastal walks, games room
Review 12:Best place ever for all the family . Lodges are great and beds so comfortable I honestly could not Fault anything . And staff are so helpful and friendly .
Review 13:Only issue was that in the lodge the open plan kitchen & living area is upstairs which was a big hazard for our 18 month old. We put a chair across the opening to the stairs but this then became a nuisance for getting up & down.
Review 14:Comfortable lodge. Short walk to the main hotel where we enjoyed the pool & thermal suite each evening. The kids loved the fairy trail, made a walk in the forest a lot more interesting!
Review 15:nothing negative. More information on regulating heat in the Lodge would be helpful. As Irish people we preferred cool to great heat.
Review 16:Comfortable beds and seating in lounge. Proximity to Spa facilities and excellence of same, and to village of Sneem. Location of hotel lounge overlooking the sea
Review 17:We ate once in the Pygmalion restaurant which we thought was overpriced. The scallop starter consisted of two small not very fresh scallops and from memory the price was around €11. Rack of lamb for main course was a lot nicer. The wine list was also expensive.
Review 18:The self-catering lodges are very spacious and well appointed. We made extensive use of the Spa facilities which are top class. We also took several walks around the grounds and along the shore line which were magnificent. The staff were excellent.
Review 19:Not much and nothing to important! The lodges are not serviced for fresh towels as there is washing machine tumbler dryer in kitchen. However the tumble dryer was on for 5 hours and the towels came out wet! It was not a problem as we had spare towels and were able purchased towels in spa area! But I would advised people to bring extra towels if they don't wanna pay for extras and don't wanna listen to the tumble dryer going all night! Other than that nothing we loved this place!
Review 20:We loved everything about the break! Lodges were perfect size for party of four and all mod cons are available to use! Walks in the resort area are stunning and the spa leisure facilities were amazing! We will be back xo

Review 35:We stayed in the lodges, there are really well equipped. Great kitchen, fab bedrooms, plenty of space for the 4 of us. The hotel is delightful and the grounds are beautiful. Lovely staff, Maurice in the bar was very friendly, the reception staff were great, as was PJ. A great place for a family break, looking forward to going back
Review 36:In the self catering lodge the disabled shower leaked all over the floor because the drain didn't take the water quickly enough.
Review 37:Location, peace, quiet, walks, option to self cater or eat at the hotel, access to pool and spa plus treats. Love the relaxed homely feel of the place. And the scenery, it's stunning
Review 38:Suite of furniture was very grubby..... A kid's pool would have been good for us as a family of small kids.
Review 39:Stunning location. Excellent spa. Fabulous walks, especially The Fairy Trail.
Review 40:room was a bit hot. you could install some ceiling fans for comfortable sleeping since the windows were to remain closed
Review 41:everything was great, staff very helpful.
Review 42:Had pizza for lunch sunday for children, toasted sandwiches for adults, pizza awful crust too thick toppings stodgy; toasties similarly had lettuce (wilted( inside and unmelted cold slice cheese; poor affair in total
Review 43:Lunch meat cheese platter. Fairy trail for children, great spa swimming pool-playground excellent.
Review 44:We had a few small issues. The house was far too hot when we checked in. Had to get facilities down to turn off all heat but it took more than 24 hours to cool down to being comfortable. Also, the pool temperature was very varying...perfect one day, quite cold the next. And lastly, there was a lot of debris still around from the storms. But we still really enjoyed our stay and would go back.
Review 45:There is such a relaxing atmosphere around the whole place. We barely needed to leave the grounds except for a quick visit to the local shop. Spent our days walking the grounds which is like a big adventure with young kids. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 46:It would be good if the bistro option for food had more of a restaurant setting and more availability of seating as the food was lovely.
Review 47:The lodges were lovely with everything we needed and the views from the hotel were gorgeous. The hot tub over looking the bay was especially fab!
Review 48:What's not to like about Parknasilla. Perhaps a 'welcome pack' on arrival at the Lodges. Its quite a distance to the shops for a 'pint of milk'!!
Review 49:I'v been going to Parknasilla for years - its a 'little slice of heaven'. The Lodge provided a new, self-catering, dimention which really added value. Perhaps the best break I've had in recent times. What a lovely golf course. An excellent location for rest, walks, golf or spa.
Review 50:The apartment was just amazing made for a very relaxing stay!
Review 51:The self catering lodges were very spacious and clean.
