Review 1：- Staff were either overbearing / over the top or didn't know what they were doing. - unnecessary to have constant representation in the gym. Slightly uncomfortable while working out - bottom of pool could really do with a clean - husband got ill after one morning's breakfast's. perhaps avoid keeping things heated up or avoid reheating food ? - Floor butler disappeared off the floor for the entire stay. Uncontactable despite him telling us he'd be at our service ... - asked for a second room card about three times and gave up in the end - communication sometimes an issue: staff don't understand English particularly well You can have the best location/interiors/setting in the world but, if the staff aren't trained properly it spoils the uniqueness and air of how special a place like this could be.

Review 2：- Location was beautiful - Comfort was great - Setting was amazing - Food was good - Room w/a view was stunning - Grounds were gorgeous and well maintained - cleanliness superb - arrival by boat is lovely - gives chance to enjoy the setting and approach - welcome was lovely - music and rose petals (only after we'd passed i looked back and saw the petals being swept up. Rather took away the special efforts).

Review 3：Besides the lake, the other exits of the hotel represent back alleys of rural India and you can imagine the rest. Breakfast is extra !! wrong policy of the hotel after paying about 800$ a night it gives a wrong signal to wealthy clients who CAN afford it but dont want to be used .Therefore all the good actions of the hotel is a little tarnished by this gesture.

Review 14：We did not have hot water on arrival after a 9 hour bus trip. We were however upgraded the following day to a suite which was great and was appointed a personal butler. She followed me around all day which was very uncomfortable. I had to pay for wifi which considering what we paid for the hotel is actually unacceptable.

Review 22：Leela Palace Udaipur is probably one of the trendiest hotel in Udaipur. For me personally, Taj property looked like an Govt IB. I would rate Oberoi Udaivilas as no: 1 and Leela Palace Udaipur as No: 2 hotels. I was initially disappointed with the room i got as i had very clearly mentioned as Lake view room during booking, However there was some confusion among the staff i guess who gave me a heritage property view. The staff made it up for the mistake and not only did they provide me a Lake view room, but was given a complementary upgrade to a suite on the 3rd floor. Overall, our stay, let it be the food, bed comfort, staff and any other services was a 10 of 10. I would anytime go back to the same place and stay at this beautiful property.

If you leave earlyto see the sights, they ask you why you haven't had breakfast, Ifyou return with shopping bags they tell you about their gift shop,Enough already! As you are checking in they tell you they have made youreservations at their very upscale restaurant, not simply securing areservation because it's high season...They were ineffective atmaking rail reservations and offered a car to take us to the next stopat 3 times the going rate. Never again!
