Review 1：Quite many little things were not ok when I checked in, like TV was not plugged in, toilet was not 100% clean. All was managed in 5 minutes, so no issue, but quality control might be improved. Hotel is so big that you do a lot of walking...

Review 3：Our room was very close to the stairwell so it was quite noisy with people coming down the stairs and down the hall. The rooms were quite dated for a 5 star hotel. The rest of the facilities were great

Review 10：Very nice rooms, near perfect designs. Beautiful lawns for walking. Nice breakfast. You can reach the lake after a three-minute walk. Lots of birds. Nice pool even for a winter evening. Peacocks. But the best of all was the service: absolutely outstanding. Perhaps the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

Review 11：11 of us (3 Families) travelled from Switzerland, Singapore and New Delhi on our first trip to Udaipur. Staff was very courteous, helpful and professional as expected from "Brand Oberoi". We visited Bada Mahal (Inside property) and were very well hosted by Mathuralal ji. All staff including the GM. Mr Saincher, Front Office Manager, Mr. Adarsh, Staff Mr Mahi, Ms Shruti took great care of us. Rooms were clean. Property is very nice with well groomed lawns. Breakfast was good. We also had lunch at the Aravalli Restaurant with great service. Thank you to the Trident team for making our stay memorable.

Review 12：Even air has to be paid for. Rooms are a bit old and if you are unlucky, because of the lay-out, to be at the end of the corridor you are very far away.

Review 26：I personally did not find the staff very hospitable. I had a specific incident where i requested one the staff members to pack some croissant for us as we were heading back to delhi the same day and had small kids in the car, however the look on her face was very disapproving and unsettling. she just dumbed the box of 3-4 croissants on my table. I also asked her to serve some cheese on our table for breakfast to which she responded that i can take it on my own. It was very disappointing. We are Taj Group members and always stick to booking in taj and hence my benchmark for quality in every hotel comes their standard. Not even once in my 7-8 years of stay in Taj have i encountered a situation with the staff there, in fact they are so hospitable that they go one step ahead to make the customer feel delighted and comforted. Quality of service is a very important aspect of any good quality hotel and bad staff can be a huge put off. I hope you will be able to take this feedback in the right spirit and make changes. Review 27：The property in terms of infrastructure as well has facilties and amenities provided are good. Has a good location and the kids club is a good initiative to keep the children engaged

Review 29：Trident breakfast is a specialty. From the view where they lay the breakfast, to their additional menu upon request which had what not from waffles to pancake dosa Uthpam and much more. Hospitality wins over everything definitely.

Review 30：Other guests with kids were using the corridors as playgrounds which woke us up at 6 am, room service tried charging us extra for no reason- it's a good thing we noticed the extra charge at checkout, the bed was not comfortable, tour prices through concierge were extortionate.

Each of staff members go out of way to help the guests. Duty Manager Pallab arranged a cake and nice bouquet for us during our holidays - this was just beyond our level of expectations. Review 54：We were celebrating our engagement and the hotel delivered a bunch of roses, chocolate cake and decorated the room with rose petals. It was a lovely surprise! The hotel grounds and pool area is gorgeous. There are many peacocks and a huge animal sanctuary connected to the hotel - only 5 mins walk away. Lots of space - would have loved to stay longer!

Review 55：Room and hotel amenities were not up to the mark for the tariff we paid. Simple things like bathrobe, iron, choice of tea etc. was missing.

Getting a cab/taxi for sightseeing could be a nightmare as the property a not very centrally located and the cabs which the hotel arranges are a rip off. Make sure you get a couple of cab guy's numbers on your way from the airport or railway station.

Review 68：The huge property is really well maintained and beautiful. Could spend all my 4 days in it. Ambience was spectacular and so was the staff, very helpful, kind and always had a smile on their faces even though the hotel was completely booked. They were really nice and offered us a upgrade to their other high-end property i.e. Udaivillas which in itself is a masterpiece and a must visit. From the time we checked-in we knew this was going to be a perfect getaway. Welcome drinks, room service, laundry and the staff at the restaurant and the bar was great. Lush green property, beautiful and well maintained garden, pool and children's playing area.

When complaint to staff the reply was: they are all none smoking rooms... - Taxi organised by travel service is by far more expensive (x5) than taxi's organised by yourself.

We had intimated the hotel of our need for a late check out right at the time of booking and offered to pay extra if necessary They neither said no, nor did they commit, they said we will let you know and this was a non refundable and no-cancellation booking, so even when I got another hotel room that could meet my requirement I could not cancel without losing all my money, the restaurant and food options within the hotel is fairly limited things like door bell, telephone, internet etc could have worked better. what surprised us was that when hotels world over are changing & offering free wifi, this hotel charges Rs 800 + tax for a days use of wifi

The rooms are very clean, well furnished (soft furnishings and furniture design etc) and comfortable, A few of the staff were being extra nice and polite etc., but they do not have the empowerment to help a guest in need so they just can speak nice words and good English but they are helpless. Whatever food we did have was at their one and only coffee shop and it was of good taste and quality

Review 84：At check out I payed the bill by credit card and the lady at the reception desk set the paying device in "euro" (this was the first time after many hotels we have stayed in India that we payed by credit card in euro and not in rupees). The problem was that the exchange rate made by the hotel bank was 1 euro=75 rupees when the official exchange rate was 80 that morning ( checked on internet the same time when paying). This meaned that I payed the bill 10 euros more( a lot of money for India) so this made us very disappointed! The lady and her male colleague didin t fixed this situation when I told them that it was very strange that they made me pay in euro with this absurde rate and this made us even more disappointed. Another bad thing about the hotel is that the burger meat that we ordered as in dining room dinner contained some strange spieces that were not mentioned in the in room menu. I told this to the chef and he thanked me for my feed back. I ate only half burger. A little discount on the pricy meal was appreciated, but it didn t came. This hotel gave a lot of attention to service, but lacked on service in this 2 situations during our stay

Review 88：The food was not that impressive. Moreover, it was quite difficult to get a taxi from the hotel as access to the Oberoi/Trident compound is restricted. The ones you could order from the hotel's travel desk were way overpriced. For those without a car, I recommend taking the contact number of your cab driver from the airport or any rickshaw driver you meet in the city, and giving them a call when you need them.
