Reviews for Hotel Be Manos
Review 1:No bad experiences at this property, although being English, I might have appreciated tea / coffee making facilities in the room. Not a complaint at all really, just would have been a perfect finishing touch for me.
Review 2:The location, close to Midi Station, very easy for Eurostar travellers from the UK. The staff were ALL very attentive and most helpful. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished. A delightful small hotel, ideal for short stay business trips.
Review 3:Breakfast...thought it was overpriced for 20euros each and the parking of 20euros on top was a bit much once I found out how much on street parking was.
Review 4:Nice vibe and comfy beds and great shower!
Review 5:it was slightly further out than we'd hoped but to be honest it was a cheap, short taxi.
Review 6:looks and feels great, very smart. The rooms are very stylish, albeit quite dark.
Review 7:The spa was at an extra cost (15euro pp per day) which seemed unnecessary.
Review 8:The room was fantastic; spacious, comfortable bed, great bathroom with a bath and good quality shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 9:A fitness space is maybe missing, to definitely make this hotel my favorite venue in Bruxelles.
Review 10:Very warm welcome from the staff, with a free upgrade!! The room was just perfect, location is fine, and breakfast very good.
Review 11:Love the modern look and amenities !! ... Neighborhood was just okay but can't be changed, still fairly close to downtown and easy access from train.
Review 12:For 5 star hotel, I expect to have kettle and iron in the room but was none. I asked for kettle but unfortunately out of stock until my 4th day.
Review 13:Over all, the staff are very friendly, attentive, approachable.
Review 14:The neighborhood doesn't seem very safe in the evening ,I just had to make sure get dropped in front of hotel.
Review 15:Hotel staffs are very nice and helpful. After 3 nights stay I headed to train station to Pairs with 3 luggages by shuttle. The driver even helped me carry all the stuff into the station window. The hotel breakfast is really great .By the way ,when I checked out the front desk waived the fee for the sauna
Review 16:I really had to think about whether to include this it seems so pettybut our Booking.com email said there would be complimentary water butwhen my wife went to claim it was met with flat denial and she was notbelieved until she showed the email. It was then very grudgingly allowed- one small bottle between three of us. I went down the next morning tohave a word with the boss but much the same reception. Not perhaps a bigdeal in the scheme of things but bloody aggravating as otherwisewe'd have bought it on the walk from the station. You and the hotelneed to get your stuff together on this to avoid further confusion.
Review 17:Location convenient for Eurostar, perhaps not quite as great for thecentre but no big deal. Nice quirky decor, great shower.
Review 18:As a women, I didn't like that shower gel etc smelled like they were 'for men'.
Review 19:good-size, quiet room with comfy bed; friendly staff; clean; very good Brasserie across the road.
Review 20:A noisy guest the first night. As we faced the courtyard, his voice travelled. I had to call the desk. After that no problem.
Review 21:The reception, room and breakfast. We were greeted warmly. The room was comfortable with plenty of outlets,a comfortable bed,and great tub with shower. Breakfast had a variety of excellent food. For us the location was fine,as we were near the Midi station and we were traveling by train. Nicole at the front desk was extremely helpful. All the staff were professional, yet friendly.
Review 22:The glass door to the bathroom. We bumped into it a few times.
Review 23:The location is perfect. Just minutes walk from the MIDI station and close to all attractions. We ended up walking around most of the time. The service was good. The front desk volunteered to show us all the attractions on the map and brought us travel brochures in Chinese and gave us dinning recommendations. The breakfast has a good variety. The room is spacious and quiet. The decoration of the whole hotel is artsy.
Review 24:Window view on the wall and other rooms' windows :(
Review 25:Helpful staff, design, comfort, breakfast, very clean. 20min walking to Manneken Pis and Grand Place. I wish I stayed longer.
Review 26:The milieu is not the nicest in Brussels. Convenient location close to Midi station, otherwise there is not much in the surrounding area.
Review 27:Be Manos is a design statement: everything is planned and crafted with care. Thoughtful yet functional and spacy rooms. Everything works and is very comfortable. Aesthetically inviting and exiting: plenty of different materials, textures, details. I liked the rock floor and ceilings in the bathroom and admired the beautiful lightning and lamps all over the hotel. Excellent bed to sleep. Breakfast ok.
Review 28:Location meant a 10-15 walk down a somewhat scruffy road into tourist areas, but balancing that against it being 2 minutes from the Eurostar station and the room was blissfully quiet, I would still recommend it.
Review 29:Design and rooms really had wow factor. The dinner we had was really memorable too.
Review 30:No bad experience at all.
Review 31:The location (so close to a Metro station), the staff, the rooms and the service in general.. the rooms were spacious and so comfy, the bathrooms were super clean and stylish. The hotel style was modern and elegant.
Review 32:I would not classified this as a 5 stars, as the service are more like a 2 stars. The breakfast is very basic, luckily it was free with my booking otherwise I would not recommend it. I had a room on the spa level, I had people walking with their bathrobe. Appalling! The area is not great and I will stay well away unless you want to waste your money. If you have any complaint do not bother to raise it with the management, they would just say sorry but nothing would be done. A real pity as the rooms have been nicely done but the service is what makes a great hotel.
Review 33:The hotel facilities are fine and the rooms are nicely done. It is a walking distance to the Brussels Midi train station.
Review 34:- Instead of an upgrade, I would have preferred free breakfasts. - a great shower (and not a bath) could also be an asset
Review 35:- the vey large rooms - the large bathroom - the modern design - the free shuttle to Gare du Midi
Review 36:Going to Sablon is a 15 minutes walk through very unpleasant area. Also close to the central station.. very dirty around there
Review 37:Overal design, room design, very nice lobby bar.
Review 38:Too dark, couldn't see anything even with the light on. Too many steps to get to room with no assistance offered from front desk. Unfriendliness from front desk staff.
Review 39:Large room
Review 40:restaurant prices were a bit expensive for our normal range but food good
Review 41:Given a terrace room as an anniversary gift plus complimentary tickets to brewery when I said I was interested in it.
Review 42:Difficult for a smaller hotel but breakfast buffet hot food would be better if prepared & refreshed more frequently.
Review 43:Spacious room, comfortable big bed & stylish decor. Easy to get to from Eurostar & metro. Cleanliness & bathroom were outstanding, staff helpful.
Review 44:Carnival in front of hotel. Walk into the City Centre was a little scary. Lack of choices in nearby restaurants.
Review 45:Proximity to train station. Extremely quiet room. Very helpful staff. The one nearby restaurant was very good.
Review 46:Needs a bit of refreshing ; the matras has been used a lot, you felt that! On the first floor you hear the fountain until 22u o'clock, and again from 9 am! We find that disturbing.
Review 47:Friendly staff, modern feel, close to the railwaystation Brussel Zuid
Review 48:Loved the bathroom and shower. Room size was good.
Review 49:A little dark on the stairs, the staff did well despite the lockdown helping us get around and fill our time well
Review 50:The layout of the room a bed too close to bathroom
Review 51:The food was excellent
Review 52:The lights in the rooms are very weak! You're also missing a printer/scanner in the business center...
Review 53:The overall feel and look was good
Review 54:Paying for parking.
Review 55:Decor
Review 56:Colour scheme a little ' heavy' with black carpets but small detail .
Review 57:Very quiet rooms . Professional service
Review 58:Location was a disaster for a walking distance to anywhere Pets stay at this hotel
Review 59:Cleanness and Staff . Room was spacious .
Review 60:The unique design The staff friendliness
Review 61:Very helpful front reception. We secured tickets to Waterloo 2015 re- enactment and were delighted overall with the service received.
Review 62:Slightly dodgy area
Review 63:Lovely big room, really comfortable bed, very close to Brussels Midi
Review 64:bad location
Review 65:brekfast
Review 66:Room key didn't work initially, wifi down first two hrs.
Review 67:Vey nice room
Review 68:Surroundings quite desolate. Have dinner in town before you return
Review 69:Within walking distance from Cantillon Brewery
Review 70:No view from the room
Review 71:Location Quiet Room Size Style & atmospher Breakfast Easy access by car
Review 72:Shuttle service did not function.
Review 73:Design Personal service Closed parking
Review 74:Awful smell from sewage (it was too late in night to ask for a change)
Review 75:Nice room; clean and friendly staff!
Review 76:Look of interior
Review 77:decoration cleanness room service
Review 78:Pretentious interior. No complimentary coffee or drinks in the room (like other 5 star hotel, or hotel claiming to be a five star hotel). Unfriendly staff. Hotel reserves the booking amount prior to the arrival - cancelled the reservation of the booking price only after they have been urged to do so... I will never stay there again.
Review 79:Nothing much.
Review 80:Gorgeous decor and furnishing. Classy and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food. Would definitely recommend - close to Station Midi but a little way from the centre, however transport on Metro very easy and inexpensive.
Review 81:The hotel for very tastefully decorated and the rooms were a very goodsize considering we had a 2 year old and a cot! The location been soclose to the train station was perfect as we could leave our bags whilewe went into the centre before we got the eurostar back home.
Review 82:It is not the nicest of all areas in the city. No restaurant on Sunday. The hotel is very dark but that is probably part of the trendy-design concept. Bit of a walk to the trainstation and quite expensive for that area of town
Review 83:Quite clean and friendly staff. Close the the train-station Midi, only the map is misleading as it does not clearly state the different train stations (Midi/Zuit; Centraal; Nord....)
Review 84:The mini bar is a great idea but 4 euros each soft & alcohol drinks is too expensive , the rooms wood benefit from free tea & coffee facilities as many people like a drink before breakfast
Review 85:Very peacefull, great location , staff very friendly & helpful nothing too much trouble. Planning on a return trip to this hotel later in the year
Review 86:Lighting in the room was too dim, the bathtub was difficult to get out of, and no privacy between room and bathroom, shuttle service to train station was not available on the day of departure without advance warning, hotel is located in a less than desirable area.
Review 87:The room was clean and wifi service was good. Reception staff were polite.
Review 88:Location is not the best end of town, but its the most lively with good links to train station. You can tell there is some money being invested in the area by Brussels council, it can only get better! Don't let area put you off, its only a 10 minute stroll to centre of city.
Review 89:Loved the style, the staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. Hotel is stylish and clean, rooms were well laid out and well sound-proofed. Would stay again.
Review 90:Location. Although the hotel is just a few steps from the tram station and the South station of Brussels giving a quick access to all destinations inside and outside the city one may need, one can not disregard the fact the hotel is in a rather shabby district. I'd even say the Aviation square in front of the hotel is like a clean island in a generally poor district
Review 91:Everything. No complaints about the hotel itself
Review 92:The location isn't ideal. The surroundings isn't an area I would walk alone around... However, very close to the train station! But make sure to call them for the shuttle service because no taxi will take you. And since we did not know a shuttle service was offered we were stuck walking with our heavy suitcases, in the rain, in sketchy areas... Nobody knew where the hotel was even though it was so close. Took us 50 minutes to find it...
Review 93:The hotel was beautiful. Rooms and lobby etc. are VERY clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and did not expect our room to be ready for hours. We sat down to grab a coffee and the gentleman told us a room was ready for us within 5 minutes, which is amazing when you travel and are tired! They offer a shuttle service for free to and from the hotel.
Review 94:The only thing i did not like was the last time i speak, recepsion are people whu are very rude and deny the mistakes they make !!!!! I made a payment to a girl and when i returned later to hotel, she said you paid only half of price , without shame!!! While the amount was fully paid parking plus , my husband asked to see the cameras to prove this thing that everything was paid and in the morning they said that was a mistake !! I am shocked by this way .... Anyone who comes to sleep there and especially when the cardholder is not doing such things , i m sorry for that beautiful hotel just lost a regular client that i am ....
Review 95:Design hotel is very special and beautiful and modern , feel good there is comfortable
Review 96:We noticed that the bathroom and toilet floors were not clean near the edges- the edges were very dusty. This is because the floor surface is almost impossible to clean properly because of its texture, and over time, the dirt builds up. We have stayed at the hotel many times before, and we think it's now looking a bit 'tired', in need of some renovation. We also missed having the slippers that previously have been provided - a sign that the hotel is having to make budget cuts, perhaps?
Review 97:We like the size of room, the wardrobe space, and the fact that the hotel has a car park.
Review 98:Location is terrible. I have never seen in Europe such a bad place, streets are dirty and crowded with all kinds of immigrants. I felt myself very uncomfortable outside. Receiption hall is a bit shabby. For the current rate and stars of the hotels the breakfast must be better.
Review 99:The desing is very interesting, but a bit dark, I like to add some light. Staff is excellent, they are very welcome.
Review 100:Our room was a little far from the lifts.
Review 101:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and surrounded by buildings with a lot of character. This is a hotel you would like to retire to after a busy day of activities.
Review 102:The location... Simply because my husband lost his phone in the area.
Review 103:I like the decor and the cleanliness of the hotel. Staff are veryhelpful too.
Review 104:We were delighted to be able to use the parking faculities which have only recently become known to us, when we stayed at the hotel earlier in February. Also, we used room service for the first time and thought this was effcient with the meal still hot when it reached us! We also found the staff on the Reception Desk very helpful.
Review 105:I wouldn't say that it is located in the most beautiful area of Brussels. Around the hotel, the area was multicultural-like neighbourhood and it looked kind of weird (without being disrespectful).
Review 106:The hotel was nicely decorated, with a decorative concept based on the black color which I really enjoyed. The room was big enough, clean with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. I loved it! What was really convinient for us was the fact that it is located 5 minutes away from the Gare du Midi/Zuid station because we where travellung by train. Plus, the hotel is located really close to the city's heart.
Review 107:Important: you pay 20 euro for a parking spot, the same for a breakfast. Expensive but delicious.
Review 108:My first time in Be Manos Hotel. My room 113, executive room was a very beautiful room with the necessary needs (locker, minibar, ...) and very good bed. Before I went with friends to a wedding, we drank a few coctails. They have a very nice bar (TIP).
Review 109:Location is the biggest problem and the only thing troubled me during my stay. And we (two females) preferred to take a taxi to get back to the hotel every night because the quatier seems to be scary at night. I don't recommend the hotel to female solo travellers.
Review 110:Clean and spacious room. Free shuttle to the train station(bruxelles -midi).
Review 111:The neighbourhood of the hotel is not very inviting and there was a burn stain in the carpet of our hotel room.
Review 112:We got a room at arrival even though we arrived very early. The hotal interior design is very nice and the hotel is located close to both the Metro and the train station.
Review 113:Near grand place but bad locarion. The hotel is in the middle of immagration area. In the night could be a problem. I think the hotel must organize a shuttle service in the night for who wants to visit city center .
Review 114:Design hotel
Review 115:The room clean needs to be done better (windows and the down marble in the toilette).
Review 116:I liked the room very much, the design was impressive and the bathroom as well. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 117:As others have commented, the surrounding area is very run-down. While in no way threatening, to find a decent restaurant outside the hotel you will have to travel a fair way. Other minor niggles - no iron (they offer an ironing service - at a price) only soft drinks and confectionery in the mini-bar, and only 5 clothes hangers in a double room (asked for and were promised more - never appeared)
Review 118:This hotel has style. The decor and furnishings might not be to everyone's taste, though it was to ours, but you can't deny they're well done. Good sized rooms, spotless cleaning and polishing, and the best internal sound-proofing I've come across in a long time. We loved the well appointed glass-fronted bathroom and the way each room has its own theme of photographic art.
Review 119:I didn't like the foot of the bed because I kept bumping my foot intothe corner of the bed, the location of the bathroom to the bed was notsuitable. There was no nice view.
Review 120:It is comfortable
Review 121:Bed base, easy to stub your toes. Toilet cubicle a little narrow. These are minor, but important when striving for perfection.
Review 122:Interesting design...not perfect but not bad, a very good attempt at doing something innovative.
Review 123:WiFi was down one day in the entire hotel and barely usable in the room anyway (it only sometimes worked in one corner of the room). Not what you'd expect from a high standard hotel. The area where the hotel was located is pretty rundown.
Review 124:spacious and stylish room, good restaurant, close to the Eurostar train station and city centre
Review 125:Room (junior suite) not as child-friendly as could be - there is a glasswall which my 2 year old walked into. Also I stubbed my toes twice onthe corner of the bed due to lack of contrast between dark carpet anddark bed. However these are very minor complaints.
Review 126:Staff were excellent. Free wifi. Quality breakfast for 10 euros. Freeshuttle to Gare du Midi on check out. Beautiful hotel. Room (juniorsuite) is big and very clean. Overall very impressed - easily out-classes the Marriott. Offers excellent value for money.
Review 127:OK it is not inside the center but I realised it takes 10 minutes walk to get there. I had a lot of packs when we left and they have their own shuttle to the train station
Review 128:Be Manos is still a very good place to stay High quality service and confort. They manage to keep their high standard thats a good point exemple : they have delicious cocktail
Review 129:The hotel was not so much design as I expected. I would rate iT more contemporary.
Review 130:Service, garage, atmosphere
Review 131:Food can be slightly better. The neighborhood is a bit dirty.
Review 132:It's a proper hotel in all aspects. Very clean. Good design of hallways and rooms.
Review 133:Location not great
Review 134:Room
Review 135:Privacy issues because of the the transparent bathroom-door right next to the bed. It was also not possible to close it properly.
Review 136:Room &bath very smole
Review 137:Staff very helpful
Review 138:A bit on a distance from the center, but no probs if you have a car.
Review 139:Design and space, and layout are super awesome. We loved the hotel!
