Review 1：Staff didn't give much information at check in like wifi password or breakfast, but was very nice, not really a complaint.

Review 2：Location is perfect near the bus stop and beach. Hotel is very clean and new looking. Good breakfast. Great value.

Review 4：friendly welcome from the staff. Although we booked a 2 bed apartment we got 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms with a connecting door which proved excellent for our party. Very good breakfast more than you could eat served with a smile. Very clean hotel and good pool overlooking the beach. This was our second visit and did not disappoint again.

Review 5：The room we booked - on the pictures it was new and modern, what we got was completly different. Old, used, smelly. They changed our room, but we had to pay extra money for the change.

Review 6：Be careful about the rooms - most of the pictures are from refurbished rooms, but there are just a few in this hotel. The other ones are very old and unpleasant. The new ones however are very nice and comfortable. Rich breakfast.

Review 7：What a fantastic location, right on the front, with the most amazing views from the restaurant/bar at the front of the hotel. Even though there is a road between the hotel and the beach, this is not a busy road and does not affect the beautiful surroundings. The staff are helpful and breakfast is lovely. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Review 8：The Hotel gave one of our group room bookings to another guest the day we were to arrive. We had to accept the inferior room for that night with no reduction in price. The next day we were told that it was not possible to change to get our original room. The manager was very helpful to rearrange the rooms. This booking was arranged one year in advance. We were not happy with the situation.

Review 20：Everything was very good but some travellers might like to note that very few rooms had self catering although all had a fridge and kettle. Some of the ones at the rear had limited views. Rooms at the front have excellent sea views.

Review 21：The staff were very helpful and friendly - Vickie on reception worked very hard and was always friendly and helpful. Maggie our cleaner was also cheerful and thoughtful. We liked the luxury touch of fresh flowers on the bed. The restaurant area was very smoothly run and breakfast was superbe with a big selection plus lots of homemade cake . We loved sitting over breakfast and watching the sea. The location by the beach was excellent. .

Review 23：urrently we returned, two pairs spend a weekend at the hotel in Plakias. Despite the fear was great, because the hotel is two stars, a big surprise was the hotel accommodation throughout. We got two different rooms, the triple room, which turned to the sea, the pool and street, the room was a table with chairs, a double bed-very comfortable, refrigerator, TV, bathroom, a bit dated, but functioned fine manner. The second pair, got a completely renovated room with a huge bathroom and brand new. Our booking included half board. The breakfast was very good, including several kinds of eggs, ham, cheese, a variety of flavors, jam and everything necessary. Dinner was another story: we got every night, a three-course meal + dessert. Every night there was something different, also had the option to choose the dishes for each guest, the food was very tasty, especially the cheesecake last night. The staff was courteous, smiling and dedicated. I am sure we will return there again.

Review 24：The whole hotel seemed a tad run-down, but nothing unpleasant. My parents had trouble sleeping because of the sea waves - but that's something you get with the view!

The room was very spacious with a furnished balcony, fridge, safe, tv and aircon. Very modern and well maintained. Staff were friendly, welcoming and books available for you to read whilst on your break. Plenty of parking just around the corner

Review 28：Grumpy receptionist. In the not renovated room: dreadful bathroom, uncomfortable bed, very old fridge and television. The pool cool not be used. It was empty.

Review 30：We had booked a standard room, which was a 4-bed room in the basement level. OK, only the shower was primitive, but nothing else negative.

Review 31：We had a problem with the rented car, no currency for our navigator. The reception recommended the "next door car rent", which found the faulty fuse and helped us from the dilemma. The breakfast was on the street level, in front of the beach, we enjoyed the view and the atmosphere.

Review 32：Initially given a lower standard of room than booked but were moved when asked and although this had been upgraded the connecting door to the adjoining room did not have any sound proofing qualities.

Near the hotel you can find the large free parking and cars for rent with very low price. The guys who worked in staff was very nice, attentive, sociable and helpful. Many thanks to guy on reception who for some reason called me by lastname :)) and to waiter from Albania who worked in restaurant every evening - thank you!

Review 40：We booked a studio but got the cheapest budget room with view on a parking lot. It smelled of smoke and when the electricity failed, they had to start an engine, which was just below our balcony, so the air was poisoned with gazoline and we couln't open our balcony door. After we complained about the room (which we didn't book.. we paid for a studio with kitchen and garden view), they made sure we got a better room the next day. Not a studio, but with sea view.

I don't know if there are rennovated rooms at this hotel, but the room we got needed definately immediate rennovation!!!!! The door would open by itself unless locked, there was hair on the pillows, the sheets were not ironed....

Review 44：The hotel is opposite the beach but it also has a lovely big garden at the back. Plakias is great for day trips as well. The staff were great so kind gentle and at ease. Lovely place and the food is delicious, try all the starters (which are very generous and made of fresh local food!)

Review 47：Wonderful hotel! We were staying there for 12 days in June-July. The hotel is situated in 50 metres from the sea where there is the private hotel`s beach. The sea view from the room was perfect. The staff is very friendly, helpful and reliable. The room was cleaned every morning. Bedclothes and towels were changed in a day. Food was really delicious. For dinner we had huge variety of different dishes. None of them were repeated for 12 days. The cook in the hotel is talented! The snack bar is open since the morning till night and everybody can eat and drink there in any time . Bech is very big and clean, and the sea is tremendous!

Review 50：When we arrived, in the room hair-dryier was missing. I had to ask it to the reception. We realized that the remote control of the air conditioning was missing during the night because we came back to the hotel after dinner and room was hot! The reception was closed. I tried to call receptioinist by phone several times, but he didn't answered. We slept without air conditioning that night. Other issue: after midnight the reception is closed, and the hotel keeps open the main door, without any control by someone.

Review 51：Very nice position in front of the bay of the Palehora village and close to the center of the village. The beach is in front of the hotel (20 mt). Cosy and friendly staff. Very good breakfast.

Review 99：The hotel is located in a great position right down on the sea front. If you don’t know the area, the town is very small and everything is located within a short distances. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is basic but very clean. The rooms are well equipped, the beds are comfortable and showers are very good. The staff in the hotel are welcoming and friendly. I went with my girlfriend for just over a week and we will be going back. Great hotel! Thanks again

Review 100：Perfect receptionist, Dionysius gave us great tips on restaurants, beaches, etc. Perfect location with a pool in front with a view of the sea. Spacious room with balcony and refrigerator and air conditioning. Value for money-couldn't be better!

Review 101：The beach is rocky and not so clean. We certainly saw nicer ones on Crete. Most of the rooms overlook at bar's roof in front of the hotel ruining the view. The bathroom was a typicial Greek joke: no proper shower cabin available.

Review 104：We liked the good customer service and the employees were so nice. My husband is vegeterian and they really put effort into the food. For example, they cooked vegetarian Moussaka. Also the kids loved the hotel, age 2 and 4. I would recommend this hotel.

Review 107：The Lamon Hotel sits right across the street from the beach and offers its own pool, as well. Breakfast was hearty and available right on time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, along the main street with shopping, restaurants, beach activities, scooter rentals, excursions, etc. available every few feet.

Review 108：The room did totally not look like as in the description. It was verysmall and completly dark. Even with the lights on, it was not enoughlight. The room smelled incredibly like urin and was not cleaned verywell. One of the pillows had yellow and brown stains on it, this is ano-go for me! Even the bathroom was not as I expected. The door of theroom was very thin so you could heard at least everything from outside.If it was not locked in opend on its own. Even the included breakfastwas really bad. There was a lot of different things to choose but thequality of meals was rather poor! The hotel itself was I think partlyrenovated, half of the rooms, sea sided, were ok, from what I spottedfrom outside. My room on the back side was a horror. The best thing - webooked the room for 45 € on booking.com. After some complainments, wegot it for 35, which then turned out to be the standard price for thisseason. Never again!

The breakfast were good and again great service. All the taverna's, local shopping and supermarkets are only meters away. I highly reccomend Hotel Lamon as a lovely place to stay and if we could we would stay there again.

Review 112：The male staff had only one focus, how to get "acquainted" with my teenage daughter. This is not what I consider polite or professional behavior. Using info from the guests passpors to befriend their children on facebook is a big no-no.
