Review 1：We really enjoyed our stay here! We were welcomed in by very friendly hosts and made to feel at home immediately. The location of the hotel is perfect, with it being off the main road, but only a five minute walk to the harbor and attractions of Husavik. The owners of the guesthouse gave us excellent advise for places to eat and well as sightseeing locally. They were also kind enough to let us know when the Northern lights appeared and gave us directions for a better view just out of town. The house was beautiful and our room was spotless, charming and very comfortable with a little stream just outside the window. The shared bathrooms were not an issue as there were several on our level (each being very clean and spacious). I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone!

Review 4：Comfortable guesthouse located in the centre of Husavik. The owner was very friendly and the room had a very homely feel. There is some car parking, but if this fills up then there is free long stay car parking can be found at the Church, which is only a short distance from the guesthouse.
Review 5：I got a car accident at Husavik and the owner and his assistant gave me more than i can expect. They provided a great support and a new car for achieving my round trip on Iceland. The stay was more than correct-comfy room, clean guesthouse and central, next to the Whale museum- and Mr Thorallur provided me great recommendations about visiting surroundings. Thanks again for the great stay ! He made my days!
Review 6：The younger guy (owners son?) had a bit of a bad attitude. He was ok but gave the impression that he didn't like his job. Lack of facilities, no tv, no books, no kettle, no access to kitchen. A very noisy coach load of people from China were staying there and our room was directly opposite the bathroom (even though I requested a quiet room). The other guests were in and out of the bathroom all night loudly 'gobbing' in the sink. They left the facillities filthy too. The walls were thin so we could hear the very loud snoring next door. I think an end room would have been quieter. We stayed in 8 places in Iceland and this was our least favourite due to lack of facilities, and noise.
Review 7：The decor was nice, the older man who served us breakfast in the morning was friendly. Breakfast was quite nice. Located very close to nearby restaurants/ whale watching. We ate at the restaurant affiliated with the whale tour (in wooden booking centre) the restaurant was lovely!
Review 8：Location is right near the harbour. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us. The place is very well kept and our room was clean and functional. There were enough shared bathrooms that we never had to wait. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Review 9：Breakfast is a bit basic, compared to the breakfast we had in other guesthouses and hotels in Iceland. But the beauty of the guest house and the friendly and helpful staff was more important to us.
Review 10：Very nice, friendly staff. Gave us as a bigger beautiful room as a free upgrade. Looked up the weather forecast to let us know wich day would be the best to do the whale watching trip on a boat. Drove us to the bus station very early in the morning.
Review 11：The soundproofing of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. I could hear every word from next door, as well as everyone walking past on the hallway. I could even hear whole conversations from the lobby at the bottom of the stairs. On top of that, you can even hear someone taking a shower from the breakfast room. A shame. The rooms are so nice but it's definitely not the place for peace and quiet.

Review 15：This little guesthouse in a quiet corner of Husavik provides a warm welcome, good breakfast and comfortable beds.The owners are always willing to give you advice on touring the area and finding some fantastic spots that aren't in the guidebooks, for example, a local hotpot! The service, comfort and convenient location more than make up for having to walk across the hall to use the bathrooms!
Review 16：Didn't like no ensuite facilities. The rooms are big enough to have a washbasin added. Didn't like some of my fellow guests - very noisy and no consideration when sharing facilities. For eg. Using a hairdryer at 9 o'clock at night in the bathroom - use your own room and stop hogging the facilities.

Breakfast was very good with a variety of things to choose from and was continually refilled so there was plenty for everyone. Shared bathroom which was kept very clean and had a bath with shower over. we stayed two nights and were very happy with everything.

Review 29：Fantastic location in a beautiful little village. Ella was friendly and had good tips on things to do and see. She even booked our whale trip for us. We left very early on the last day and she was there to give us breakfast before we left, even though we were earlier than the official breakfast time. The guesthouse was spotless and the beds comfortable. We will definitely go back.

Review 41：I came to Husavik for the whale watching and was informed once on the boat that there were no whales this time of year. Be cautious of when you book a trip here for the whales. Otherwise, it was a lovely harbor town with amazing scenery and fresh fish on the menu. The boat ride was an interesting, wet, cold and choppy, experience. This is not something the Guesthouse is responsible for obviously, but as far as location goes, it bears mentioning.
Review 42：The host was also the owner and he was very affable and accessible. He definitely had pride of ownership of this historic property. The single room was small but comfortable and had a nice view of the bay. I never had a problem accessing the shared bath even with the place 60% occupied. Breakfast included homemade items.

The bathrooms are shared but individual so you wouldn't be showering with others. we were two girls and found themcompletely fine especially as we were the only ones staying at the time! Breakfast was a spread of lovely breads,Jams, cereals, juices, teas, meat, cheeses, yoghurt and dried fruits. Would definitely stay again
