Reviews for Ariadne Beach Hotel

Review 1:The area is very touristy.... But the Ariadne is situated in a very nice spot between two very busy tourist areas...

Review 2:We had a deluxe room, and it was lovely with sea views

Review 3:1) Street outside - no foothpath and too many young guys racing up and down on quads and bikes. Also very busy with big tour buses. Street is really only wide enough for a one way system. 2) A couple of drinking glasses in the room would be nice - considering there is a small fridge. 3) Breakfast coffee is the worst I have tasted in my three weeks in Greece. Maybe ok for the mainly German guests but cannot see French or Italians staying here! 4) No freshly squeezed juice at breakfast. 5) Only received soap, shampoo and shower gel on the first day. Never renewed or replaced. Ran out of soap on our last morning. 6)Wash handbasin and mirror not cleaned very well by house keeping. 7) Asked for a replacement towel as we dropped one in the bath accidently - man at reception made a big deal of it - as towels are only changed every second day. 8) Internet connection very bad

Review 4:1) Beach - narrow but clean and sandy. 2) Pool close to beach and nice lawn around it. 3) Room cleanliness and modern. 4) Balcony view to the sea and pool. 5) Free parking.

Review 5:Wifi was very poor and was not available in the room where the signal was good enough, only from the reception hall.

Review 6:Location is great, close to shops and restaurants. Green territory, grass lawns and sandy beach are wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 7:Extra charge of € 1.80 for any beach chairs or umbrella per day. The breakfast was a little disappointing - tinned fruit salad, long-life milk, second quality coffee.

Review 8:Beautiful beach location, pool directly before it, no road between hotel and beach. Comfortable rooms, perfectly clean. Direct public bus connections to Heraklion at half a mile. Surrounded by shops and nice restaurants. Lots of cheap car hire available right next to hotel. Nice short day trips possible throughout Western Crete

Review 9:Dinner is poor as the breakfast, room as to hot and not well located, to noisy. You have to pay for the beach chairs, which is ridiculos! Is better to include this in the night rate....

Review 10:Front beach and the swimming pool! Close to good restaurants and shoop.

Review 11:Very poor internet, breakfast could have been better

Review 12:The hotel is just on the sandy beach, very clean rooms

Review 13:Noisy place. The hotel's located on somewhat busy street with some nightlife in bars and restaurants in vicinity. The beach is open to high winds. Swimming in the sea was mostly forbidden due to weather: red flag was on the beach 3.5 days out of 5).

Review 14:Green grass beach! Good swimming pool. Not far from KTEL intercity bus stops for traveling to all the Crete attractions without rent auto. All kinds of taverns, restourants, cafe, tourist shops and tour agencies nearby.

Review 15:Basic things like use of the room safe and air conditioning were extra money as was also use of a sun bed. no entertainment other than internet access which has no headphones or printer available.

Review 16:Room was clean, pool was good, the hotel pool is within yards of the beach which was nice. The food was nice and dinning room staff efficient.

Review 17:Hotel is divided between several buildings. Two of them are behind the noisy road and there could be hard to sleep due to traffic and close bar.

Review 18:Great pool area with grass and few smaller trees. You could pay 5€ for sunbeds or you just could lay down at your towel for free.

Review 19:Sorry.. I have no any idea...

Review 20:We have been to Ariadne for the second time. Nevertheless, I can't describe in details my impressions of stay at Ariadne Beach hotel yet. And there's no too much sense in details... The atmosphere on the spot is a mix of calm, friendliness, and comfort. I guess, the mainstream of the hotel is utter hospitality and a pretty good service. My special thanks - to the owners and to the management of this nice hotel. Mr. Kostas, your friendly gift - local spices - is incredible aromatic remembrance about your amazing island!

Review 21:The only bad part was the beds were very uncomfortable and the hall ways were noisy in the morning, but this is not enough to make me not recommend the hotel. It was still a great place to stay!

Review 22:We loved the location. It was right on the beach and right by the shops and restaurants. The town is very busy but not filled with drunken teenagers like in Malia. It is very good for young and older couples and families. The staff were so nice and friendly. The pool bar was outstanding....great drinks and amazing food. We never had any trouble getting a beach chair and umbrella and we always had our choice of beach side tables overlooking the ocean at the restaurants. The water and beach sand was very clean as well.

The Fine Print
