Reviews for Húsavík Guesthouse
Review 1:To leave...
Review 2:It was just great! We got an upgrade to a better room. Breakfast was plentiful, staff smiley, location ideal. Nothing to complain about. Loved it!
Review 3:Breakfast is in another building. The room is rather plain, old furniture, just 2 beds and a sink. Bathroom is on another floor completely and the light switch is hidden in the cabinet. Rather high price for what they actually offer.
Review 4:Breakfast is included in the price.
Review 5:We checked-in late and have been upgraded to a room in the hotel which has been very nice and cosy. Lovely surprise! We had a view on a roof but didn't ask for any view at the guesthouse so we can not complain.
Review 6:We actually were acommodated in their twin property - Husavik Cape Hotel, which for us was the best stay in Iceland. Everything was perfect! Thank you!
Review 7:Important to remove silver jewelery before taking a bath in the sulphuric water!
Review 8:We were upgraded to the Husavik Cape Hotel so can't review the guesthouse. The hotel was great and reception staff very pleasant and helpful.
Review 9:Expensive, but ok.
Review 10:very good service, excellent room. Nice amenity.
Review 11:Beds could have been a little bigger.
Review 12:Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful...
Review 13:Friendly personnel, clean, happy, nice view.
Review 14:The room was not warm and dark. The staff was not so kind and there was no kitchen!!
Review 15:The breakfast was good.
Review 16:Nice house, good staff, quiet, highly recommend it.
Review 17:Only for people who like to wake up in the middle of the night because the sink blurps
Review 18:Location and breakfast are ok
Review 19:The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. We had a free promotion to the hotel as a room was free. Also : free coffee and hot chocolate.
Review 20:My review is not for the guest house but for the Cape hotel, because when I arrived, i was upgraded. The guest house is a hundred meters away and the breakfast is at the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the harbour when boats leave for whale watching. The staff was very kind, the hotel clean and the room very big. The breakfast was good. Nothing to complain about.
Review 21:The reception was a block away, however, was fairly easy to find. The breakfast was also at reception. All the bathrooms were down stairs.
Review 22:The staff at the Cape hotel (where reception is) were very helpful and gave many great recommendations with thorough instructions. The room was comfortable with a sink in the room. I really liked the sitting room with tea and coffee available. The breakfast (at the cape hotel) was very good with a wide selection of options. I really appreciated that the staff held our luggage while we went whale watching.
Review 23:Building was a bit dated and needed some upkeep. The end table wasunusable and lighting was weak. We borrowed a lamp from thesitting room. Advertised parking but it was basically find yourown on the street.
Review 24:Location was good and easy walk to town.
Review 25:Dirty staircase (floor), maybe some guests went in with their shoes on
Review 26:Welcoming host, lot of space in the living room, good breakfast in thenearby Hotel, cosy room
Review 27:While the apartment was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen lackedcooking supplies (pots, pans, etc.), but the staff found us what weneeded to get by.
Review 28:When our family of four arrived, the staff thought we would be toocrowded in the small room we had booked and offered us an apartment fora good price. They were helpful and friendly, and even stopped by towarn us that the grocery store was closing at 7 pm! They also went outof their way to assist us in locating seals. In addition, they took timeto share information about local customs. Wonderful!
Review 29:Not enough attention to detail: like not having reading lamps, just an overhead. An end table had a slatted top that things fell through, so it wasn't handy for a traveller looking for a place to set something.
Review 30:Location. The sweater on the tree out front! Really, a sweater hand knitted to the tree trunk. Awesome.
Review 31:Over 70 Euros for a very basic 2 per 4 metre room without any roomservice (the waste paper basket was not emptied in three days and thetowel was not replaced either) is bad value, which can only be explainedby the lack of accomodation in this small village
Review 32:The view from the room was a beautiful green field, breakfast wasfine, the reception members at Husavik Cape Hotel were professionaland friendly
Review 33:The room was small and dark. The guesthouse appeared to be an annexe of the nearby superior Husavik Cape hotel where we had breakfast.
Review 34:Guest house was convenient for a whale-watching trip. The shared bathrooms were large and clean and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We were given a discount as we were given a twin rather than a double room.
Review 35:Good located guesthouse in Husavik. The rooms very good and the beds comfortable. OK breakfast. You pick up the kee at a hotel, close to the guesthouse, and there´s where the breakfast also is served. Helpful staff.
Review 36:Amplasare
Review 37:nothing
Review 38:The staff were very helpful and the dining area come library was quite special
Review 39:The room was far too small for the price.

Review 42:a beautiful bed and breakfast, clean and with all of the needs. nice for rest after a whale watching tour :)
Review 43:Excellent breakfast, good location.
Review 44:Water had a strong sulfur scent.
Review 45:There was an in room sink with 2 shared bathrooms. Close to whale watching.
