Review 1：No dislikes at all everything was quality.

Review 3：Sometimes it can be noisy at night. But it's Malia! You need to know before you go :) And just a remark - our towels were not refreshed on a day before we left although it should be! So don't be shy and remind the staff if they are so busy that they forgot something :)

Review 4：First of all the people at Philoxenia are awesone - Georgios and Nasos, the owners, are so cheerful, bartender George is so talented and welcoming guy, master chief at the kitchen is cooking top Greek food with fresh ingredients every evening! Do not hesitate to spend your dinner time at the hotel at least once! And, for sure, you will spend more evenings having the dinner there and nowhere else after it. On the other hand the location is perfect! Easy to get to sandy beach which is one of the best among all the Cretan shores. In general the place is so homely so you will have no regrets if you are going to stay there!

Review 5：We stayed here for 6 nights. Our room was kept very clean (every day). The staff is really warm and friendly. But absolutely amazing is the food!! It´s really a great value for the money!

Review 6：Nothing wrong with the hotel except wifi, that doesn't work sometimes. Malia is crazy place. If you travel with kids or looking for quiet place, please think twice before you go there. Crazy British students riding rental quads all day and night long. Beach is not the best one. When waving the water is quite dirty - a lot of algae. Catamaran costs 30€ per hour, which is the most expensive price I have seen on Crete. I wouldn't come back to Malia with family unless I'm 20yo again :)

Review 7：Nice cosy place. There are no young crazy clubbers, this is nice place to stay with family and kids. Staff is very friendly, any issues are being solved in few minutes. Swimming pool is also very nice. Free parking. 300m walk to the beach. Dinners are beautiful, quality similar to average Tavern in the city for only 10€ per adult and 5€ per kid.

Review 8：It is wonderful place to stay, very close to one of the best beaches of Crete, about 2 min walk. Do not search for any place to eat, just enjoy delicious breakfast and super dinner in the evening. In the beginning of our holidays, we have tried to eat outside, in different tavern, because we did not know that the most tasty Cretan food was available every evening in our hotel. Extremely friendly stuff took our hearts forever, this place will be definitely choice for our future stay!

Review 10：nothing. The only problem which you can face there is a noise from the street bars and nearest hotels. But it can be solved by closing the window and using AC (which is included in the price).

Breakfast is in greek style and simply delicious, especially loukoumodes :) beautiful sandy Bech is really not far. Stuff is welcoming and friendly. My room was cleaned every day and quite carefully. I enjoyed staying there.

Review 13：Absolutely fantastic!!! We are used to five star hotels, and we are experienced and extremely demanding customers, but we have highly appreciated all that this excellent hotel offers. Although this hotel has no official star rating, its quality is good enough to compete with many five star hotels we have already stayed in. The room was spacious, tastefully designed, beautiful and absolutely clean. The terrace was large and comfortable. The personnel of the hotel were friendly and helpful. The owner of the hotel welcomed us personally and kept caring about our maximum comfort during all our stay. And the food - oh, what a dream treat!!! The breakfasts could not be better, and the dinners were better than excellent!!! The buffet dinners included varieties of roasted meat and seafood every evening, lots of top quality fruit and vegetables, delicious cheeses and lovely cakes, pancakes and icecream. Oh, what a dream!!! The hotel is located very close to the beach in a safe peaceful place out of reach of aggressive British thugs who otherwise ruin the town on quad-bikes. Truly, this was probably the very best seaside holiday we have ever visited. I must highly recommend it to all families, singles and couples who want to spend a top-level holiday by the sea.

Review 15：We had a great experience in this hotel. Mainly because of wonderful staff, Vicky, the receptionist who made as feel very welcomed and was very helpful regarding all questions we had. Real asset of the hotel. Overal, hotel was clean and breakfast was tasty. Not far from the beach (5minutes walking) which was also clean.

Review 16：Located in that part of Malia that is 100% touristic and dedicated to providing fast food! alcohol and not much else. Cannot imagine what it is like during the peak season.

I five or six times referred to the reception with a request to repair a shower cabin and the problem has not been solved. The hotel welcome cash, but not the card (do not know why). So noisy. Photo of the room and the bathroom is far from reality.

Review 20：Unusually quiet and family-friendly for a town famous for clubbing and night-life. Excellent buffet for breakfast and supper. Really friendly staff. Great to have a family room as two adjoining rooms in one suite rather than one room with 4 beds. Pool was lovely.

Review 22：We arrived at night, the security guard Mike was very friendly and welcoming. He helped us with our very heavy bags to our room, turned on our TV, air con, told us when we open the terrace doors the air con would switch itself off, etc. All the staff were all so friendly. The housekeepers were just amazing. Our room was cleaned every day, clean towels everyday. The breakfast was good English breakfast, the dinner which they made were lovely Greek food. All food were very fresh and made on the day. The beach is not too far away from the hotel, depending on how fast you walk, it takes less than 4 minute to get there. If return to Malia, I would definitely be staying here again without fail.

Review 44：Very clean room included all the common areas of the Hotel. Friendly forcouples & familys with young childrens and many things to do (minigolf table tennis, amazing pool). Staff always available to answer allyour questions, to provide you maps of the area and also to suggest youplaces to visit. Breakfast was really good! Next to the hotel is locatedthe big sandy Malia beach, very beautiful and worth a visit.
