Review 1：Cleanliness could have been better in the toilet/shower area. Soundproofing in the rooms was very bad. During the night there was much noise in the corridor so it can be difficult to get to sleep well.

Review 2：Location was good near the centre and next to Kalvin ter metro station and tram stop. Price was not bad for one night stay. Staff was friendly.

Review 3：Poor breakfast for 3 euros. Have had much better breakfasts in other hostels in same or less price! Room price almost double what it actually worth (according to Budapest).

Review 5：It was steeply priced considering the fact that we found another hostel for 20 euros less in the city center. You are near the great market hall and the freedom statue but thats pretty much it, whereas on the other one, we were steps away from all the other landmarks, pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants. The room was semi clean since the rugs dont seem to be vacuumed. They didnt have the room we booked on the website so they sent us to a 4 bed room without giving us any discount. We would think that paying more comes with the privacy to sleep which we were desperately looking for for that night.

Review 6：We were really impressed with how elegant the linens were and the fact that each room has a dining table with chairs in it. The staff let us leave our luggage for a couple of hours after we checked out and she was very friendly about it. There is a 24 hr shop a block away or so.

Review 8：It's small and sweet. There're even TVs in the rooms, with channels that show football. The media room is cool. It's on the first floor, just one floor. Wifi is good. Location is pretty good too. The Great Market, supermarkets and resturants are just steps away.

Review 11：WiFi was mediocre to poor, erratic quality, slowed down to a crawl many times and way too many dropped signals. Very poor connection from the dorm room. Complete all time-critical online tasks before arriving at this hostel. Kitchen needs a recycling program. Street noise interfered with good night’s sleep. Dorm room waste bins not emptied. Only one task bed light in our 4-bed room, so we had only the ceiling light to illuminate the entire room or total darkness.

Review 12：Very good in many respects — staff, facilities, showers, kitchen.

Review 13：The best plus is localization. 5 minuts by foot from the centre, pretty closely to big market, where you can buy traditional food, souvenirs, or to eat something. Good conditions for this money.

Review 26：VERY HOT BEDROOM.The weather was 27/30 degrees outside with no air con and just a standard floor fan, it was stiffeling hot at night! Bathrooms tended to get dirty by end of the day and around the shower room floors/toilet was a swimming pool.

Showers were powerful - +++ in my book! set up was very easy to access, positioned very close to the central market - great base for walking all over budapest from, close to late night shops and restaurants, but on a quiet street behind - so not disturbed by noise. Hostel provided a fan which made the room comfortable at night-time - a nice touch often not the case amongst other hostels I have visited recently! other guests were friendly.

Review 30：There's no air con in the dorms and it was so hot in the room it made it really hard to sleep in such heat.

Review 31：The staff were really friendly and helpful. It's not a big hostel so there's not many people and it's nice and quiet. There was no waiting to use any of the facilities. The location is great and next to major train, bus and tram stops.

Review 32：I made the reservation with the air conditioning included. When I arrived there was no air conditioning and I would need to pay 10 euros for it. The staff said she could do nothing and also her boss could do nothing. Even if it was an error in the booking, the hostel should honor its word and at least try to solve the problem. The hostel is good but I wouldn't come again.

As the toilet is within the bathroom, when anyone who do not close the curtain during bathing, the whole toilet will be flood. Very poor hygiene and dangerous

Review 38：Hello Budapest hostel is highly recommended for staying! I choose it because of the location near the Gellert hill. Also there some museums and nice cafes near it. The personal are very helpful and friendly. And I like the rooms with big beds and private cases. The shower was always clean and water was hot. I enjoyed my staying in this hostel very much.

Review 39：The walls were relatively thin. I only stayed one night and only was in bed for 2 hours so I'm not sure if it would keep you up but when i was getting ready at 10pm I could hear the conversation in the living room area, in my bedroom. Ear plugs would probably do the trick though. Overall really great hostel.

Review 40：Excellent kitchen. 24 hr reception, managed to wake up at 5:35am and get a train at 6:05am! Amazing! Great wifi and excellent location and great bathroom facilities.

Review 66：The location of the hostel is just perfect. The Central Market Hall is literally a couple of steps from the hostel, there are many tram stations near and a metro station a couple of minutes away. The rooms are clean, the staff is very nice and helpful.

Review 79：Hostel is situated on 2nd floor of the building. Under the hostel, on the 1st floor there is some industry working with gas balloons and come very much noises, especially early in the morning. Very bad windows in the rooms and come very much noises from the street traffic. Very bad sound isolation of rooms (walls and doors) and you hear even a little sound from the surrounding rooms, corridor and even reception. During our stay it was some building work in the hostel and we enjoyed drill and hammer noises. So, if you expect to sleep good and have a rest after a working day I wouldn't recommend you this hostel. Breakfast is very poor, you have even to buy a milk to your coffee yourself. Doesn't worth money you pay for it. Internet connection in the room was extremely bad.

The other teo were lovely and friendly and smiling all the time, but this one she was not happy at all and less helpful. Otherwise rooms are spotless, big, warm, comfortable. Showers are clean and with loads of hot water. Its most convenient, because i checked in at 5 in the morning with no problems. Its great place to stay amd i would stay everytime i go there. Review 92：They will no doubt come up with a better system of recording sales of every drink or snack you want to buy. For now, they must ask you to wait while they print out three copies of a receipt on a printer, and you must sign so it ties everyone up needlessly. It was not a problem for me, but once or twice I decided not to buy something because I knew they would have to go through the hassle and it wastes paper. Otherwise, no problems at all.

Review 93：I found the staff to be very accommodating when I wanted to change my reservation. They were always around, on standby to help guests, and spoke excellent English. The kitchen was well-supplied and roomy enough. There were only about 10 guests staying when I was there. They have some basic food items available to buy beyond the drinks machine in the lobby. The temperature was always just right and it always seemed like there was fresh air. This hostel is spotless! I was really taken aback by this - no place was dirty at all, so I felt comfortable in every way.

Review 94：The wifi is not great. It did not work on my devices despite being very close to the receiver. The staff is not particularly friendly, they aren't rude, just straight forward and not very chatty.

Review 95：This hostel was the cleanest and nicest I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spotless and the bathrooms are beautiful. Super clean showers, hot water, conveniently located. The kitchen had all necessary amenities and then some. I would recommend this to anyone.

Review 96：The wifi connection didn't work in our room. Besides, wifi was also poor at the corridor, so we had to go to the hall or use the computer which is also located at the hall (no charge for its use). However, the behaviour of the ill-mannered people who we guess that live there or visit the staff, was the most annoying issue of our stay at this hostel; they spoke loudly, yelled at each other at 7/8 in the morning and played loud music at that time as well. Just because the hostel is cheap and we were for a few days, we didn't say nothing, but the owner/s must not allow this way of acting.

Review 97：The location is fantastic, behind the central market, in 2 minutes you are in the city center.

Review 98：Difficult to find the place, no privacy when having shower. You have to pay 20eur of caution which is given back after your stay. One of the beds was already broken and the owner wanted us to pay but fortunately it didn't happen because the staff understood our situation.

Driving could be challenging on working days, though, I stayed Saturday night offseason, it was quiet inside and outside. Tesco express, market place and local transportation stop nearby. Review 106：Location is not as central as some other hostels, but transport in Budapest is fantastic, especially if you get a multi-day ticket. Its about 6 minutes walk to the metro stop. This stop is on the line to the airport bus which is convenient.

The staff is very helpful, wi-fi works without any problems, rooms and bathrooms were clean and the kitchen is well equipped. I really wouldn't mind staying there again. Hostel is also pretty close to the metro station Kalvín tér.

Review 118：Everything was perfect, except the location of males toilet. It was close to the reception. Also the second comment the room window can't be opened. Although there was a fan but airing in the room wasn't that good, but everything else made me ignore those 2 comments. The stuff are extremely helpful, location very close to the Duna river.

Review 130：The hostel was well located and close to the Metro and tram station. Very convienient when you come from Nepliget bus/train station. It was renovated so everything looked clean and new. Member of the staff were all really Nice and good advisers. I would definitely recommend that place!

Review 131：As the hostel is more or less in the first floor at the street next to the market hall, there is some noise in the morning between 6-8 h. In combination with warm weather, this leads basically to a early wake-up call to close the windows. This is not a fault of the hostel, but travelers which really need quietness to sleep are maybe not so comfortable with this. For the price and the location, this is a acceptable drawback. Would go there again.

Review 132：The location of the hostel near the markethall is quite central, to the Gellert bath/ mountain it is only across the bridge and the inner city of Pest lies directly across the street. So for the normal city tour a public transport ticket is not needed. The staff is very helpful and friendly and also sent a few recommendations in advance and helped with the ordering of the airport shuttle and so on. As everything is quite new, the shared showers are in good condition and clean. The washing machine was even so new that it had to be installed in this week. After the end of august 2014 everything should work fine.
