Reviews for Family Bungalow

Review 1:Staff weren't around much, but we hardly needed them to be honest. As we were a little way from the main area, it would have been nice to have bikes included in the booking, like other island bookings we had on Gili.

Review 2:Beautiful bungalows with lovely terrace to sat on. Bathrooms were amazing with open roof and huge shower area. Bed was unbelievably big and comfy with a mozzy net – which was needed. Had a laundry washed and it was reasonably priced.

Review 3:Would recommend to chose the bungalows with air con as it gets un bearable with just a fan

Review 4:Beautiful spacious cottage in quiet location. Really nice staff who spoke very good English. Really good value for money

Review 5:The variation of the breakfast. In Menu, they wrote Hot Lemon Tea, but actually it was not a lemon, just a lime.

Review 6:I like the comfort room, the cleanliness also the staffs were really helpful. When in the middle of the night I was hungry and ordered some food, the staff give us two portion of Jaffle and some fresh fruits. Overall, the bungalow is really recommended because its comfortable and good value for money, especially for local.

Review 7:you need to wear earplugs as the mosk calls for prayer very early in the morning.

Review 8:nice breakfast, calm area (except the prayer call of the mosk), nice garden with palm trees & Aci is a very nice guy! very nice bed!

Review 9:The fan didn't cool the room well for us but could be the heat of the season we stayed in. Overall it seems a bit hit and miss based on the other comments. There are some other amazing cheap options on the island I would look at first

Review 10:The room was simple and bed comfy.

Review 11:Breakfast was either not available or very basic- we just went elsewhere. Location is inland- you can get same price rooms on beachfront with amazing views.

Review 12:Despite no air con, rooms were comfortable just with plug in fan. We used it as a first base then moved on.

Review 13:Only cold water Bathroom is Sruffy Mosquitonet is to short. U can't close it and so it's useless. But u need it. Roosters are shouting from 6 - 11 am. Very noisy

Review 14:Nice staff Good breakfast

Review 15:The staff were extremely helpful, rooms great and outside bathroom perfect! We travelled with a 1 year old and the staff did so much to accommodate our little girl.

Review 16:The bungalows must havebeen nice one time but now they are quite run down. There is no aircondition and the bungalows are getting very hot. The hotelboy is very lazy, not really helpful and slow, also quite unfriendliy.

Review 17:Very basic, nice bungalow in a calm part of the island. The staff is very slow and not very practical but it blends in with the feeling of holiday on an island with a calmer pace. The room was very clean with a big bed and musquito netting, also the bathroom is of a very decent size. We enjoyed it here since you spend all day on the island.

Review 18:Nothing but bungalows (no pool, restaurant, bar, shop, info etc.) Breakfast poor and slow (takes 0,5-1h to make). No cleaning during stay. Power interruptions, no generator. Sound of many roasters in the morning. No paying by card.

Review 19:Bed and veranda and bungalow itself.

Review 20:There was only one staff who literally did everything, poor guy. We stayed for two nights and our room was not cleaned the next day. Floor was very greasy. Location was a bit off but you can rent a bike for €3 a day.

Review 21:Location is far from port and hard to find.

Review 22:The staff were amazing. They picked us up when we couldn't find the place. The bungalow is nice and sweet. Breakfast wasn't served unless you request it to the front desk and we didn't have time for that so I can't comment on the breakfast quality. Accidently left a cellphone there and the staff kept it, and delivered it to a friend of mine who happened to still be in gili at time. They were the nicest staff ever. Just a bit hard to find sometimes. definitely would recommend this place.

Review 23:The shower water is cold.

Review 24:The owners of the bungalow are very kind and helpful. On the first day we arrived, they cut some coconuts in the yard as welcoming gifts to us! The room are brand new.

Review 25:The wifi connectivity it was very slow

Review 26:The staff is very friendly, always cleaning everything, very comfortable, we spent 5 nights there And we were very happy.

Review 27:The noise around the place. There are many roosters making lots of noise and there is a mosque nearby. It is in the middle of the village. The worst thing was that a family member nearby played really loud music for a long time daily so you still had the impression the place was next to a loud bar. When i told the youngest brother that it was loud, he said he talked to his family about this but they didn't "hear" him. ;-)

Review 28:Nice familybusiness. Two brothers. They do not anticipate but when you ask them things they will help you. Nice bungalow, good bed, beautiful shower, everything pretty new. Great omelette for breakfast! Family restaurant was also good quality and not expensive.

Review 29:Because it isn't finished yet, there are some minor things like the lighting switches aren't correctly installed so when switching the main light, all electricity is switched down including power sockets, instead of only the light. Nevertheless, it's a good place to stay!

Review 30:Good location and very nice bathroom. It's still being finished but already a very nice place to stay. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and snorkeling area where you will see turtles! Good beds with mosquito nets so you can leave the doors open at night.

Review 31:Ninguna atención del personal, como abandonado. Demasiado calor... No hay limpieza. Desayuno horrible 0 attention from de staff... Almost always any staff in reception. Too much hot.. No cleaning service. The breakfast was impossible to eat

Review 32:Bit hard to find initially. The island could do with a good map showing the directions to ALL accomodation.

Review 33:Best kept gardens. Good breakfast. Mosquito net.

Review 34:- the staff is not very helpfull. - they haven't cleaned the room once in 6 days... they left us a broom in the patio just in case we wanted to clean it nor did they clean the bathroom!!! - they always seem not to feel like work, they are very lazy, and very slow... it always seemed that they were obliged to do everything... one morning we had to take the boat early and we went to the reception to have breakfast at 7,30 and there was nobody... eventhough on the menu it was written that breakfast was served from 7 am till 10,30... - the mosque is right behind so at 5 o'clock in the morning you hear it... - and after the prayers have finished the cocks (and believe me they are a lot) start their cock-crow... so you don't sleep very well, I mean if you go to bad early then it doesn't matter otherwise it's a problem...

Review 35:The bungalows are brand new and very well equipped, what I liked most was the bathroom because it's in classical indonesian style with half-open roof and very spacious and clean! it's not so far away as some people say.. it just takes 5-10 minutes to the harbour and the same time to reach scallywags beach! if you want to go to the west coast (for the sunset) then you have to walk maybe for 15 minutes... but you can rent bicycles for a very cheap price...

Review 36:1, Far away from both beach front and ferry. The hostel is not in the main road and not easy to find without anyone's help as well. 2, helpless staff and poor wifi service. 3, noisy because of the chicken during the nights and music in the day time.

Review 37:Cleanses of rooms

Review 38:Cold shower, rooster singing starting from 5 am!!!, wifi not working, quite absent staff!

Review 39:Clean rooms, room's dimension, design of the bungalow, brand new

Review 40:Bit of a walk to the restaurants and bars and good swimming area at south beach.. we didn't mind the walk but felt like a swim by the time we got back to bungalow as it was very hot! Maybe a little pricy

Review 41:Nice and quiet

Review 42:Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Dark path to main road, bring light with you.

Review 43:Room was really nice, large and clean. Bathroom was nice and large as well. Breakfast was good, and they start to serve it very early so you can have it even if you have to leave early.

Review 44:Location is a little hard to find (turn left from harbor, take street to your right heading inland, then right towards medical clinic, then look for a sign that points down small street/dirt road). Some sort of loud disco music was playing till 3am somewhere nearby. Other places have nicer grounds, amenities in probably a similar price point (pool for example). Wi-Fi was terrible but maybe on par for the island, it didn't work half the time and the other half was super slow. Staff definitely could have been friendlier. Nothing was so bad that I wouldn't recommend it but maybe look around a bit.

Review 45:We had one of their nicer rooms with A/C (although I think it wasn't necessary). Paid 650k rupiah for one night in August. Rooms were very clean, decently appointed. You can tell they try and make it nice (flowers on the bed, flashlight provided, etc.)

Review 46:Over priced for what it is, room had cockroaches. Staff absolutely no help and didn't seen to think there was a problem! Wifi also hardly ever worked.

Review 47:The air conditioning was not working properly. They can do better with the cleaning.

Review 48:The breakfast is really good. The workers aren,t really, ejem, proffesionals, but they are very nice people.

Review 49:it is located close to the mosque, so if you are a light sleeper, you will wake up at 5 in the morning (and earplugs won't work)

Review 50:the bungalow was spacious, brand new, tastefully decorated and very clean. the family who owns it is very friendly.

Review 51:Room was spacious ,friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast alternatives

Review 52:Fairly basic accommodation. Good for the price.

Review 53:Very cozy. The best breakfast i've had in Indonesia

Review 54:noise from Cockerels every morning, but that is a norm for Gili Air..

Review 55:Nothing.

Review 56:Great. Very clean and nice. Delicious breakfast. Defenetly would recomend this place.

Review 57:- Location was a bit off the main street

Review 58:- Comfortable mattress - Good mosquito net - Very clean

Review 59:Good clean rooms, friendly staff, value for money

Review 60:WiFi doesn't work at night, slow and only normso reception on the dining room.

Review 61:Very very clean and familiar, always try to solve any question or problem that you have, renting bikes, island map, recommended places...,new bungalows and fantastic decoration, fresh water, that's important taking to account almost there isn't any place.Very important....no ants,no spiders at all!!!fantastic place. It takes 10 min walk from the harbour and the restaurants but closer riding a bike.

Review 62:On the downside the hotel was located next to the houses of some family's who owned chickens and the chickens could be quite noisy sometimes during the day.

Review 63:This is a new hotel(only 2 years old) so the bungalows are modern, beautifully decorated and in a nice condition! We lived in a bungalow with AC and mosquito net and it worked perfectly. The room kept cool and you didn't have to worry about the mosquitos during night time! The staff is very friendly and helpful and they take good care of their visitors. Overall the hotel was in a much better condition then I thought it would be and it is located 5min from the beach and the good restaurants on the Island. Worth the money and a good option while staying in Gili Air!
