Review 1：The only thing I would say is beware what room you are booking. We thought we had booked the treehouse style room but when we arrived it was a very bog standard room (not like the picture at all). Apparently they are the same price. The staff were lovely and changed us over the next night but it was quiet enough to do that. In the busier season it may not be so possible.
Review 2：I thought the treehouse property was fantastic! So fun and unusual. Right on the sea front and friendly staff.
Review 3：Way overpriced. We got the sea view villa, their most expensive option. I don't recommend it. The view also includes big power lines and the restaurant, and the top deck isn't really nice to hang out on anyway. No effort into interior design throughout. The bathroom would have been nice when it was new, or if it was maintained - now it just feels dirty and is stained all over. The room is bright even with curtains closed until 11pm. Horrible breakfast, we ate elsewhere after the first day. Lots of small things that wouldn't bother me so much of it was half the price.
Review 4：Good location. Air conditioning works well. Ask for one of the 3 villas overlooking the pool. Big bed in the sea view villa.

Review 8：We have been at the hotel already last year and had a standard bungalowat the pool, just as the describtion said. We were very happy with theresort and wanted to come back this year. Unfortunately, due to the newmanagement the hotel lost its charme and it seems like they just focuson mass tourism now. First of all, they couldnt find our booking,although I did email with them before we arrived, and although we hadreserved a standard bungalow again, we were accomodated in an area inthe back of the resort that seemed very much improvisational, just toaccomodate more people and didnt fit the hotel description. We didntlike the "bungalow" at all, but they just said, either youtake it or you are welcome to cancel! Customer is king! The pool areaisnt as charming anymore with all the grey and cheap sun chairs, lastyear the area was much more colourful. The same goes for the sunterrace. Last year they had lots of fatboys, this year they put lots ofsun chairs which are not adjustable and thus, not very comfortable. At 5pm the guests have to leave this area, because they use it for thebarbecue at night, again not very customer oriented!! This year theychanged the breakfast to a buffet. The food is good, but we liked lastyears style much more as it did include a fresh fruite juice.
Review 9：The hotel is nicely arranged and perfectly located in the middle if themain street of Gili Air with lots of restaurants around, perfectsnorkeling area infront of the hotel, sun terrace directly at thebeach, good breakfast, free pool towels, they collect old books andmagazines that were left by guests at the reception area so otherguests can read them.
Review 10：Do not get a fan room! We had to move after 1 night as the heat wasunbearable and couldn't get a wink of sleep! Also the trap door upto the bedroom is a bit tricky in the night when you have to get down tothe bathroom in the night! The pool was being used by people learning todive. You can get much better quality accomodation on the island withAir Con for cheaper! Try Unzipp bungalows a bit further down. We lovedGili Air though!
Review 11：Le Cirque restaurant is great for an evening meal would really recommendgetting the steak from the bbq and a cake from the patisserie! Thelocation is good and pool ok!

Review 20：Standard rooms don't have aircon causing sweaty nights. Bamboo bungalows don't have quite good sound isolation, which wasn't big problem for us but can be for light sleepers, especially during full moon festival sounds coming from nearby restaurants.
Review 21：Location is one of the best on the island. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Coral reef right off the beach with lot of marine life. Currents quite strong. Enjoyed the breakfast near the beach and friendly staff making banana pancakes.

Review 26：Standartroom is dark and the doors actually stay open even if they were closed. Bathroomdesign totally useless everytime you go to Toilette you need to step through the shower, so you got wet feet all the time. If your're planing to make a reservation for a fastboot at the Reception do it in your own directly at the Harbor. Otherwise you will not be on the boot you planned. We had to wait with full packed bagpacks for 4h according to this misstake. Breakfast is a mixture of Continental and Indonesien Food.

Review 32：The room (standard room) wasn't very nice. The walls were dirty, it had a pokey feel that it, there were gaps in the doors, and the walls are paper thin. It wasn't that the room hadn't been cleaned as it had, but it felt rundown and didn't match the rest of the resort.

Review 34：We found big orange, brown and yellow stains on towels, pillow cases and sheets. We asked to change them and they did it, but for towels they said they had no one without stains!! We wrote to booking and, as a refund, they proposed a discount on the next period in their hotel... You can imagine how often I come back to Gili from Italy. About breakfast, once we asked for a Banana instead of the proposed fruit salad, and they said they were finished.. never imagined they could finish bananas anywhere in Indonesia.. Conclusion: We required the service we should receive for the money they ask for, but we couldn't get it.

Review 41：Fantastic people! Warm, friendly, attentive and in a location that makes you need to keep pinching yourself. Snorkelling off the beach followed by a lovely meal and a banana shake. Then retreat to your bungalow and soak up the afternoon in dappled shade lying in a hammock with a good book. What more could you ask for on a week long holiday.
Review 42：The restaurant was a little bit expensive comparing to the other restaurants on the island. Youll find better food and drinks with less money just around the corner.
Review 43：Great location and helpful staff. You can see a beautiful sunrise right from the restaurant or the sundeck. Everything you needed was right there.

Service at breakfast was slow, they messed up the orders ALL the time & you always had to wait ages for your order to be processed or to get your bill (sometimes asking 5 times would get the job done). Review 48：-We waited in restaurant a number of times, with no staff coming up to us. -We didnt like the layout of the room with room at top and toilet downstairs, it made it annoying if you forgot something upstairs or had to go down to the toilet etc. -Wifi didnt work in rooms property so had to go down to central area to have it work -We had a number of stays on gili air and bali but felt this property was a miss on a number of service and food aspects. -The bathrooms were very dirty and outdated they definitely need an upgrade, with in ground mould, parts broken off and need of repair etc. Fresh water compared to salt would be great, like some other places we stayed on gili at prior times. -We requested a pull out bed in our room before arrival, on arriving it was not in room, instead (without any staff offering assistance) we had to haul the day bed downstairs up to use and make it up ourselves.
Review 49：The mojitos were the best we had during our stay in bali! Location is really good and views from deck/restaurant area very nice. Our daughter was sick for 1 day here and they called a doctor very quickly and staff very helpful for that
Review 50：No fresh water showers. We booked for the suites however there was a double booking so the first 2 nights we had to stay in the deluxe. There is a booking system flaw here. Limited breakfast options. Its ok for short stays. But for long stays, the salt water showers and limited breakfast options may be a problem.
Review 51：The suite room. Location. The management. They helped us decorated our room for our son's 2nd birthday with balloons and streamers. If we were staying at the suite room throughout the stay, we would have rated everything excellent. Overall, great resort, definitely will choose this resort if we were to visit Gili Air again.

Review 57：The Sunrise Resort was the perfect place for a four-night stay on Gili Air. Great location as it was just a 10-minute walk from the ferry drop-off so not right in the hustle and bustle but close enough to lots of great restaurants and beaches. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel's restaurant is gorgeous. Good food and you can't find a better setting for a meal. The pool is great and the rooms are very comfortable. Lots of cute cats hanging around the hotel as well. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever lucky enough to return to Gili Air.
Review 58：- The wifi signal was to weak in the room to connect - The service was pretty poor (you have to ask several time whenever you want something...) - The shower is salty (but it is everywhere the same on the island...) and clean water is not provided .... but overall it was a really nice place to stay

The shower at the swimming pool was warmer than our natural one. There were huge spiders in the bathroom. The breakfast was poor. Staff was extremely slow. It took over 30min to serve coffee only. They were not fremdly at all. I would not recommend this place.

The breakfast choice is pretty basic and the food at the hotel restaurant is not amazing - deserts were good. There are plenty cheap places to eat on the island however.
Review 70：The hotel is pretty much on the beach and well situated on the island. The bed was large and comfy and the room had air con and a hammock. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is nice too.
Review 71：Wifi was temperamental, could not cope well at all. Orders were forgotten at breakfast a lot. Had to constantly remind about missing plates or cutlery. The security system is poor. Has a trap door which locks with a padlock. No lock for the actual door. If someone really wanted to it would be easy o climb onto the balcony and break in. Some pool staff were leery, which is very uncomfortable when sunbathing.

Review 78：We stayed in a Suite which I would say is worth the extra money as it is more like a chalet, with big lovely bathroom, and rooftop terrace with hammocks. Loved chilling in the hammocks in the evenings under the starry sky; the pool is also lovely like a hidden lake amongst the trees and flowers. We loved being able to snorkel from the beach right in front of the resort, and that there were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby to choose from. The staff were all very friendly and make an effort to get to know your name.
Review 79：The food was very simple, would recommend to go outside for lunch/dinner. Salty and cold shower wasn't very refreshing after the hot day on the beach. No aircon in the room, only fan. Not very comfortable to go downstairs to the bathroom at night.
Review 80：The location of the resort is perfect - close to the beach, next to the snorkeling point, sunbeds facing a stunning Lombok island view with Mt Rinjani, 15 minutes by foot from jetty and even closer to bars/restaurants. We stayed in a standard double room, i.e. 2 storeys authentic bungalow with a garden view which was amazing from chilling in a hammock.

Review 82：One of the few hotels with bungalows right on the beach. We stayed in one of the three 2 storey facing the beach and it was totally worth it. Spent every night and afternoon hanging out on the top patio playing games and hanging out. Kids loved the hammocks and couches and parents loved to hang out up there and relax as well. Very helpful with transportation from Praya to Gili Air. I was concerned about that movement and they took good care of setting it up and explaining it. Very responsive on email, which was critical for me. Gili Air itself is fantastic and great for families.
Review 83：the beds were quite hard & pillows were quite dirty under the cases, mildew type staining & only one per person. The rooms were very small & not at all sound proofed from outside sounds ie: parties, roosters etc. the bathroom was also very average and the toilet was very temperamental

Review 85：Even though the bungalow was nice and exotic, I must admit that it had some downsides to it. I could hear our neighbors well and had to be cautious about it the whole time. Plus the wooden bathroom door downstairs made loud noise when using, I felt bad for using it in the middle of the night.

Review 87：I would suggest bringing lots of mosquito repellent (even your own coils) if you're in one of the non-air con rooms. All have mosquito nets - but they found a way to get me. Doesn't detract from positive experience - just worth being prepared.
Review 88：We had a brilliant stay at Sunrise on the beautiful Gili Air. If you're looking for a place that can either offer you well-priced accomodation or a bit of luxury - it's Sunrise. Lovely pool for swimming or practicing scuba, very helpful staff who organised our transfer and a lovely restaurant on the beach. The welcome note makes a point of telling you that all staff are local and some still learning - but you wouldn't notice. They're all helpful and eager. Great place. Would love to come back.

Review 92：We had one of those beach accomodation with the roof terrace which was stunning! An amazing open bathroom built we stones. We had pleasant evening on the roof terrace which includes sofa beds, hammocks... Love swimming with turtles in front of the hotel!

Review 102：Location, staff, facilities. It was with great pleasure we lucked upon such a great resort in such a great position. We booked for 7 & stayed for 9 & would have stayed longer but our friends had to fly home.
Review 103：We stayed in two styles of accomodation and both were great. The 2 storey bamboo bungalows were authentic, spacious, clean & well priced and overlook the pool. We lived it up in the 2 storey front executive suites for a couple of nights. Super luxurious bedroom, air con, stone bath, massive balcony with sunrise views over the beach, superb! Rooms cleaned every day, staff great. Location is perfectly placed to reach restaurants, bars & the harbour. The pool is simply amazing, set amongst native trees. We will recommend this place to friends and we will stay here again.

No need for a fancy room, since you are not so much there anyway (we had thr front bungalows with terrace and it was very pleasent) Very nice and friendly manager coming from Scotand, open for feedback and was very helpful yo solve small issues coming up with. safety box, etc Probably the best place on the Island if you would like to be close to the resturants and bars on the south tipf
Review 108：The staff can be a bit lackadaisical and after settling my bill with cash, I had to ask for a receipt, which was then given without specifications. The rooms have no bedsite lights, just in case you like to read in bed. The shower-heads should be updated. Both these remarks are more for the hotel management but shouldn't stop you going there.
Review 109：The Sunrise Resort is a lovely place to stay on Gili Air, as it is set in beautiful gardens, has a nice pool, seating areas and a great cafe/restaurant on the beach right in front of the resort. The food and juices are really good and the service is alright at most times, and very good at some. The bedroom was beautiful, simple design but great, and so was the semi-outside shower. There are many different kinds of accommodations to choose from and it's not really clear from the booking site what it is you'll be getting (we shared a walled garden with a family accommodation, which was a bit odd) but they have hammocks everywhere and other places to sit. Value for money might not be their best asset as you can get (we were told by other tourists) similar places for less. I would return to Sunrise gladly, though.
Review 110：the showers were salt water so no matter what you do you will always feel like you just came out of the ocean. This really bothered me.

Review 122：Maybe the cleanness of the rooms, but common, we are on a tranquil island so somehow it fitted :D.
Review 123：Really liked the location, staff and the environment. It's relaxing atmosphere having the Bungalow in the middle of greens and very close to the beach. We had a great time there, and I'd def. go again.
Review 124：Expected more from the facility. Breakfast is served in the bar in front called: Le Cirque. Beautiful place but Staff could not care less. Not friendly and just don't care. This is strange as Indonesian people are lovely.

Review 128：We initially got the "ocean view" suite in the second row. The sunset can not really be seen from there so it wasn't worth the money. After we complained we could move to the first row for the last days. The breakfast variety was poor and the staff very unfriendly.
Review 129：Location was close to many bars and restaurants and not far from the harbour. The suites are very spacious and ours was clean. There are hammocks and a huge "lounge" area on the balcony, nice for relaxing. Had dinner in the Cirque Restaurant which was excellent (not comparable to the breakfast!)
Review 130：You can't beat the location on the island. Surrounded my loads of great restaurants, 5 mins walk from where the boats pull up, the best snorkelling right out the front! The staff were very nice a little laid back, but thats the island life. The breakfast was nice, few options available, from eggs on toast to crapes, juices, coffee and tea.The bungalows were great and the pool is nice. Great value for money staying here!
Review 131：the double room was quite basic and similar to a beach hut which made it hard to feel like we had privacy.
Review 132：we enjoyed being close to some of the better resturants on gili air as well as going diving through gili dive who are located at sunrise.
Review 133：We had a normal room but it doesn't value money at all. No privacy. We should spent three days but we spent only one day and then we found another place neirby for the same price and much better services.

Review 135：Restaurant and breakfast are not too good. the lack of professionalism of the staff. the toilet was open...no ceiling.
Review 136：Location is really good. you can snorkel with turtles right in front of the hotel. Rooms are small houses, and some facing the sea. the staff try to do their best and they are very kind, but not very professional. everything was clean. the bathtub carved in a rock was great.
Review 137：Staff at restaurant were slow and inattentive even though food was great, delicious and well priced, ground staff and room attendants were fantastic and always smiling.
Review 138：Location was fantastic, a TV in our room would have been great because we had kids and didn't go out late at night but all in all we had a brilliant time and will return
Review 139：I stayed with my friend in an ocean view apartment, and it was a really wonderful experience. The villas are beautifully considered and full of island character. Downstairs sleeping quarters are air-conditioned, the bathroom is exquisite in design and private but open-roofed, and the upstairs lounge is perfect for a relaxed evening watching the moon rise. Staff were lovely and the location is excellent. Our stay here was wonderful - terima kasih!!
