Review 1：Alex and his family are caring and helpful. They make you feel welcome from the very beginning until the end. They took care of me like family during my trip including but not limited to driving me to and from the port where my Ferry was. The view of the port from the pool is awesome and very relaxing. The breakfast is delicious and the place was very clean. Thank you!!!

Review 2：We just love Ios, everything there is beautiful. The hotel is perfect:the room are very cleaner , every day, we had a cleaner service, thebreakfast was good enough with a nice view, also we had a suprise, whenwe left the ferry, someone was waiting for us. We didn't know aboutthe transfer it's same when we came back for the port. The owner isa nice guy , so friendly . He explained all question for us and gavemany suggestions about the island . All staff are very nice too.

Review 3：We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at both the hotel and the island. The rooms are quite, comfortable and clean with lovely views of the sea and located right in the middle, between the Chora and the port/Gialos. A 10 min walk to both locations, with a bus stop right outside to reach both destinations as well as a number of more distant ones. Alexander and his family are brilliant hosts, cheerful and helpful yet discreet, know the island inside-out and will accomodate your needs with a smile. Also very much enjoyed the pool, for an early morning or late evening dip. I could not recomend it enough, eventually became one of the reasons I will return to the island asap.

Alex and his daughter Sofia came to pick us up from the Ferry and made everything to make our stay as nice as possible: nice breakfast, excellent advices to go around the island, facilitated the car rental, etc. Location is perfect between the town and the port: close to everything, but silent with a nice view. Thanks again to the whole family for making our stay so wonderful!

Review 10：Although the distance to downtown was 10-15 minutes, it was all uphill so it was tiring the warm hours of the day.

Review 16：- On the Booking site the hotel was advertised with a reduction of 59%; In fact it was the official rate for this period without reduction. - The small but nice swimming pool had only sunbeds in full sun for most part of the day. It would better if more shadow was possible. - it was nessecary to take a bus to and from Yialos beach or Chora. To Yialos beach you had to walk along a busy road. To Chora is a steep and far climb.

Review 18：The staff at the Golden Sun could not do enough for us. They made it feel like nothing was too much trouble. Picked us up and dropped us back off at the port. The pool was lovely with views over the sea. Snack bar served lovely breakfasts and dinners and the bar was good value for money. Rooms were simple but clean and sheets and towels were changed every day. The hotel is in an ideal location with a bus stop located just outside the hotel gate. It is in the perfect place for people wanting to stay a little further away from the crazy nightlife of Ios but it is in good walking distance to the pretty port. Would stay here again.

Review 19：It wasn't the hotels fault but the wifi being shared by all the hotels meant that the connection was really poor and hardly worked during prime time hours of the day. If you went online at around 6am it was perfect but that's no big deal because you should be out exploring anyway

Review 20：I tell you... We got off the ferry and Alex was already there to pick us up. He told us about the island and recommended so many great places to see which made the trip better. The service at the hotel was phenomal. Anything we needed was received in a timely fashion. Alex really knew everything really well and helped us enjoy our stay even more than Ios had to offer

Review 33：Breakfast is only served from 8:30 to 10:30-11, which is completely fine, however, if you are into the party scene and wake up in the afternoon often, it would be better not to book the breakfast into the booking (as you will miss the breakfast and end up wasting money). You can still buy the breakfast there separately (or lunch) - very cheap and nice. Just a heads up!

Review 34：Staff were wonderful, you could ask for anything and they would help you (from some medical pills if you were feeling sick to a hairdryer). Transportation on island was great, a bus stop directly (and I mean directly) outside the hotel that could take you to the village or numerous beaches. The walk up to the village was a bit of a hike (15 min), but perfectly fine to do, especially at night when it cooled down. Pool was beautiful, with a view of the ocean. Cleaner came in every day, with new towels and wiped the floor of sand.
