Reviews for Olive Tree Cottages
Review 1:There's nothing to dislike
Review 2:Quiet and peaceful. Delightfully looked after by the staff. View of the little chapel. Glorious afternoon sun on the balcony. Easy access to wonderful beaches.
Review 3:Odd owners. Better don't go there if you have kids. You'll be told to keep them quiet, as this is the reason way people choose this place apparently - indeed it is dead quiet there, except for the sound from the wooden floor tiles. We arrived with a 11 month year old baby by they way, that usually doesn't cry much anyways. By the owners' judgment therefore a good kid...
Review 4:The hostess was nosey and intimidating. Walls where to thin and cottages to close to each other for privacy. A/C did'nt function. We where asked very explicit and directly to move from our cottage to another, due to suddenly occurred new reservation, without compensation.
Review 5:Idyllic setting, clean rooms, close to the beach.
Review 6:This beautiful place with charming cottages surrounding a wonderful garden is perfect for people looking for peace and beauty. The costal little road leading to the village is a fascinating walk day and night. The owners happily share the fruit and bring you little gifts.
Review 7:The cottage we stayed in had the bathroom downstairs but I understand others had the bathrooms upstairs.
Review 8:The Cottages are located half way between the best beach and the town so very for both. The gardens are delightful and although small the cottages are designed so everyone has their own private space. Both the owners and the cleaner who cleans most days are very freindly and helpful. The cottages are a charming place to stay.
Review 9:Giorgina was very helpful giving us advise on where to go and we really enjoyed her delicious biscuits. Close to a beautiful quite beach. Only 10 mins walk to the center with all the bars and restaurants.
Review 10:Small bathroom No toaster Olive tree in garden of cottage No.3 made inside of cottage gloomy (but probably an asset in very hot weather)
Review 11:Friendly hosts Pretty gardens around cottages Quiet Clean and well maintained
Review 12:Very beautiful and unique. Perfect location for sea and shade.
Review 13:Very quiet and beautiful place. The cottage was spacious. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Review 14:The mosquitoes - perhaps more anti-mosi netting on the rear windows might help? Not a big thing, but an irritant (quite literally).
Review 15:Superbly situated just outside the village, in their own secluded gardens, the cottages are managed directly by the owners, who live on site, and who are generous, thoughtful and immediately responsive to any of their guests' needs. Small touches like their own organic olive oil and wine as a gift when you arrive, lemons from the garden, and home-baked bread as spontaneous presents, make you feel very special (and they're all delicious, too). If you're looking for somewhere quiet, unpretentious and extremely restful, then Olive Tree Cottages could well be the ideal solution.
Review 16:1- Far from paleochora city center - need car to get there 2- Sea view is not as per expectation - olive trees are so high that the view should be described as garden view - means additional feee for sea view is not justified 3- no water pressure in shower - big issue when coming back from the beach... 4- overall too pricy compared to other places in the area/island
Review 17:Nice cottage Service ok
Review 18:Not good value for money. It was advertised as a 2 person apartment butit was the most expensive place we stayed at in Crete and more suitablefor 3 people. We did not need 2 bathrooms. The bedroom was good but wedid not use the rather drab separate living area.
Review 19:Lovely quiet and peaceful location, close to a pebbly beach but it is a20 minute walk into town. We loved the vine covered balcony - delightfulviews overlooking a gorge and the sea. Very pretty gardens. Friendly andchatty owner. Delightful place but some reservations.
Review 20:Very nice and friendly. Very quiet Appartements behind lovely olivetrees and in a garden of flowers. Just 1 mile from paleochora Town and100 Meters from the Beach. Phantastic and highly recommended!
Review 21:I didn't sleep very well, but I'm not sure I can blame the cottage!
Review 22:The owners were very hospitable. The rustic cottages are very peaceful, but only a 2 minute drive/15 minute walk into Paleohora. They are a 2 minute walk from a beautiful, quiet pebbly beach. Our cottage had a terrace downstairs complete with an olive tree, and a balcony upstairs, overlooking an olive grove and the sea beyond. A good quiet place to explore the area. We liked being there so much we extended out stay.
Review 23:Long un lit walk back from town, 1.5km
Review 24:Proximity to the sea, quiet, relaxing. Friendly hosts. Views, Patio and balcony areas.
Review 25:Beautiful, quiet location with kind and friendly owners. Close to Paleochora and Gialiskari Beach.
Review 26:Fantastic location, close to nature, in the shade of olive trees, with view of the see, and only noise of the Cigalus, recommend without doubt!
Review 27:Very friendly owners, peaceful location, lovely setting.
