Review 20:Stay here. Mel and Denis are wonderful hosts; warm, friendly, inviting and accommodating. I've stayed with them three times and I'm looking forward to another two bookings already made. Their home is in an ideal, picturesque and quiet position but minutes from services. The room has everything one needs for business or pleasure; clean, comfortable bed, flat-screen TV, electric blanket, hot shower with toiletries, heating, free wifi, beverage-making facilities, etc... Mel's full Irish breakfast is beautiful, hot and filling with lovely coffee too. Teas, cereals and breads with preserves are also available and will ensure an energetic start to your day.

Review 21:What a great B&B. the hosts were very friendly and accommodating! The room was clean. The shower was hot. The breakfast was delicious and filling! Highly recommended.

Review 22:Was quite difficult to find, but this was due mainly to the terrible weather and phone running out of power.

Review 23:Mel the hostess was very welcoming. This was short notice booking as I was only in Ireland for 24 hrs to conduct family business. Room was comfortable and clean. Arrived very late and departed very early, so missed breakfast.

Review 24:Slight issue with slow draining shower

Review 25:The location to Bunratty castle and the airport couldn't have been better. The grounds we're well kept, and house was warm, clean, and inviting. One of our favorites .

Review 26:I have been staying at Innisfree for several years now. I "discovered" it when I first visited Ireland two years ago and now that I've set up long term residence further north in Connemara it has become my B&B of choice when family and friends come to visit me and fly into shannon. I've also found it to ideally located for forays into other regions when we tour. It's well situated to go west to the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, or south to Kerry, Tipperary and Cork. MOre importantly, I can always count on a comfortable stay ... a great sleep, a great breakfast and a better than great dose of Irish hospitality.

Review 27:This has nothing to do with the property or the host, but more the roads in Ireland. If you don't have GPS, it can be difficult to find as there are no street signs or house numbers.

Review 28:Mel is a fabulous host. She is welcoming and very attentive to your needs. From check-in, through breakfast and departure, she made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of.

Review 29:I was made to feel very welcome and really appreciated the personal touch. Mel was willing to assist me with transportation since I didn't have my own car. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I slept very well. Breakfast preferences were also accommodated. Although the B&B is located outside the town, I had been informed of this fact ahead of time so was expecting it. The walk from Bunratty was actually quite nice, with little road traffic and lovely country views.

Review 30:The shower could use a lot more pressure.

Review 31:This home is wonderful--from the location, beauty and great host! Mel was so helpful in taking my recyclables as I cleaned out the rental car and sorted my cases. During my terrific breakfast, Mel was double checking that I found the mattress comfortable, as she'd just got new ones and wanted her guests to be happy with the choice she'd made. There was a huge modern shower, with beautiful tile work, in the large bathroom.

Review 32:We found no negatives.

Review 33:The advice by email even before we left home! The welcome by the little 3-legged dog and his master. The dog was trained not to enter the dining room while guests were eating!

Review 34:A warm and welcoming hostess who made me a cup of tea on arrival and enough scones to feed an army - couldn't finish them. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Would highly recommend Bunratty Inishfree B&B to anyone and will stay again when travelling back to Ireland from UK, so convenient for Shannon Airport. Delicious, filling breakfast too with many options and choices :-)

Review 83:First time in ireland. Mel was helpful with suggestions and even went out of her way to drive me to the bus stop

Review 84:Great location, close to Shannon and to Bunratty tourist facilities. Friendly and obliging owner. Single room rate very good value.

Review 85:What a wonderful place to stay! Our hostess was very kind, welcoming, and friendly. She answered all our questions and helped us to find out if our flight was delayed due to the air traffic strike in France. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and she kept asking if we wanted more. Perfect location as well - right down the street from the castle. We will stay here the next time we go back to Ireland.

Review 86:Mel is a great hostess. We were sorry we had to leave so early in the am to catch our flight meaning we couldn't have our breakfast in her beautiful room to with a fantastic view. Bless her heart, she had a sack breakfast outside our door when we were leaving the next morning. In the early evening we were so happy to be sitting outside with our glass of wine loving the wonderful view.

Review 87:Got a bit cold as heat was not turned on. However, they did turn it on when we requested it.

Review 88:Liked that they offered some different options than traditional Irish breakfast fare - like pancakes and scones Location very convenient to the castle and restaurants. Very friendly hostess

Review 89:This b&b is closer to the Shannon airport than most carparks are in major cities. The location couldn't be better! Mel is the perfect hostess, when I arrived she cranked the electric blanket on the bed (which was SO comfortable!), pulled the blinds and allowed me to sleep the entire afternoon of my arrival so I could avoid jetlag. I woke up refreshed and less than 5 hours in Ireland I walked down the road to see my first castle and have my first pint. Innisfree is the perfect place to begin/end your Irish adventure!

Review 90:We didn't like leaving. If we are lucky enough to return to Ireland, the Bunratty Innisfree will be at the top of our accommodations list.

Review 91:The Innisfree was very comfortable and had the best bed in our two weekIrish vacation. Mel welcomed us mid afternoon with tour of the grounds, dinner suggestions, and asking about our breakfast needs. The bonus tothat great meal was a view of the sunrise from the breakfast nook. Lastbut not least, Mel helped navigate a busy travel day, including returnthe rental car, bus to Limerick & train to Dublin. This was all onreduced Sunday service.

Review 92:Waiting for the hot water to make it down the pipes. Knowing I had to drive back from the castle banquet after learning drinks were unlimited.

Review 93:Host went above and beyond to assist us with advice about local attractions and made local telephone calls on our behalf.

Review 94:My breakfast plate looked like it was prepared for a masterchef competition - delicious as well as beautiful! My kind host offered to give me a lift twice. It was an excellent b&b experience.

Review 95:Bunratty is too commercialized. The dinner at the castle was not even fun. Would never do that again.

Review 96:The location was right down the road from Bunratty Castle, shops and Durty Nelly's pub.

Review 97:Everything! From the quiet, beautiful countryside suroundings to the great cooked breakfasts and friendly informative staff - a brilliant 2 nights stay! Thank you Mel! Top of the morning to you, to be sure!

Review 102:We liked : A: The location. B : The breakfast. C : The welcome refreshments.

Review 103:It's a challenging walk to the "village" and castle sincethe roads are narrow and winding.

Review 104:Our first, but not last, trip to Ireland began with a warm welcome fromMel and Denis in Bunratty, just minutes from the Shannon Airport. Melwas most accommodating and gracious. Her home is immaculate and herbreakfasts delicious. When our multi-hour delayed flight from jfkimposed an unexpected delay in our arrival, she was genuinelyconcerned, as she had generously agreed to open her home to us early inthe morning. She goes out of her way to assist you, making reservationsfor dinner or offering advice on best travel options based oninterests, weather and time frames. Innisfree was a great introductionto the wonderful Irish warmth and genuine friendliness of thisbeautiful country

Review 105:Nothing:)

Review 106:Mel (owner) is great, funny and welcoming and a bundle of energy! Thefood is wonderful, the setting beautiful. Bunratty Castle is a fewminutes walk away. There are traditional Irish music Sessions in DurtyNellies (piano bar) and The Oakwood Lodge, near by. Loved this b+b!
