Reviews for Boutique Hotel Budapest

Review 1:Rooms could be a little bigger. Breakfast was decent but nothing special.

Review 2:Very modern rooms, nice decoration. Very friendly stuff. Breakfast had long hours which is always good! Convinet location, close to trasportation but walking distance to most Pest sights as well.

Review 3:Excellent friendly helpful staff. Location perfect for everything in central Budapest. Hotel rooms very comfortable and clean. Felt very happy with thus hotel and would most certainly stay here again.

Review 4:The walls are thin, so you hear everything in the next room. Small rooms, parking is small and expensive, the bed wqs not very comfortable

Review 5:Clean, modern, well situated, nice staff, rich breakfast.

Review 6:It was a little bit to hot in room, windows had to stay open most of the time. Except from that everything was really good :)

Review 7:Perfect location, nice, cosy and clean room. Good breakfast and very friendly personnel. Definietly recommend!

Review 8:The room is slightly small. I was a single occupant so not too bad for one. Very thin walls and very very hot unable to control the heat.

Review 9:Location is great. Minute walk to the river and so close the the big food market. So close to all shops and restaurants. Staff very friendly.

Review 10:Wery noisy rooms. Unless you are not accomodated on 7th floor you hear all what is happening above. Also walls are very thin. Comfort of sleeping is 2stars from 10.

Review 11:Location, breakfast, staff

Review 12:The walls are like paper and you can hear everything that next door speak about, there is also lots of banging in the morning which is very off putting.

Review 13:Nice and comfortable rooms, the hotel was really clean and tidy.

Review 14:Okay twist my arm the rooms are not big and instead of clever designer furniture a chest of drawers would have been more handy. But for 3 nights it was brilliant.

Review 15:Good hotel no complaints. They tried hard and it showed in everything. Plenty to choose from at breakfast. All staff 1st class.

Review 16:The key didn't work on our first room so we were given another on the front of the hotel. This was very noisey due to building work or refuse collection starting a 5pm, so the following night we moved to a quieter room inside.

Review 17:Very good location, lovely helpful staff, we had a very good deal, so great value. However we had booked the more expensive executive room and apparently all the rooms were that category so perhaps could have booked the cheaper room and got the same.

Review 18:Rooms are quite small and very noisy. Whether or not you will get a good night sleep will largely depend on your neighbors and people in the hall as you can hear every sound they make. Also make sure to ask for a non-smoking room!

Review 19:Because of paper walls you could hear every noise from neighbours, rooms are really narrow. Blanket was so small, even not enough for a child.

Review 20:Location is excellent, kind Stuff

Review 21:❗️That is not a 4 Stars Hotel ❗️ It look like... Poor Acoustic Bad bed mattress Small blanquette (1 each) Small room Quality of equipment Breakfast is more like a 2/3 stars hotel

Review 22:Location and price

Review 23:No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 24:I had a great stay in this hotel. The location was great close to many attractions and easy to get to the train station using the metro. My room was very clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. I ate at the hotel restaurant food was lovely and was cheap. I would recommend this hotel.

Review 25:PARKING! THEY DON T HAVE A PARKING, if you have a big (more than small) car. I thought I would be stuck rounds on all sides, not even rated a garage should be in my car, it is boasted to scratch the ceiling !!! Citing me, scratched myself very expensive car, and they did not even deign to me in some way in return for a problem that they did to me. When booking, I pointed out that we need a huge parking! Shame of them!

Review 26:I would prefer the room to be a liitle bit larger but it was ok since it was value for Money. The walls werw thin (we can hire people talking from the next room)

Review 27:Great location Excellent service and breakfast

Review 28:Room small but well presented

Review 29:Excellent Hotel and location would highly recommend staying here when visiting amazing Budapest. We found their transport system one of the best in Europe

Review 30:We found the staff very helpful and experienced and the breakfast was very good. It's a busy hotel, fairly priced for the amenities and we would recommend it. It's very central but in a quiet street.

Review 31:The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the main street Vaci Utca, the shops, the river Danube and the Baths. The hotel has a great breackfast, also veryeasy to rich from the airport.

Review 32:Rooms were quite small. Breakfast very crowded

Review 33:Great location close to riverfront, metro station and central market. Decent selection at breakfast. Helpful staff.

Review 34:We are disappointed. No chance to cancel.we had to pay the whole price although there was a big problem with the train and also at the borders.(high point of the refugees)

Review 35:Breakfast mediocre

Review 36:Clean, good facilities, friendly and knowledgeable staff, close to downtown shopping district and good restaurants, free WiFi, they left a complimentary bottle of wine in our room on my mom's birthday

Review 37:Mattresses could do with renewing, would also be nice having a chair in the room.

Review 38:Location is great staff friendly and helpful. Metro less than 50 Metres away and Trams

Review 39:Very noisy the room doors slam .there are no soft furnishings ot absorb the noise .The dinning room is very small and packed if you go from 8 to 9 . It's just not big enough .the layout is also cumbersome . It's a basic hotel . The decor is interesting In if not cheap . The residence baron next door is far superior .

Review 40:Location is perfect .

Review 41:The bed for a single size its small and everytime you move u can hear something noisy.

Review 42:Good location *,the breakfast because there's a variety to choose on,* nice & accomodating staff.

Review 43:Sometimes the breakfast team were a little slow at replenishing the fresh fruit!

Review 44:Good location. Value for money. Clean and comfortable. Staff could not be more helpful.

Review 45:Rooms are small, but they are clean and tidy

Review 46:Location is decent, and the bathroom was very nice. Staff are very friendly, and the breakfasts were canny.

Review 47:Staff is very helpful and friendly. You can get help from them about anything related to Budapest! And breakfast was good enough.. Air condition in the room was well working.

Review 48:Sound proofing of room extremely bad; could hear everything from next room. Small room no place to put the suitcase. Breakfast was ok but not very special. I was amazed to have to pay 30 euro deposit for minibar which i would not use anyway. Don't expect these issues in a real 4 star hotel.

Review 49:Nice design, great location, comfortable shower.

Review 50:The photos online are misleading. The hotel is not spacious but very small and the rooms are tiny. We had a regular double room and it was not only small, it was also very dark and undwelcoming due to the dark furniture and hardly any daylight. The walls were thin so we could basically hear every word from the guests next door. Breakfast was underwhelming with an elderly waiter who neither greeted us nor took orders.

Review 51:The location of the hotel is very central and good, most staff members are friendly, Wifi works well

Review 52:Nothing to dislike.

Review 53:Friendly helpful and welcoming staff. Spacious room. Fantastic breakfast. Good wifi. Would def stay there again as close to all tourist amenities.

Review 54:Room are quiet small. Wifi kept cutting in and out Not a great selection of breakfast and also the breakfast wasnt labelled so unsure what meat you are eating. Restaurant quiet small for breaky have to wait for table.

Review 55:Location was great. Staff was very nice

Review 56:Breakfast staff were unkind & made breakfast an awful experience. Brekfast was apparently open until 10:30, yet by 10am, not all foods were available and if you asked for eggs or cold milk they'd bring it to you but unkindly. And they would pack it up before 10:30 while you were still there eating.

Review 57:The hotel reception staff were great. Location was pretty good (only a short walk from the central restaurant & shopping districts). The hotel was extremely clean and pleasant.

Review 58:We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room. The hotel is in a brilliant location, right in the centre of budapest. Amazing breakfast. Rooms quite small but not a problem. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Review 59:Bed and blankets are unconfortable Rooms are small and noisy - you hear everyhting from the street No lights in the cupboard Very small bathroom and cheap towels Small tv Internet was dropping and did not work anymore

Review 60:Staff was very nice Breakfast quite nice too

Review 63:For a 4-star hotel it is normal to provide shower cap, slippers, nail files etc in the bathroom......The wardrobe space was inadequate, the rail should have reached from side to side rather than from front to back - more suitable for a man with few clothes than a woman with several dresses!

Review 64:Excellent location.

Review 65:I think that the room seemed better in the pictures than in real life. I was expecting a light, modern and clean room. It was dust in the room and I would absolutely not say that it was a modern room. I have to say that I was disappointed this time due to the other good reviews for this accommodation. I would not say that this is a four star hotel.

Review 66:I like the service of the staff. They were very polite and doing the best to make you feel well.

Review 67:Pre-arranged with Hotel to use Airport shuttle service but this failed to arrive. Had to use normal taxi service instead.

Review 68:Easy access to all the sights

Review 69:Very small room. Very pour sound isolation, you hear your neighbourss as they were in your room.. They took 50 euros as a garantee for the room - this is first time that I experienced that after years of traveling.

Review 70:Breakfast

Review 71:The price published in "Booking" search differed from the one that appeared when the time came to make a reservation, (probably VAT was not incorporated). There was a terrible noise on the last flour, early in the morning, probably cleaning ladies, chatting and shooting doors, just in front of our room. Very hard to reach the hotel by car (without violating traffic rules) and to find parking place.

Review 72:Good food selection for breakfast, good position of hotel for waking the city center.

Review 73:I am 60 with a sore shoulder, so found the bed too hard and uncomfortable - I lifted the mattress and it was just solid sheet metal underneath. The hotel swiftly sent me another pillow when I asked for it but I slept poorly for all my stay. My friend had no problems though. As mentioned in other reviews - sound carries - maybe carpeting the corridors might help, but there are still some selfish people who carry out a loud conversation at 2 am in the corridors, unfortunately. I would love to come back to the Zara...but for the beds :-(

Review 74:The location, cleanliness, and the friendly helpful staff. location was brilliant, at the foot of the Liberty Bridge and close by the Market Hall and Vaci Utca. Hotel recently modernised so it looked very smart. Liked our room and the bar area was nice.

Review 75:As a boutique hotel it fell very short of what you would expect. Furnishings were cheap and not completely functional. The bedroom for a double was very small. Hard to ventilate except by opening the window onto an unimpressive view. Strange things like no cash paid at the bar after 10pm and only one person having the key to the cash box. One day my room not cleaned. Fell short of expectations.

Review 76:The location was excellent and generally it was OK.

Review 77:The rooms and the corridors where very warm. The air conditioning didn't seem to work. We had to open the window the entire time. Unforntunality there was no waterboiler in the room for making tea.The tv was of a bad quality. The air ventilation in the bathroom was constantly on and couldn't be turned off. Room was a little bot to small.

Review 78:Hotel was clean, breakfast was very good. Location is excelent, staf is also nice.

Review 79:The location of this hotel was great! Right in the middle of shops and the market was right next door. Located on the Pest side, right near one of their beautiful bridges, it's perfect if you want to be close to shops and just get lost in the scenery

Review 80:The heat in the room despite using the aircon and putting down to the lowest. reported to front desk told to turn aircon off and open a window. paper thin walls.

Review 81:location was great. rooms clean, bed comfortable, good shower. good deal. nice hotel. breakfast included although average.

Review 82:All was perfect :-) perfect location of the hotel...exactly in the historical center but without to bother you the crowdy touristical places, very friendly stuff, excellent and very rich breakfast :-) very good value for money :-) Next time i will visit again Budapest i will stay in Boutique Zara Hotel :-) Thank you very much for everything :-) Mpampis-Karina

Review 83:Small room, minimal insulation between rooms (I could hear a woman talking on the phone in the room next to ours). The discounted price for the night (70 odd %) sounds about right, definetely does not worth the full price. The naked and live wires of the lamp on the night stand was just stuck into the socket in the wall, had to pull them out if wanted to switch the lamp off (?!).

Review 84:Location is good, staff was ok, a very nice argentin steak house is just around the corner.

Review 85:The only negative was the bed for me. It wasn't too comfortable.

Review 86:Lovely, elegant little hotel. Very clean, the staff at reception is very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast, you find everything you need to start the morning with.

Review 87:Unlike : I din't like very much but not at this hotel but general the blanket, but every hotel use those ones. Nothing else everything was super and it worth it's money.

Review 88:Like : 1. Location, 2. Hotel with real 4 stars, 3. Room was great - bathroom excellent too, 4. Staff really great - thanks for everything(room 109), 5. Breakfast - really fantastic, 6. Service - Excellent - sheets every 2 days & towels every day., 7.Photos from hotel are real. Hope visit you again.

Review 89:VERY small rooms, no isolation, next room is with their voices IN your room...... Beds incredibly unconfortable, linnen unusable, for a Boutique Hotel very poor.

Review 90:Staff very enjoyable and helpful

Review 91:- The room was a bit small. - The staff and especially the female staff was not very helpful. They did not give us any suggestions about restaurants cafes and shopping streets when we ajsed them and they didnt inform us about the surroundings of our hotel.

Review 92:- Location is perfect - Breakfast is very nice- variety of food -The room was cleaned every day

Review 93:The room was a bit small, but it was more than enough for us.

Review 94:The rooms are lovely designed and very clean. The hotel is located in a a central area, close to every possible transportation in Budapest. Hotel's staff were kind and pleasant.

Review 95:Nothing.

Review 96:Clean modern boutique hotel in a great location and at a good price. The breakfast was varied with hot and cold food and was sufficient to set you up for the day. The rooms were cleaned daily.

Review 97:Liked the whole experience of staying at Zara. Maybe an addition of tea/coffee facilities in room would be good.

Review 98:Clean contemporary and comfortable. Strong wifi signal in all rooms. Contemporary decor with a very cosy bed. Very central to all tourist locations in city. Friendly and professional staff.

Review 99:we had a twin room as we booked at the last minute. The beds were very low and uncomfortable and you had the choice of a giant pillow or a tiny one- both uncomfortable. The room was small and dark.

Review 100:Fabulous breakfasts and friendly staff and great location for public transport, river and pedestrian walking areas

Review 101:Walls in the rooms are a little thin, which can be distracting on occasion. A common English complaint: there was no tea or coffee in the room but it was easy enough to obtain if required.

Review 102:Location at one end of main shopping street within sight of Liberty Bridge (at least on one side), easy access to a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as pleasant walks along the river. Very good price, very helpful and friendly staff with excellent, clean, facilities, including a comfortable and, at this time of year, quiet, bar. Breakfast was good, with more than sufficient choice. TV in the room looked OK but there's so much to see in Budapest that we didn't have chance to turn it on.

Review 103:one thing only - changing the menu at breakfast would be nice

Review 104:a small boutique hotel, right at the end of vaci utca near the market. cosy and secluded. very nicely decorated interiour with fine paintings and jewlery (for sale!) rooms are small, basic but very nicely furnished and cosy. solid breakfast, staff are all friendly and willing to help. very cool atmosphere. location - one of the best in town. right an the (better) end of vaci utca, a minute from the danube with conections to everywhere. in is two stops from the jewish quarter (and the amazing kazinscy st. for night life), one stop from gellert baths, one stop from raday st, etc. good value for money totally enjoyable

Review 105:Paid for executive service. . But only got tea and coffee in room 3 out of 5 times and that was only because I asked for it. . Not good considering I paid for it.

Review 106:Clean and comfortable. Late check out and early check in.

Review 107:Nothing, everything about this hotel 10/10.

Review 108:Absolutely everything. The location, perfect and was spot on. The transport links were outstanding. The breakfast had a brilliant choice to accommodate everyone. Had an evening meal there on one evening and the food was beautiful. The Hotel is spotless and the staff so pleasant & helpful. Definitely staying here again.

Review 109:the walls are not sound proof and the guests next door had a party which no one stopped, so no sleep first night also upon check in there was a story of paying nearly 40 Euros, as a deposite and took 30 Euros as a tax payment. so do count your money and prepare

Review 110:location,design, breakfast all great

Review 111:The walls of some of the rooms are quite thin so it may get a bit noisy at times.

Review 112:The hotel is located centrally between one end of Vaci Utca and the beautiful old market, which makes it very convenient and highly efficient. Rooms are very nice and top-notch clean, and there's a choice of non/smoking. Breakfast is great: eat as much as you can Smörgåsbord. Staff is excellent and always available.

Review 113:Everything. Location was superb, 2 minutes away from a metro station. Breakfast really good especially fresh croissants and nice coffee. Staff really nice...pointed me to an authentic Hungarian restaurant one evening which was superb. Could not fault it in any way and I got amazing value for money for 4 nights.

Review 114:Very good location, at the beginning of Vaci Utca, the most crowded road in the center of Budapest. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very rich and delicious breakfast.

Review 115:Uncomfortable bed with really small duvet, small room. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special about it. No extra ammenities in the room (only a bottle of water for 3 euro, which turned out to be filled from the tap and already opened...). Walls are paper thin, so you can really hear your neigbours.

Review 116:Amazing location, right in the centre of town, nice decor and friendly, helpfull staff.

Review 117:Hotel is on an excellent location, has its own parking garage, restaurant and the stuff is very helpful. Facilities and the rooms are spacious and clean and we have no whatsoever complains for our stay. Great value for the money.

Review 118:For toothbrush (I forgot one) I had to pay extra At Breakfast eggs and bacon were not warm enough anymore the second morning

Review 119:Comfort of room Free WiFi

Review 120:I would like permanent coffee and tea facilities and better tending of the room after I left and removed the do not disturb sign. They did not take care of the room at all until the second day of my stay.. I supose it must have been a random overlook .

Review 121:Location near transportation means, Market Hall, Vaci utca one of the main tourist streets leading to the center, Gellertspa, Liberty Bridge. Fair breakfast of good quality, clean room, great wifi, warm rooms, helpful staff

Review 122:A bit crowded at breakfast. It came sometimes difficult to find a table at peak hours from 9-11am

Review 123:Everything was awesome, breakfast, comfort, service, location.

Review 124:The room is too small, the walls are thin, therefore you have no privacy in this hotel, the parking is expensive and if you don't reserve your parking space in time, you won't get one. The breakfast is poor, the bed is uncomfortable... The hotel is old and needs some maintenance.

Review 125:The location is close to the city center

Review 126:Small bedroom. Breakfast was good but better take it early in the morning because some food after finishing takes a long time to be replaced or is not replaced at all. Wi-fi did not worked in the last 2 days off our stay.

Review 127:Good location, walking distance from majority of Budapest atractions and really close to the tube.

Review 128:For this price, the bed could definitely be more comfortable. The TV was also on the very small side and most channels did not work. The breakfast that was offered reminded me more of a two star hotel. (no fresh fruit or fresh juice!). For a short stay it was still a nice experience.

Review 129:The location next to Vaci utca was perfect. The room was nicely decorated, but very small.

Review 130:the lighting in room 512 was terrible. the size of room was so different from the picture. not a great option of fruit at breakfast .

Review 131:excellent friendly staff.. especially Gregory what a great help. in a great location . shower and bathroom good.

Review 132:Towels were a bit thin but maybe the replacement ones would be a bit thicker but only stayed one night. Checkout at 10 am is a bit early, we weren't rushed out but worth noting.

Review 133:Location is excellent, just round the corner from the indoor market and the green metal bridge ( name escapes me right now ). The bar is fabulous and rooms are ideal for short stay if a little small. Will stay here again on a longer trip.

Review 134:I didn't like the lack of soundproofing in the bedrooms ,it could be quite noisy in the early mornings.the access to the sister hotel for spa/fitness ,there should be some kind of free transfer available.

Review 135:The staff especially in dining room were friendly and helpful and the coffee was good.the shower was goodin bedroom

Review 136:Location was really good, relaxed atmosphere at breakfast which was fine, and pleasant chilled bar area. Reception staff were friendly and helpful with good local advice.
