Review 1：1. The heat in the room was often closed during the day/night from the general controller on the hotel so I needed to check the heaters each time when coming back to the hotel, and adjust the temperature on the controller to start again the heaters. 2. Particular smell from the bathroom pipe, but it went away after pressing a towel over the piper opening on the bottom of the shower cabin.

Review 2：1. Very convenient position (close to the lake and close to the center of the city) 2. Nice bath in the room (the room had both bathtube in the bedroom and shower cabin in the bathroom) 3. Good breakfast (with different choices of normal or sweet food) 4. Nice stuff (competent, helpful, speaking English)

Review 3：The first thing that we actually hated was the smell coming out of the bathroom. Their sewage system and the plumbing are definitelly not ok for a four star hotel. We had to put a wet towel on the drain in the shower to keep the smell out. The next day cleaning staff remived the towel and the horrible smell was back. The second one was the heating. First day it was warm, the second it was very cold. The third one was to do with a receit. The lady seemed reluctant to give us the printed bill/invoice. I had to ask her twice. We got it in hungarian. I know the official language is Hungarian, but we are tourists and we do not know the language. We just gave up and did not bother them for an English version. Thank God for google translate.

Review 4：We liked the architecture of the building and the breakfast was nice, but that is all.

Review 5：All in all our stay was really amazing at Jókai Villa, but as they say there is always room for improvement :) One thing pops into our mind: coffee, it was not nearly as good as the rest of the delicious and varied items of the breakfast :)

Review 6：The hotel is located in nicely renovated villa and in a peaceful and quite residential zone which made our weekend perfect and relaxing. The staff were also really great and helpful during our whole stay, and when we asked them if it was possible to postpone our check-out time due to a running event (after which we much appreciated a hot shower :) ), they immediately said yes without making any fuss about it. Absolutely recommended!

Review 7：A bit expensive. Quite limited breakfast (at 9 a.m. most plates are almost empty - so you have to ask waiters to bring you a portion - however, they do not speak any language except Hungarian). Unfortunately, there is nothing to do in October, city is empty.

Review 9：In autumn it is a little bit cold, so heating via air condition is not enough , so hotel should be heated I amen rooms, not only lobby and corridors. Radiators were cold . Also just a little bit better cleaning of rooms

Review 11：We absolutely LOVED this place!! I chose it as a surprise to my history and culture loving partner and it lived up to the expectations fully. The architecture, the atmosphere, everything was breathtaking. It was intriguing to stay at the place where one of the greatest writers, Jókai stayed once. The location is excellent:both the water and the city center are just 5 minutes away. The staff is fantastic, you can tell that they put their heart and soul into the job and they love what they do. I had a nice conversation with one of them, too. They are excited for each and every guest and very knowledgeable of the area. Oh and don't forget the rich European breakfast in the morning! Overall, the hotel is highly recommended for history lovers. We hope to come back again this Christmas.

Review 12：- location is not in the most crowded place, but still lots of noise from the street, especially because it is located at a crossing of two high traffic roads and many cars are stopping and accelerating here - although the building is renovated the old windows, the walls (externally, also on the terrace) started to loose painting (I have expected more when booking. - the cleaning material caused smell of vinegar in the building and in the room - the carpet on the floor vacuum cleaned, but still seemed to be dirty (it is (was:) light brown originally, but seemed gray, under the bed dust were not cleaned properly - in the bathroom the shower cabin was not cleaned from mould. It was an issue from the past as well I guess, as the cabin was changed, the places of old holes for screws are visible. - old doors of rooms made lots of noise even from other rooms - staff communicated by shouting during the day (we have spent several hours in the room during daytime as our 1 year old child slept there.

Review 13：- nice garden and building - small hotel, thus less guests - modern style of bathroom - bed seemed to be quite new - air ventilation can be activated in the bathroom - special request (bed, bath for small child, child-seat in the restaurant, when to make up the room) were carried out - breakfast had wide selection (even vegetables were available)

Review 20：Cleanliness. There was hair all over the floor and bathroom also on thebedding and the spare pillows. There were stains on the sheet and whenasked to change it, the mattress was downright disgusting!! We had roomno 1 on the ground floor. Basically an old wooden door separates youfrom the reception and the breakfast area. You could hear everyconversation happening in the lobby, and every morning we were woken at6am to the industrial coffee machine (that was right in front of ourdoor) and the staff preparing breakfast. In our opinion this room is notfit to be let out. When we complained at reception the guy was trying tobe nice, but couldn't do much. He promised that the manager will bethere the next morning and she will help us resolve our issues. Nextmorning the manager arrived and to our surprise she didn't sayanything to us let alone apologise. The price is ridiculous for what youare getting at this Hotel. Very disappointing!! If you are looking for arelaxing time do not stay here!

Review 32：The villa looked so romantic, positively different from other places you can find in Siofok. Close both to city centre and the beach, it is a really nice place for people who do want to sleep at night. We were pleasantly surprised when we received a suite instead of room we ordered, because there was no other room with balcony :) Great and fresh breakfast, attentive chef went out to ask if we want to have more omelette! We had a great rest!

Review 33：The hotel is only a few hundred metros away from the railway station andduring the night a couple of trains run through and you definitely hearthe noise. We had a 50% discount when booking, so the price was reallyok. I wouldn't book it for the normal price. There are cheaperoptions in Siofok - especially if you consider that the Hungarian Forintis comparatively weak to the Euro (and 100 eur per night and person atthe regular rate are really too high for what you get).

Review 34：The hotel and the personnel were nice, the service and the breakfastvery good. The rooms are nice, the bed was comfortable. The beach andthe many bars and restaurants are only a few minutes walk. There wasalso a parking lot available and the whole yard is locked over night, soyour car is safe.

And this is much nicer to stay than just a package hotels nearby! the atmosphere is like at home and I could bring my dog with me which was just great ! Review 66：We stayed one night in June 2014 on the way to Budapest. Excellent small hotel in an old villa in a quiet tree-lined side street, 3 minutes walk from Lake Balaton and easy to find from the motorway. The English-speaking staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful large room with a balcony at the front of the hotel, tastefully furnished with a very comfortable, very large bed. The buffet-style breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.
