Review 1：If you have ever in your life stayed in 4 or 5 stars hotel, or evendecent 3 starts hotel - I beg you !!! Don't even think about onenight at Hotel Lido. Stay away from this hotel, if you don't want toscrew up your vacation, please !!!!

Review 2：We had the most expensive room in that terrible "studenthostel" with beautiful view on Balaton. Only the photo,adertisement of that room with the nice view on Balaton unfortunatelyencouraged us to book 3 nights in that hell!

Review 5：Best lokacion in Siofok. Near center and on the lake. Brekfast is ok. Rooms are new. Kids playground and kidsroom. Private beach. I was 12th time in Siofok but this hotel are much beter then other ( Ezuspart, Molo, Kentaur ..) . I will come again next year ...

Review 7：I can only say positive thing about the hotel. Perfect location, very clean room. I had the best sleep! It is in the centre of night life. It may be a bit loud, but hey it is a city centre. Wi-fi worked fine in the lobby as promised. Breakfast was also good. I like the receptionist the best. Loveliest girl ever!

Review 8：Anything else - very bad. Millions of insects in a dirty room, dirty towels no wifi in the room. Staff were unbelievably rude - they have a body guard not a receptionist. Not recommended at all.

Review 10：TV in room was 11" Room needs some repairs in our room toilet door lock didn't work in toilets they have to install a fan or if there is at least they repair it because in are room it didn't work and because of one of our friend all the night we were outside Breakfast was so poor quality as well there were fruits that were not fresh at all at least it's good those apple which were rotten throw it to garbage But we had breakfast we are alive yet

In the garden of the Hotel and the next hotel people are up partying the whole night; In the same level of the Hotel lood teenies(?) drunk, at 4 a.m. banging doors - no staff calmed them down! Hotel does not care - it seems to be a "party all night, but do not sleep" accomodation.

Review 17：Reception staff were not very welcoming and friendly, instead lecturing and authoritarian. I was e.g. questioned why I didn't speak Hungarian after having lived in Hungary a year. It was also remarked that we were 3 that had arrived for the family room instead of 4. During the day, sometimes the reception desk was not staffed. The hotel appeared overall in run down condition, requiring major overhaul. Corridors, general facilities did not appear to have been attended to for decades. The two small elevators did not have enough capacity for the number of guests, and on our second day one of the elevators was out of service. Wifi only works in the lobby, not in the rooms. The air conditioning remote control we received for our room did not work and had to be exchanged. There was a brocken socket in the room. Breakfast was arranged without much care, and the selection was meek. The cafeteria was overall more a hostel or factory canteen style. Luggage storage space appeared limited. There is an outside parking, but about 150 - 200 m from the hotel, and at extra cost. The beachfront (grass area) to the hotel was great, with sunny and shady parts, though there is only one entry point to the water, a small, slippery staircase. The rest of the front is a slippery and rough cement slope.

Review 18：The location was excellent, directly by the beach. Our room had been refurbished and nicely designed (with the exception of the bathroom, which seemed of a lesser standard). Beds were spacious and comfortable. We had a spectular panaroma view (continuous windows on front and side) from our room onto Lake Balaton. Also the view from the caferia onto the beach and lake was great, and one could proceed directly to the beach from it. The waterfront was wonderful for a holiday, bathing in temperate (warm) waters, possibility of renting boats etc.

Review 20：Superb location - a minute away from hundreds of dining, drinking and clubbing options, but on the edge of the "quiet side". Clean private beach, simple and clean rooms, great view of the lake from the room, simple but real and plentiful breakfast food.

I was shocked by the behavior and having traveled quite a lot in my life ( been cabin crew) first time had such a bad experience in the hotel !!!

Review 28：First they wanted from me 46 Euro for night, but I have booked price 25 Euro. After they realized, that probably there was mistake and they confirmed price 25 Euro. Then I wanted to pay with credit card and they forced me to pay cash, because they have some limit(around 30 Euro), under what you have to pay every payment cash. But I didn´t have cash, co they took my payment by credit card. But I had very bad feeling from this situation.

Breakfast is made for german tourists (official language seems to be Deutsch), it changes every day and is great. What else? Clean, quiet, nice staff and view of the lake.

Review 33：Hotel Lido in Sifok I had a bad experience. I made the reservation no. 829060945 through booking.com on August 9: 2 budget rooms for one night, 10/11 September. On August 10 (the very next day after booking) hotel staff immediately extracted 13800 huf my credit card (equivalent to 44.10 euros). On the evening of September 10 service receptionist charged me AGAIN value accommodation, 16900 huf because I asked a parking our car. I did not realize this until today when I went to my bank and I asked for an extract of account. I could tell you more about the body language of the receptionist, who spoke to us with his hands crossed on his chest, with an ironic smile and upper with a slightly aggressive tone that left us at a pool to handle another tourist who speak Hungarian. Sorry, I only speak French, English and Italian. The way to treat tourists seems to me to be catastrophic and completely unacceptable. Where and how consumer rights are respected? Is this the way to travel, book and put credit card data (via booking.com) reliable and honest? You send this message Lido Siofok or will I have to give my phone to retrieve my own money?

Review 37：Hotel Lido is straight in lakeshore. It's no far from Siafok railway station. In 10 minutes walk. Staff is very nice and helpful. They give us late check out. The room was clean and comfortable.View from the balcony was amazing. Swans were swimming along lakeside. There are a lot of bars, restrants, bakeries, gift shops near here.

Review 38：Hotel located in very loud place - non comfortable for families with children. Apartments was very small and rather poor quality. Wi-fi works on reception only. No free parking place unfortunately. Unpleasant staff without English communication skills.

Review 40：I only stayed in hotel for one day, and booked a budget room. What they dont tell you there is that budget room means : NO TOWELS in room, no room cleaning or change of sheets , extra charge for air conditionaire.. Most of these is ok , but no towels is a discace... Easyhotel and travelodge are budget chains but even they have towls... You have to pay extra for external parking facilities , 1500 Ft / day.. Dont plan to use beach on departure day, as you can only use to check out at 10 am, after you have to pay 1000Ft per person to use beach... This is not standard at hotels in balanton area, and makes me very cross after the amount they asked for standard room..

Review 41：The hotel has been well decorated, the rooms and furnishings are nice, the beach front is excellent, with own entrance to lake... Restaurants, bars, nightlife is 5 minutes walk from hotel, and boating pier 15 minutes... For those who can afford the hotel and extra fees a good choice..

Review 43：I would have payed more for the hotel if it would have been better, because cheapness is trendy only among young people and homeless people in Brooklyn. Cheapness attracts cheap people and their activity, like staying in the parking lot in front of the hotel and listen loud music in the night, drinking cheap beer. The hotel has 3 stars, but i dont think it will ever be able to upgrade to 4 stars, due its small room size. Maybe its better to demolish and build a new one, smaller but better!

Review 74：very nice place for a transit trip between Poland and Chroatia (early autum) but I think it has a lot of advantages during the high season as well. Comfortable bed and really nice view from the balcony. My wife was happy of the place, it is worth to go.
