Reviews for Tara Guest House
Review 1:Tuk tuk might not know this plaće, so ask to take you ; haritage hotel and afer 100 m turn right. Best place we have stayed in India. Very welcoming, clean and comfor. You will feel like at home. + the money you pay your room goes for poor kids education. Stay here and you will not regret it, will make u feel good.
Review 2:The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!
Review 3:We arrived as guests and left as friends! Outstanding service and hospitality. I can't recommend Tara Guest House enough and will always stay there when I visit Bodhgaya.
Review 4:We were tourists; & were not spiritually inclined. We got a feeling that we were expected to be spiritually interested.
Review 5:Friendly, V.helpful, & value for money.
Review 6:The owners are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. They took care of my every need. It is a fantastic place both to live in comfort and to learn about Bodhgaya.
Review 7:We were very impressed with the Indian family who run Tara Guest House. They are friendly, kind and very helpful. They served us delicious food, and we were very comfortable. The MahaBodhi Temple is about a mile from the guest house; a very enjoyable walk through the rural scenery. Bicycles are also available. The guest house supports a wonderful local school, which we were invited to visit. The experience was very inspiring. We hope to return here!
Review 8:A calm and clean guesthouse operated by very passionate and friendly people. Situated in a peaceful part of town away from the main road. A fantastic place to retreat to after a long day. The staff were very helpful organising g train tickets and taxis to Gaya station. Also nice to know the revenue generated from the guest house goes towards funding a local school.
Review 9:The rooms are very comfortable and clean and all the amenities of home i.e. towels, toilet paper, a bike if you want to use it, and a laundry machine.
Review 10:Wifi was out of order due to construction nearby, but that's par for the course in India! Staff helped us figure out travel arrangements despite that hiccup.
Review 11:Anooj and staff (thanks for the delicious meals Sintu!) were delightful, generous hosts. The guesthouse is a project to benefit a local school for children who would otherwise be begging on the streets of Bodhgaya. One can interact with the children and visit the school as much as one chooses. They are of course interested in gaining sponsors, but the fundraising pitch is gentle and graceful. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the Mahabodhi Temple/central Bodhgaya right near the Tergar Monestary (an annual teaching site for the Karmapa).
Review 12:The caring family that housed us was amazing. They went totally above and beyond to help us when we were sick from previous travels. Food was great, healthy and generous. servings. Location was out of the crazy part of town but walking distance to the centre.
Review 13:Rooms are small, not so clean. location is very far from the main locations of the city.
Review 14:Management at the hotel is very helpful
Review 15:Wonderful family run place where they really make you feel welcome. Very clean and great food!
