Review 1：Our room was lacking part of the shower door and we had to phone to ask for blankets. We had a balcony with a pleasant view but no shelter from the sun. Also, we went down to breakfast half an hour before it was finishing to find that there was very little to eat. They didn't feel the need to replenish the food available.

Review 6：Stayed at Captain Yiannis for a week and attended a wedding held there. Had a twin room which was very clean,had a fridge etc and the view from the balcony was fantastic. The owner and staff could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Great location with a nice short stoll to the bars and restaurants. Review 8：It was close enough to the centre of Vathi that it was a short, pleasant stroll to bars and restaurants but not so close that it was loud and hectic. The room was lovely and comfortable and the views were stunning. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Review 20：Our room with terrace was absolutely wonderful. The view of the sea and old town kept me staring at it several hours. Staff also helped us a lot both in terms of of finding best beaches and restaurants. This hotel must be rated a lot higher than its current level.

Excellent location as you can walk into town but also to a quieter marina area as well as the beaches. The kind owner offered outstanding service throughout. We are looking forward to the next time we can stay at Captain Yiannis!
Review 24：Hard to find anything negative but if I had to pick I'd say that the pool closes a bit too early at 7 every night and the breakfast could have been better. Although it is near Vathy, you really need a car or moped to get anywhere else on the island or to any decent beaches. There is a beach a few minutes walk from the hotel but it's not very clean or well maintained.
Review 25：What a fabulous hotel, it was really beautiful. The room was superb, really luxurious compared to other accomodation we stayed in. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The manager Stefanos was fantastic, one day we locked the keys in our room by mistake and the key was still in the lock. He had it sorted within the hour, no fuss and no charge. It's only a 10 minute walk from Vathy, lovely salt water pool. There was a wedding on while we were there and we even got invited to join in!

Review 41：Stunning sea/bay views from room and from bar/pool area.Perfectly placed just out of town but right on the waterside - easy 10minute, flat walk into town along the bayside .Extremely friendly andhelpful hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble for Stefanos, theowner. Comfortable, simple but tastefully furnished, air conditionedrooms. Towels changed every day, sheets every three days. Despiteprevious reviews, we actually thought the breakfasts were perfectlyadequate, considering the price of the room. There was unlimited filtercoffee/corn flakes/fresh bread /cheese/yoghurt/honeyetc. You could pay €3 extra for nicely cooked bacon and eggs or omeletteetc, & for "proper" coffee, so I really don't see whateveryone in the previous reviews is moaning about. Perhaps some freshjuice rather than watered down squash would have been an improvement. Wemet several people who have been returning there each year for manyyears. We will definitely be back, too!

Review 44：You could not enjoy breakfast (which was quite poor) because of the bees which would come right away upon your food. The pool was filled by sea water and it was quite far from the room (many stairs).
Review 45：The splendid view to the harbour of Vathi from our balcony. The spot where it is built is perfect. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The staff of the hotel was the most gentle. You could rent little motor boats which I think is the better way to explore this island.
