Review 1：I have stayed in old houses in Makrinitsa that are perfectly adapted to the needs of modern tourism (without being excessively 'modernized'). This is not the case of the Archontiko Routsou - it is an old house that is almost intact - meaning there is no comfort at all, apart from a perfect wifi connection. The bathroom is located in something that is not bigger than a cupboard (maybe it used to be a walled cupboard indeed). Everything looks worn out and even dirty. The photos and the descriptions are also misleading. I had reserved a room of 30 m2 but I was offered a very small room where there was no more place than for the two beds put the one next to the other. When I asked to see the room with the fireplace I had booked, they showed me a place where there was a fireplace indeed but the room had a suffocatingly low ceiling. It could be OK, if you want to stay in an almost intact Balkan house from the 19th century but, in any case, the prices are very high: I paid 42 EUR, but these are not rooms even for 30 EUR.

Review 2：A nice house in the traditional style of Makrinitsa and Pelion, right at the central street, few steps away from the central square, with an amazing view to the Volos Gulf. The staff was very friendly. The wifi connection was perfect. That's all the positive I can say.

Review 5：Dirty and cold (really cold) room. Bathroom with no heating. Smoke coming out of the fire place. No cot for our baby so we had to sleep for 2 nights all three of us in one bed which wasn't very wide.
