Review 2：Our experience with Hotel R.K.Palace were fantastic.Rashid khan, owner greeted us and offered coffee. check in and check out were fast.Our room were ready and nicely decorated. wifi were available and hot water too.Location is excellent just 10 minutes walk to Mahabodhi Temple and other temples.staff were helpful and arranged cab to Patna at reasonable price. A True Value Place.Thoroughly recommended to all.

Review 3：Hotel reception staff were too eager sell tour packages at high prices for religous sites. All the sites could be visited in a tuk tuk or by walking. This was conveniently not mentioned to us as the hotel no doubt get a cut on the tour charges.

Review 6：My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights & were impressed by the luxury of our room, professionalism of the staff and the great location. It was spacious, well appointed & appeared newly decorated.The concierge arranged a tour to Rajgrih was very good. They even walked us to the area where we were to meet our tour. This is definitely the place to stay in Bodhgaya.

Review 7：The location was bad, it was located at the very edge of the village, about 20-30 minutes to Mohabodi temple by walking. The location indicated on map of booking.com was incorrect. The elevator didn't work, we had to walk up the stair to our room on the 3rd floor. They said free wifi in hotel, but actually only work at lobby. The room was bad, window doesn't close tightly, and has lots of mosquitoes. The staff was dis-honest, they tried to cheat us when we ask them to arrange taxi to train station for us, at first they told us Rs1500, but we negotiated down to Rs800, which was nearly half the price. We expected to negotiat price on the street, but we didn't expect hotel staffs to cheat us too.

Review 8：The restaurant was surprisingly good, with many varieties, especially curry and naan, definitely one of the best in our 2 weeks trip in India

Review 9：There are several Safety Hazards that make this place unsafe. First of all, the hotel is not finished. It has 4 floors but top floor is only roughed in (brick and cement). The rear stairway next to our room on the third floor was not completed... It had no handrails and the electrical wiring was exposed in the walls. One could fall down the stairwell all the way to bottom. The front stairway next to the elevator had no handrail nor barrier to the unfinished 4th floor. The elevator had problems... sometimes stopping mid floor and the door opening to a bare wall... sometimes the door would close only half way then reopen... and sometimes the power would go out.The Room was in disrepair. The entry door was warped and would bind on the door frame.... unable to open or shut door except with extreme force. My wife has weak arms and could not open or shut the door. The bathroom door latch was broken so there was no way to secure the door. The electrical circuits (outlets) kept tripping... must reset in breaker box in hall. Toilet was not properly aligned on floor in bathroom showing poor workmanship. The shower drain had a broken grill and was basically just a hole in the wall. The bathroom floor was not clean nor dry due to the open shower space (soap scum covered the floor and wall near drain).Housekeeping service was not provided. We had to ask for a change of towels, for soap and shampoo packets, and to have them empty the waste baskets. No cleaning was done... the room was not made up.After first night we requested a new room but of no use. We were shown 4-5 rooms to move to but all rooms had safety problems. All the doors were warped and would not open/shut properly. Some doors were broken and could not be locked. Door frames on some doors were coming apart. Hotel people said that "Chinese" materials were used in building the doors and frames and all were going bad.The RK Palace Hotel is not advertised honestly.

Review 10：The only thing that we liked was the food and service at the restaurant.

Review 11：We have no complaints at all. But for tourists accustomed to softer mattresses, the beds could be enhanced by an underlay or mattress protector on top of the mattress to provide a little more padding.

Review 12：The owner/manager went to great lengths to assist with our travel arrangements at other hotels including making numerous calls and printing off material for me. When we requested an additional bed in the room for our son, he upgraded us to a family suite (2 rooms) at the same cost. The ensuites were marble-lined and pristine and they provided toilet paper and free water daily. The manager can also arrange trips at short notice in the (safe) hotel car to local sights and can drop clients at the train station at Gaya to catch early morning trains to Agra.

Review 13：Cons:: Heavy billing for airport pick up and drop.Its less than 10 kms and i was charged 1600rs for drop and pick up which the staff will tell you only at check out.After i argued the manager gave me discount of 600rs but still charged me 1000rs for airport. Rooms are heavily priced for this region.it costed me 3100 per night for a deluxe single room. NO buffet breakfast.You need to choose any one from menu and order. Room service comes faster than free breakfast order. WiiFi locked. The door security atleast can have a smile on his face. Worst old vehicle for pick up and drop which is charged heavy. Its 1.5Kms from Mahabhodhi temple. I have booked for a king bed but was provided twin bed and was a bit uncomfortable.

Review 14：Pros:: Near to airport 9kms. Clean rooms and restaurant Fast check in and check out. Polite staff. Hot water. Clean sheets and towels.

The staff are amazing and friendly & make you feel extremely welcome. Close to temple area. Mahabodhi temple is few minutes walk.wifi, hot shower everything worked fine.

Review 22：When I went to check out the manager told me I needed to pay cash due to his faulty card machine. I nearly missed my flight racing around ATM's to get cash for him before being told by a local that it is a scam so they can get cash instead of card (I'll leave the benefits of this to your imagination). When I told the manager the ATMs wouldnt give me cash so I couldnt pay him, of course his faulty card machine started working immediately. The internet is slow. The food is average in the hotel restaurant. The service is poor. Their is so much noise from the road you can't sleep.
