Reviews for Halasi Pince Panzió

Review 1:not really

Review 2:amazing place really clean and with lots of character. beautiful renovated rooms that keep something from the old atmosphere of a cottage. very friendly stuff

Review 3:Always friendly staff, excellent food and drinks. Unique furniture and very good service. We return here since it has been opened at least once a year.

Review 4:Breakfast was very sparse. You get bread and yoghurt and also the possibility to order omelette, that is it. We missed cheese, scrambled eggs and other things you expect at breakfast. On our first day, the room was not cleaned at all. We complained at the reception and was informed that "my colleague will come and clean tomorrow". That is not OK!! Staff was nice, but I feel they could be more service minded towards the guests. Having said that, it is indeed a nice hotel but they could make so much more out of it.

Review 5:The location is great in the main street of Villany. It is a very clean and nice small hotel. The bathroom was lovely. There was a restaurant in connection to the hotel which offered good food and wines.

Review 6:One waitress in the downstairs restaurant was very inattentive and seemed to intentionally misunderstand requests. She is the only person who kept the staff from getting 5 stars.

Review 7:Location was great. Facilities were clean and beautifully decorated. Most of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 8:The whole experience was wrecked by the disgusting snotty attitude of the waitress in the hotel restaurant. Eye rolling, mumbling things about Angol (English) under her breath, slapping the drink menu on the table - not the food menu as it is a tablet, played on her phone and never actually ever came back for our order so we had to leave and find something else to eat - not easy on a Thursday in winter. She wrecked the whole thing - feel sorry for the owner and other staff who are obviously trying; advice - spend a little more and go for a first class experience nearby.

Review 9:The room was great and well priced.

Review 10:A very beautiful place, but unfortunately the rooms are towards the main street are very, very Noisy. For a place so beautiful, breakfast is very poorly.

Review 11:The restaurant is nice, the food very good. The rooms are beautiful.

Review 12:Safe left closed by the previous guest in the room. Some fight with flies in the room upon arrival :).

Review 13:Central location, very particular interior, perfect parking possibility, kind staff, good sorts of food and wine. Recommended to everybody searching for some relaxing time.

Review 14:Our room was on the main level next to the cafe and reception so it was a bit noisy at 22:30-23:00.

Review 15:Beautiful hotel with a lovely restaurant down stairs. Room was large with modern fixtures. Inexpensive but felt more upscale. Right next to the Gere Hotel which was more expensive. Convenient to so many vineyards. Easy to find by car, with the help of GPS of course.

Review 16:The place is beautifully designed with a care to details. Very comfortable, well equipped rooms. Good location and very nice restaurant serving fantastic food

Review 17:nothing. everything was amazing.

Review 18:- gorgeous facilities - solid wood furniture, spotless, tasteful - friendly and very accommodating staff - perfect location

Review 19:Not a happy place. Staff tended towards disobliging. We were going to have supper but all other patrons looked unhappy and it took ages for them to attend to us so took the hint and left. Also our friend was furious that the internet rate booked was not honoured.

Review 20:Lovely building in center of winevillage. Great aircon! Really sweet personnel. Nice terrace. Good breakfast. Bed, shower excellent. Quiet room off main road.

Review 21:Although we were very satisfied, we would like to suggest some improvements. The breakfast could have a little larger variety with an accent on fresh vegetables. The street side rooms are a little bit noisy, but we learned that there will be a new road built around the village in fall 2014, which will hopefully redirect the traffic.

Review 22:The place is in the centre of the village just where all the wine cellars are. The building is very nicely designed "neorustic" piece, down to the smallest details and it transmits a great overall atmosphere, including its large cellar and terrace overlooking a spectacular vista. The restaurant is excellent, we tried almost all items on the menu and each and every dish was a culinary delight in itself. The staff was kind and very helpful.

Review 23:good breakfast,friendly staff,good parking,lovely village

Review 24:On Sunday, allready on 21:00 everything was closed.

Review 25:Great hotel on a great location in Villany. Excellent rooms and service. Great food and wines.

Review 43:The evening staff was plain awfull.

Review 44:Good location. Nice design. Lovely rooms. Excellent food. Good wine (not so good on the beer front).

Review 45:Very lovely, charming, rustic hotel with all the modern amenities. We stayed with 2 children and it was fine. We needed an additional bed for our child and it was accommodated without any problem. Parking is great (behind hotel) and the walking access to wineries is wonderful.

Review 46:There we're a lot of flies around at breakfast

Review 47:The hand crafted furniture and room decor were the best I've ever seen, beautifully done. We had a meat and cheese platter with our wine, on the pretty terrace with the view of the sunset, that was so humongous we skipped dinner. Great hospitality.

Review 48:The rooms on the street front are a bit noisy. Hopefully when the big trucks don't cross the village then it wouldn't be an issue.

Review 49:Location is perfect all the well known wineries are nearby. The room was one of the best ones, comfortable bed, rustic interior the bathroom and especially the shower was big enough. The food was exceptional.

Review 50:Hotel and restaurant price to high. In the restaurant the wine offer was insufficient. (However it is a restaurant of winery!!!)

Review 51:Almost everything, nice, clean, comfortable room. Very nice building in good place. Staff was kind and helpful.

Review 52:Everything was perfect. It is highly recomended to travellers who like good food and wine. I booked another 2 days for next months with my friends. 5 star quality, for good price.

Review 53:Road is very noisy and dusty.Very difficult to sleep or have a rest.

Review 54:The big hall and restaurant with real taste, delicate decoration.Very comfortable big king bed.Very kind staff.

Review 55:The personnel of the restaurant and the hotel both overcharged us when the bill came in. They did not seem to be very professionally organised.

Review 56:Very comfortable hotel right in the middle of Villany. It is brand new and has a reasonably good restaurant.

Review 57:A little bit noisy if you have the room from the street site. But anyway it was great stay.

Review 58:Great food and wines, clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Nice and comfortable design. We like the stay very much.

Review 59:Slightly noisy location being in the centre of town so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Review 60:Amazing gourmet dining. From ipad menus to the food that looks exactly like the pictures. Incredible!

Review 61:This was our second visit at Halasi and, just like the first time, verything was perfect. The food, the rooms, the wine, the ambiance. It makes you want to return and you feel pamperred just as one should feel in a holiday.

Review 62:The air conditioner in the breakfast room was not turned on and room was warm.

Review 63:The inn is a beautifully executed replica of an old fashioned inn. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Excellent and innivative cuisine. Great location.

Review 64:The bed-sheets were hard to control, they were not fitted sheets andthey lumped under you during the night, an insignificant inconvenience

Review 65:Tasteful decor, imaginative fine touches, comfortable large room. We atedinner on the outside terrace, chaming ambiance !.....excellentservice.....one of the finest meals in a long time, congratulations tothe chef ! very good breakfasts, could have a little more variety, a fewtoo many omelettes, we tasted three all delicious ! Review 66:Very high quality accomodation and services. Spacious rooms, excellentbreakfast and the restaurant is a must to try. Staff is really nice andhelpful, location is perfect for excursions in the country or to Pécs,wine tasting and gastronomy, for which this region is famous. So it isjust perfect, can recommend it to everyone!

Review 67:Our room was above the bar (room no. 3) and unfortunately, it was noisy until 2 in the morning. We would definitely recommend to ask for another room, if you stay there.

Review 68:A lovely hotel with beautiful, traditionally furnished rooms, nice bathrooms and a good restaurant in the cellar. Their own wine is worth to taste, even if not the best in the region.
