Review 1：Mattress a little too hard for my taste, but that is because it is new. I prefer softer.

Review 2：Very clean, great location in centre and 15 m from airport bus stop. Professional, friendly and helpful staff. Well heated. Quiet room. Great value!

Review 3：Only one card key per room which could be awkward if a couple went out separately. Although it is only temporary and not the fault of the hotel the 7.00 AM alarm call from the workmen in the square, but it does mean you won't be late for Breakfast.

Review 5：I love this hotel. The staff really makes you feel like this is your place. The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing, fantastic shopping and eating out. It is a close enough to the popular night club area but the short distance away lets me get a good nights sleep.

Review 6：It is central, good breakfast. friendly staff and clean. We stay here each year for just one night before hiring a car and going on to our holiday destination. Would highly recommend it.

Review 7：The atrocious building quality of this type of British Hotel is to be expected. The added bonus of no noise insulation, doors designed to make a loud bang on impact. The room was advertised as "internal" with no view. It also did not have any ventilation!

Review 23：The rooms were not very clean, nor the bathrooms. The shower curtain kept sticking to me and did not come all the way down, I had to use two towels to clean the floor for safety purposes. My biggest fault with this hotel was the lack of a second key. I do not care to have and feel it is ridiculous to ask the front desk clerk to let me into my own room, especially when other's are sleeping. It is creepy and uncomfortable.

Review 37：The hotel changed my 3 month-long confirmed and non-refundable bookingone day before arrival, for no adequate reason, claiming that they triedto call me the day before to verify my booking and I had not answeredthe phone. When I complained that I called them back and they did notpick up the phone and that, if for any reason there was a problem withmy booking, at the very least they should have tried contacting me viaemail to notify me, as is the standard procedure for Booking.com, theyjust denied I called and proceeded to send me an email that day,aftertheir call. From what I was told from locals, the hotel managementsometimes overbooks rooms, as it follows a non-refundable bookingpolicy, and when there are no cancellations of rooms, sends people toother hotels...

Review 85：The Wifi was poor in the room, good in the reception area. The room was clean but there was an excessive chlorine smell in the bathroom and the room itself, and no matter how you air the room the smell comes back after the staff making up the room. The breakfast was alright if you don't have high expectations, but definitely not the best on the island.

Review 86：The location is very good, right next to the central market, which takes you to the restaurants bars and main attractions in the city. The main bus stop is at walking distance if you plan to use public transport in the island.

Review 93：Leisure facilities maybe. Caught the sun on the terrace on the top of the hotel. Although the hotel is situated in the heart of Heraklion it's probably not that type of holiday area.

Review 94：My visit was due to an illness to my son. On 1st contact with reception was greeted by Nick. Can I say what an asset to the hotel he is. Pleasant, knowledgeable but more than that helpful. He helped me change to a balcony on the 2nd day & when I needed to extend the stay he sorted matters out. Furthermore, for a Greek he knew more about English history thAn we did lol. Location of the hotel is dead centre for shops, the front & restaurants.

Review 95：We stayed here at the start of our trip to Crete touring around on our own. It's location was really good as it was convenient to get here from the airport. We took a taxi but the Airport bus also goes through the square in front of the hotel. Great location for sightseeing too. A short walk to the Archaeological museum. Again the bus for Knossos also goes by the hotel. It was a short walk from an area of bars and restaurants which was really busy with locals. The hotel was very clean and the buffet breakfast was great

Review 98：My room smelt of cigaret smoke so bad to the point that I woke up thenext morning with a tight chest. When I brought this to the attention ofthe desk staff I was moved immediately to a "non smoking room"which had a used ashtray in the room on the bedside table. All nonsmoking rooms in this hotel apparently come with an ashtray for thebedside and one for the balcony. I'd definitely stay ther againbecause of how the staff delt with my room swap. The staff at this hoteland its location are its real asset.

Review 99：The location is perfect!!! Smack bang in the thick of it all. Woulddefinitely stay there again for a night (only) if I had some time tokill befor a flight or a boat trip etc.

Review 100：We found the staff very dismissive. Our balcony had not been cleaned and even after reporting this it was brushed but bird droppings left on the hand rail and air con unit. The hotel boasts that it overlooks a square but when you sit on the balcony you can only see the balcony wall. Although there was a wide choice of breakfast items these goods were of poor quality,particularly the coffee and powdered orange juice. There is a roof terrace but this is not promoted in any way and the furniture was old and in some cases broken. This area also needed cleaning up. Overall I would rate this hotel as 3 out of 10 and would definitely look elsewhere in future.
