Reviews for Andros Holiday Hotel
Review 1:nothing
Review 2:ferry will get you in too early, but you can dump your baggage and use hotel's pool or beach and sea (towels provided). 10 mins walk from town, but uphill and worth taking taxi (5e). Andros has less for tourists than some other islands, but I could happily have stayed longer in this hotel with no need to go out. view from bedroom balconies is superb. Hotel is clean, spacious, and everything works. Reception is friendly and helpful, and English spoken. Good place.
Review 3:The included pick-up service was not available, as there was no driver. Magically the bus moved anyway.. The beach was very rocky. As we asked for information about hiking, they showed us the internet corner. Afterwards we found out that there was an organized hiking group as well.
Review 4:Location was great, just a few minutes away from the towncenter. Breakfast was very good and offered a lot of variety, also fresh fruits. And the room was very with a lot of places to stow your stuff. The view is very beautiful!!
Review 5:Staff not very helpful - never replied to us if we could get a ride to the port upon departure, they didn't answer to our request through booking for a late departure but last minute asked us additional fee to use a room behind the reception and were not very tolerant towards little kids event though most clients when we were there were families with kids, swimming pool closed at 19:00 which is too early in summertime and playground was not well maintained, breakfast buffet could be better
Review 6:The location and the rooms
Review 7:The water coming out of the tap in the rooms was salty. That was unacceptable as we had to take bath with seawater every day. The response for the staff was that they are taking bath with the same water as well!! The breakfast was exactly the same every day and if you would go for breakfast towards the end of the time slot they wouldn't renew the food (so even less choices). Other than that, the rooms are very old-fashioned and they look so 60s. they even have some sort of in-built stereo sound system in the walls from past centuries which obviously was not working. All in all the hotel definitely does not worth the money it charges for its "services". Stay away.
Review 8:The view was nice but very overpriced.
Review 9:No complaints. Not brand spanking new, and not really luxurious, but that's not what you're looking for at this kind of price point.
Review 10:Really helpful, friendly staff, fantastic location above a private cove and beach, very quiet and relaxing.
Review 11:Room was not clean enough, smelly bathroom, poor breakfast, price not reflecting quality.
Review 12:Very easy to reach from Gavrio, very close to harbor and nice beach. Lifeguard at pool very nice and active with children.
Review 13:Pool and nearby private beach were not that clean. Really poor gardening making the exterior seem not taken care of, which is a pitty for a hotel that was refurbished a few years ago.
Review 14:Very friendly staff and good service. Nice breakfast. Very good location, only 5 minutes walk from the port, making this hotel ideal for those not traveling by car.
Review 15:Excellent location five minute walk from Gavrion town, lovely view and landscaping, friendly staff, sand and pebble beach, large pool, good breakfast.
Review 16:Beach area very small. Walk uphill from town but very short.
Review 17:Fabulous location with stunning views. Good breakfast selection. Spotless pool. Good restaurant and all staff very friendly. Comfy room with super patio area.
Review 18:A renovation would make it perfect.
Review 19:Location, conveniently close to the port, and at the same time isolated. Calm environment, ideal for relax. Great terrace for a cocktail during the sunset. Very friendly staff, high level of professionalism. Good breakfast.
Review 20:Bathrooms could use a renovation
Review 21:Perfect location near the best beaches of Andros, friendly staff, nice pool and small private beach, rooms with balcony facing the sea - really everything one could need for a nice holiday. A nice bonus was the delicious food (lunch and dinner) prepared by chef Chris - we ended up eating there most days, it was just that good! Special mention to Silvia and David, for the professional and friendly service - this really makes a big difference to a great holiday! All in all a great stay, would recommend for a care-free, 'do nothing' holiday...
Review 22:The noise passes through other rooms and sometimes this may be disturbing.
Review 23:Very good facilities, especially for someone who want to pass a relaxing weekend.( private beach, swimming pool and very good breakfast )
Review 24:fabulous location. Quiet, yet still only 5 minutes walk from Gavrio. Beautiful private beach, great pool, and really helpful, happy staff. Also has a tennis court! Not mentioned in the details...
Review 25:Just wished the pool stayed open later than 7:00
Review 26:The staff was so hospitable, helpful and professional. They strove to make you feel at home, and went the extra mile to help you navigate the island and access resources. The amenities made it the perfect place to stay for the end of our island hopping ( pool, beach, restaurant, cafe, etc) Easy walk to the port too, if you wanted a change of view.

Review 47:The sea view from our bed
Review 48:view, very nice facilities, clean bedrooms, good prices, nice food, good location, friendly staff, good value for money.
Review 49:Very friendly and helpful personnel at reception desk!
Review 50:The place has a potential which is not fully used. The bathrooms need to be refurbished. The breakfast should be better.
Review 51:Very good location and nice area around the hotel. Quiet and peaceful, great sea view from the rooms and restaurant. Very nice and helpful girl at the reception. The waitress Sylwia kind and professional.
Review 52:Some rehabilitation of the hotel is needed, but this is more a general condition for many hotels in Greece the recent years.
Review 53:Very helpful staff, nice (small) private beach, the breakfast, a short walk (a few minutes) to the port of Gavrio, where there are a few tavernas, coffe bars, ect. We love small fishing/ferry harbours with just the few tings you really need, and Gavrio is such a place.
Review 54:Spruce hotel, nice pool area, super views and public areas.Well located 10 mins walk from Gavrio, picked up from boat.Nice hotel, fried eggs and bacon at breakfast a real treat for 2 british travellers away from home for a month!
Review 55:Most rooms need renovation. Their condition is still acceptable, but at their limit of lifecycle.
Review 56:Very convenient location, good service, excellent view
Review 57:Unusually unclean (yet fairly recently renovated) rooms - Dettol had to be deployed in generous quantities. The hotel obviously suffers from bad management and on the whole gives a clear impression of being unkempt. Mediocre breakfast.
Review 58:Excellent location a short walk from picturesque Gavrio. Practically all rooms offer amazing views over the Aegean. Substantial if not very well maintained facilities, including a tiny but wonderful semi-private beach with crystal clear water and a huge pool with very good poolside restaurant for lunch.
Review 59:Loved the location rooms were clean bit dated but what we expected. Swimming pool good with pool bar. Hotel within walking distance to the port lovely taverns in the town great food at the hotel too, but not in the evening only up to 6pm.
Review 60:Too many rocks in the private beach for my liking but might suit others.
Review 61:Wonderful and helpful staff. The pool and private beach were an added bonus. Very close to the port, cafe and restaurants. The complimentary transfer to and from the port was very handy.
