Reviews for Hotel Atlantis

Review 1:Facilities are old, unluckily the guests next door kept talking until 3am, the wall is thin so I can hear the every single words.

Review 2:Close to port, if you arrive by ferries it will be easy access. Also ealking distance to old town.

Review 3:I wouldn't say that these are matters of dislike: the hotel needs a bit renovating, and the breakfast was pretty basic.

Review 4:The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and with a View. So it was a nice stay for me.

Review 5:The noise of the place was bad this time. Got no sleep and the reception of the TV was awful. I always stay here but this time it just seemed extremely noisy.

Review 6:The position in conjunction to the town is good and the port.

Review 7:The food we had was good, but the dinner menu was disappointing.

Review 8:Lovely, friendly helpful staff. Really comfortable beds. clean, well presented bedroom.

Review 9:Traffic noise can be annoying but little hotel can do about this.

Review 10:The staff are soooo helpful. This was a return vist for us and the service offered was just as good. Rooms have been upgraded and beds are comfortable. The hotel is ideal for onward port travel.

Review 11:The hotel could do with being modernised but for the price it was excellent and clean

Review 12:I booked this hotel due to the location. I was due to meet my husbands cruise liner the flowing morning unfortunately due to weather this wasn't possible, the staff could not do enough to hele and my young son get back home after our disappointment.

Review 13:There was a power cut in Corfu Town which left us with no air-conditioning for hours....

Review 14:It's location next to the port as we were using the ferry next day.

Review 15:Near the port and clean nothing else!!

Review 16:Location is this hotel only good point! Near to the port. Clean and nice room but needs updating badly! Staff very nice but distant they could be a little more friendly. Got a feeling that one was tolerated rather than a guest and very dear in value for what you got and the breakfast was separate and too high priced should be included, so not good value for money like the rest of Corfu too expensive!!!

Review 17:A very busy road where the hotel is located ruined pleasure of staying on the room's balkoon.

Review 18:The hotel is situated very closed to a harbour. We had a ferry next day so it was very handy. Nice view from the room.

Review 19:Corfu town had a lengthy power cut and the hotel had no back up power, so no air conditioning as well as lights etc.

Review 20:Excellent location for the ferry port. Lovely helpful staff.Good breakfast options and able to fet a meal very late.

Review 21:That was the worst experience ever. Because of the ferry we were supposed to come very early, about 6 am. So I booked a room from the day before to get checked in immediately on arrival. I also emailed the hotel about our arrival time explaining everything. Why they decided to cancel my booking is totally beyond me. As a result, my friends had to wait for at least an hour to get another room, I had to spend half an hour on the phone sorting things out with the manager who simply would not listen, but guess what? They still charged that day.

Review 22:That was the worst experience ever.

Review 23:It is in the perfect location for the Ferries to Igoumanitsa. It was an excellent quiet place to pitch down after a flight from UK. Felt refreshed and ready to go in the morning.

Review 24:during four days a few time we request to change with front view room at least for last night, each time they said ok but couldnt...

Review 25:location is good , not in the old centre but it easy to reach a nice and short walking. staff , very friendly . there are some caffee, bar and, restaurants around. and close the port. the room was sufficient.

Review 26:You have a balcony but cannot fully enjoy it because there is a bad smell in Corfu, specially the port area.

Review 27:One of the receptionists (the guy with glasses) is very friendly.

Review 28:We booked a room with a sea view and emphasized it When we arrived the receptionist was ready with an answer immediately began to attack that there are only room with a mountain view (She was referring to the apartments it found 10 meters across the street ...) Ugly behavior of the hotel owner and his daughter We were after a sleepless night carrying suitcases so we stayed one night Room. Poor and not like the pictures, very dangerous elevator without a door !!! And we have a gift. Half a bottle of water in the fridge ...

Review 29:Staff were friendly and allowed us to leave our bags there on the day of departure even though we weren't staying there then. Rooms are basic but clean and good value. Located on a busy road but didn't hear it with windows closed and the air con on. Would stay there again for a one nighter

Review 30:We would have liked breakfast included in the price. All the other hotels we have stayed at in Corfu it was included.

Review 31:The view, the proximity to the ferry, friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Review 32:Mattress of the bed is very non-comfortable. I stayed 2 night and could sleep well for 2 nights. If you are with a small child and go out with a stroller, the way to the old city is a challenge. Complicated A/C units.

Review 33:It is near the Port which makes it easy to access if you travel via ferry-boat. Staff is friendly and speak English very well. Very easy to get out of the city if you have a car.

Review 34:Outside noise day and night : car traffic if you are on the sea side, ferries, airplanes... The double bed was small and not comfortable. Nothing is appealing in this hotel except the price and availability. We didn't take the breakfast since it was expensive and had bad reviews already.

Review 35:Relatively cheap for Corfu Town. Location near the port makes it a decent place if you're in transit. The room was clean.

Review 36:The breakfast is pathetic and very expensive. The cheapest is 8 euros and only one cup of no-name,non drinkable taste instant coffee.a few days old stale &smelly boiled egg. I had to return it.its high risk for food poison.breakfast staff is horribly rude. Especially the old lady in charge in the bar. You better never try the breakfast in here. Outside many places offer real breakfast with real coffee and 5 euros only . Keep away from this so called breakfast . You very likely could get food poison.and waste of your minimum 8 euros

Review 37:Harbour View from the balcony .nice & helpful reception and room mate staff .rooms are large , high ceiling, no noise and comfortable bed. Worth for money

Review 38:Noisy air conditioning, ugly and plain looking, next to the road so really noisy with the window open, breakfast was plain and expensive

Review 39:Near the port, comfortable room, bar with terrace outside

Review 40:Excellent location, perfect for ferry & the delights of old town Corfu. Friendly staff, clean & on fortune. Taxi from the door to the airport made it an excellent end to our holiday.

Review 41:Small lift? A bit slow but hey I really am struggling to find a bad point.

Review 42:Location is perfect for Port and is 10 mins from the old town. The breakfast esp the 'Healthy Breakfast' is simply brilliant and value for money.

Review 43:Just a little noisy; our room was located to the front of the hotel and although it is set back, the port road is very busy even late at night.

Review 44:Friendly helpful staff, a good standard of cleanliness and facilities in room i.e. A/C, hairdryer, spacious well equipped bathroom and comfy bed.

Review 45:We paid for a double room but they gave us a tiny single room (about 10 square meters, one small bed for two). When we complained the receptionist said he can't do anything and he lied to us saying that this is the normal size of a double room. I called booking.com the same evening and complained there, 10 minutes later the hotel offered us free breakfast... The normal double rooms seem to be beautiful since we saw them the next day through an open door... The hotel obviously overbooked and tricked us. Breakfast wasn't more than average the next day...

Review 46:Near to the port

Review 47:Lot of traffic underneath, you need to close the Windows in the night. Air conditioning compensates!

Review 48:Everything good... Position, staff, breakfast, cleaning.. We liked it and we recommend it

Review 49:A little noisy, but not too much. By trial and experiment we realized that the air conditioning doesn't work until you close the window/balcony door. Its not written on the air conditioning instructions

Review 50:Very friendly staff Excellent breakfast Good location Cleanliness was excellent and housekeeping was immaculate

Review 51:Only thing was that the luggage storage didn't seem supervised. Could be nice to have it secured somehow.

Review 52:Everything was great! Nice balcony and view, the room was perfect and the staff was very helpful. Convenient for the port and quiet because just outside the center of town. It's not fancy or romantic or anything, but just completely comfortable and pleasant.

Review 53:We would not spend our vacation here. it is very average. We have only booked it cause the harbor is across the street and we were leaving very early next day. But we knew that.

Review 54:If you are a boat this is the right place to be. it is just across the harbor. And it is very near to the old town

Review 55:Dingy back room with incredibly dated fixtures and fittings. Tired (almost bored) reception staff. Too much money for quality compared with other places we stayed in.

Review 56:Comfortable bed. Easy walking distance to town to escape!

Review 57:room is very small, bathroom is small and depressing, shower cracked and mould on the wall. Staff is friendly, breakfast is not included. the hotel is ok for 1 night, but definetely I would not recommend it for any longer

Review 58:location, right in front of the ferry area, for me was convenient as I had a ferry transfer the following morning. For a longer stay it is not nice, as area is noisy and sad

Review 59:Easy walking distance into Corfu Town Ideal position in the new port (ferry boat) Five minutes walk to the "Green ligne buses of Corfu" Delicious breakfast Really good value for money

Review 60:An elderly woman in resespjonen was directly unfriendly and it did not seem like she wanted to have anything to do with the guests. If a little girl smiles at you, you smile back! Some rooms needed renovation, found among other mold in the shower in one bathroom. Unfortunately got served one of the worst pizzas I've tasted in the Restaurant attached to the hotel. Very sad, it seemed that they had thawed a frozen mass produced pizza.

Review 61:All in all an above-average 2-star hotel, simply furnished, clean and most staff were pleasant. Walking distance to Old Town.

Review 62:The location of the hotel is erroneously positioned on hotel's site map. The coffee served in the lobby-bar is distasteful.

Review 63:The personnel speak very good english and are really very polite and helpful. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Decent air-conditioner.

Review 64:In the booking confirmation it said it is a room with balcony, but it wasn't.

Review 65:Good location for taking the ferry the next day. Nice restaurant within 5 minutes walk.

Review 66:A very well run and efficient hotel; this was our second stay and it is a great place to stay. Great view of the port and coastline of Corfu and mainland Greece. Easy walking distance into Corfu Town.

Review 67:There was nothing to dislike

Review 68:The Location as it was across the road from the hydrof .we stayed in the Hotel for one night as a stop over & we would definitely stay again next year . The Staff were very friendly & more than happy to help . The Food was perfect for ourselves & the Children . Perfect Hotel for traveling quests to different destination s .

Review 69:Very close to the main road and some rooms had no view

Review 70:small baloney in some rooms and staff were friendly . It was very close to port for us to get the ferry to Albania.

Review 71:I could not find a way to work the air conditioning.

Review 72:The staff were very friendly and the location - near to the old town and bus station were perfect for me.

Review 73:Am a regular visitor to the hotel it is ideal for my purpose. It is s fairly modest establishment and6 does not pretend to be otherwise. The staff are wonderful, cheerful, very helpful and efficient. I have stayed at the Atlantis almost 20 times and do not stay anywhere else in Corfu. I will continue to stay there.

Review 74:Unpleasant lady member of staff Also bedside locker had graffiti on the inside of the drawer ( which may have been quite lewd)

Review 75:Location Terrace bar/ restaurant Really nice man checked us in

Review 76:Would really like mattress protectors over mattresses. Everything else was good value for money.

Review 77:For budget stay Atlantis is perfect being opposite port, taxi rank with another rank within minutes and the major bus station. Under 10 minutes walk alon seaside into old town. Staff were helpful which was nice as travelling solo. Nice breakfast out in the breeze and snack indoors. Bar. Sea view from balcony.

Review 78:We stayed here as it was conveniently close to the harbour. We arrived by ferry from Paxos and had to fly out the next morning. But the location is also good for visiting the old city, approx. ten minutes walking.

Review 79:A staff member was rude to friends of us when they canceled their room; they wouldn't allow a friend to use our shower.

Review 80:Lovely views from the balcony, affordable, short walk from the centre; some of the staff are lovely.

Review 81:The location of the hotel was very convenient, as we were able to walk with our luggage to the ferry port. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

Review 82:Comfortable hotel, neat, tidy and friendly staff. We were close enough to walk through corfu town and old town, as well as to the port for our ferry.

Review 83:Nothing.

Review 84:We booked the hotel as it is close to the head office for the ferry to Albania. The staff are very friendly. The room seemed quiet, but we arrived at midnight and left at 8am so we only experienced a drink there and across the road.

Review 85:Just across from the port, the hotel always provides a friendly welcome and clean room. The hotel provides good value for money for an overnight stop/transfer. Have used a number of times and will happily use again.

Review 86:Very hot in the hole ways, restaurant downstairs is not good. Bathroom is too small and beds are not comfortable.

Review 87:Nicely located, nice view, reasonably clean.

Review 88:Friendly staff, clean room. Mattress on the edge to the hard side but manageable. Free WiFi. Basic hotel, but you get what you pay for. Close to the ferry office if you need to collect tickets to Albania. But from the ticket office to the Saranda ferry it’s around 700 meters to walk. (If you have issues to walk in the heat)

Review 89:No inner door on lift. Possible to catch yourself on passing wall etc. A bit dangerous for children particularly. We had no trouble ourselves.

Review 90:Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 91:The decor and furnishings were a little tired and dated but reasonable for the price. And we only had a shower which is tricky when bathing a baby.

Review 92:Travelling with a toddler and a baby is never easy and even harder when the ferry arrives at 5 am. The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to leave our bags with them and to check in earlier than usual. Our request for a cot in the room was granted. Everything was clean and tidy. Location is very good and only a 10 minute walk into the old town.

Review 93:Nothing

Review 94:We arrived a 5.15am - well before our checkin time. They had a room available but not a balcony room but we took it gratefully. We went out for the day after a few hours sleep and arriving back to the hotel a 4pm they told us that they had changed our room to a balcony room and moved our belongings. Everything was just as we had left them in the old room. Excellent service.

Review 95:not applicable

Review 96:Location overlooking Corfu port, watching all the ferries, and liners coming and going, and all the general activity of the port itself, and the lovely views of the mountains and hills.

Review 97:Room air con was as good as useless so room very very warm

Review 98:Situated right on the seafront opposite the new port and ferries to Paxos Staff very welcoming - expect visitors to waiting for ferries Prepared to serve food and drinks at midnight on arrival Very good breakfast Basic but clean Very good VFM

Review 99:The pillow was too high for me.

Review 100:I liked the friendly staff and the view of the ferry port and mountain from our room. The old town was within walking distance.

Review 101:Couldnt really fault it - have stayed in many hotels and apartments throughout the Greek Islands over the years and the Atlantis is certainly one of the nicest.

Review 102:Walking distance to Ferry Port & Bus station. Close proximity to Airport. Clean and pleasant room with fridge. Very attentive and helpfull staff. Great watching cruise liners and ferries come and go from balcony!

Review 103:Under the flying path of airplanes and near busy road.

Review 104:Great location if you travel to and / or from the port, bus station or airport. Very helpful staff !

Review 105:Compared to other hotels on Corfu this one is lacking!

Review 106:Stayed overnight to catch ferry next morning, because wasn't sure about ferry times buying tickets etc, fine for overnight stay but that is it. Breakfast is good.

Review 107:During my stay it was very noisy - not from the street (if you close the balcony, it's OK), but within hotel - due to paper walls I've heard everything from next rooms till very late night :(

Review 108:Location of the hotel is really good, within walking distance from the old city; harbour view is nice as well. Staff in the hotel is really friendly and ready to help with any questions. Suitable for short stay after arrival to Corfu city or before departure, if you need shower, bed, pillow and info at the reception:)

Review 109:My only negative comment would be the mattresses, very hard and uncomfortable.

Review 110:The location is very close to the ferry port, ideal for transit. The view from the front is fantastic looking over the ferry port and mainland Greece. The staff are very helpful and courteous. English breakfast good.

Review 111:Room was at front on main road and consequently was noisy through the night. We had requested a quiet room.

Review 112:We have stayed here several times "en passant" and are always made welcome. I have no doubt had we stayed longer, they would have sorted the room problem.

Review 113:I would like a fresh cotton blanket rather than a bedspread as I am never sure how often they are washed... but that's just me.

Review 114:Lovely obliging staff were fantastic. Waterfront view of sea and Greek mainland. Overall nice and clean. Great for catching ferry to Paxos especially as we had much luggage.

Review 115:Its location for the ferry and at the edge of town is great for what I needed. I stayed in a room overlooking the sea in March. No issue with noise at this time of year.

Review 116:Heater / AirCon didn't work. Walls are so thin you can hear your neighbours talking. Room stank of cigarette smoke, and so did the blankets.

Review 117:Super easy to find when getting off the ferry at Corfu Town

Review 118:Not many facilities nearby (ie restaurants/ cafes) that were open in off-season. Hotel didn't have any maps available. Staff were very friendly but not very knowledgable.

Review 119:Close to the port - ideal for catching ferries early the next morning. Easily accessible from the airport by catching the bus to the port and walking for 10mins to hotel. Approx 10-15min walk around to the Old Town. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Room was clean and comfortable. Great balcony view to the sea.

Review 120:Warm welcome from hotel staff. The hotel is clean and well located for using the ferries/port. Beer, coffee and wi-fi all good. Have stayed before, will stay again.

Review 121:Nothing....could have had tea/coffee facilities in room but the caf'e bar open all day

Review 122:The room I had was 100% there was a quiet area/lounge ares a small caf'e bar and all very helpful

Review 123:Nothing. Have used this hotel a good few times and will use again in the future.

Review 124:Location Close to local transport Close to domestic port close to taxi rank close to major and city bus routes Rooms are clean and comfortable Friendly, helpful staff

Review 125:Mattresses too hard, problem with lift when we arrived - lift also a bit small. Whilst it was 100metres from ferry port (as described) it was much further away from cruise port & we needed a taxi to transfer luggage.

Review 126:Friendliness & helpfulness of staff.

Review 127:The mattresses are thin, so they are not overly comfortable.

Review 128:The friendliness of the staff is always welcoming. After hours of travel it is always nice to come to the Atlantis for our stopover. So far this year we have stayed there 4 times. It is within walking distance to the domestic port and a short taxi ride to the international port. The location is good for the stroll to the shopping area, and restaurants. The restaurant on site is also good, offering patio seating as well as inside casual area and a more "formal" dining room.

Review 129:Hotel location is not in attractive neighbourhood. Not good choice for tourists for longer stay , hotel doesn't have a swimming pool. poor value for money for solo traveler.

Review 130:Strong wi-fi. 15min. walk to ferry terminal, good balcony with light.proximity of 'green' bus station. could be good for 1 night stay.

Review 131:Great location when arriving off ferry from mainland Greece.5 minute walk and you are in old town.Staff friendly and efficient.Excellent room rate and will definitely return.

Review 132:All ok

Review 133:Perfect for our needs with a very impressive full breakfast, didn't need to eat again til the evening! Staff were so helpful, we would stay there again for the night before catching a ferry.

Review 134:We paid 600 euro (5 nights) for interconnected rooms for a family offour. The bathroom showers were so small and restricted. The wholeplace was so out of date. We notified the staff that the airconditioner was leaking but nothing was done to it during our stay. Allthe beds were so hard and the pillows were so thin everyday we woke upwith sore neck & back. Corfu island is very expensive compared toother places in Greece.

Review 135:Nothing at all.
