Guesthouse Ethrion sells fast on our site. Set on a pedestrian street in a historic location, the family-run Ethrion is 500 feet from Ermoupolis Port and the main square. Boasting a sunny setting, it has a 3-level courtyard and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a furnished balcony or terrace.
A flat-screen TV, a kettle and a fridge are included in all rooms at the Ethrion. Each has a private bathroom with bath or shower. A hairdryer and a safety deposit box are provided. The rooms offer Aegean Sea, town or garden views.

Review 1：It's a bit of tricky to find the hotel by car, as the hotel street is pedestrian, so you should call the manager once you're at the port and he's coming to get you.

Review 2：Great hotel - we will definitely chose it again, if we go to Siros. The room was great - spacious, clean, totally new, and with amazing views from the window - to the city and from the romantic terrace - to the sea port. The manager is very nice and helpful. Very centrally located, less than a 7 minutes walk from the port, in a very picturesque area.

Review 3：George was there to greet us. Perfect location to get to the old city, restaurants, lanes, ferry and shopping. The city only has a few roads to get ready to walk and do stairs. We want to go back.

Review 4：The room was very spacious and the view from both balconies and windows was amazing. Most of the upper floors rooms have great views of the town and the harbor/sea. A major plus was, also the quality of the doors and windows that would keep out any unwanted noise (this came handy since there was major construction around the harbor).

Review 7：Unlike advertised on booking.com, there are no bikes! No frying pans or spatulas in kitchen, cooking a meal is not encouraged. Though it was perfect for boiling an egg, making tea and coffee (proper machine and water kettle at hand) and preparing sandwiches

Review 10：The hotel was in a great location, there was a magnificent view of the port from the balcony, it was exceptional value for money and the owner was so friendly and helpful.

Review 11：George the owner was a mine of information. He took a long time to explain all about the island; where to go; how to get around. He was brilliant and his wife was also charming, when we checked out.

Review 12：Not all the rooms in this hotel have balcony or terrace, and not all of them have view! We stayed in the "underground" studio at the back of the hotel...no balcony and view of the wall across. Kitchen without cooking facilities!

Review 21：Ethrion is a family "hotel". The owners are great and generous! I was travelling alone and George (the owner) explained to me how and where to go to different beautiful places in Syros. His son, Dimitri, was so nice! He wanted to do is best to help me found what I was looking for... I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cosy place near the port and the buses.

Review 22：The place was newly refurbished and our room was nicely laid out and had an amazing view of the sea. The owner took some time to explain to us everything about the island of Syros and gave us really good recommendations on what to do, where to go and what to see.

Review 23：The only fault I have which is a mater of personal preference anyway, is that the pillow was slightly high. However, having said that the bed was very comfortable.

Review 24：The location in the town was convenient, Ermoupolis is a beatifull town. The building and the room were built and furnished to an excellent standard. The room was very clean and maintained so on daily basis with provision of fresh towels. The room even included a safe for our belongings and the view from the balcony was excellent (across town to the dome or Agios Georgios).

Review 25：There is a way of getting to the Ethrion without having to negotiate the steps, important to know if you have heavy luggage. Giorgios marked this out for me on the map but maybe he could put these details on his website.

Review 26：A very comfortable room with excellent shower room/bathroom. A great retreat after exploring the town. Just sit on the balcony and look out to sea and the islands of Mykonos and Tinos in the distance.

Review 32：The hotel is perfectly located just minutes from the port and in a fantastic part of town. The rooms are newly renovated (my room was spotless and looked like it had never been used it was so perfect) and the view from the upper floors are excellent. The owner, George, and his family make a wonderful place even better. They're incredibly warm and welcoming people with great tips on what to do in town and on the island. My stay was short, but memorable. I hope to visit again.

Review 56：Only one bedside table and reading light only on this night table. Soonly one guest can put his water glass etc. next to the bed. A weak lampand a noisy air cleaner in the bathroom.

Review 57：Realistic and fair prices in times of crisis. Hotel centrally located ina very quiet area 300 m from the Central Square (Town Hall sq) and about150 m from the sea front (250 m from the Blue Star ferries peer). Nicelarge rooms with lovely balconies/terraces and beautiful view. (Seaview costs 8 € per night more.) Very friendly and helpful owner. Afterthe WiFi (WLan) didn't work in our room (it worked in other areas ofthe hotel, E. G. in the front yard) I was provided with a cable to getwired. Special mention to the leveled terraces that form the front andback yards and are fully equipped with sitting arrangements. The one infront, in the entrance, welcomes the guests with a fragrant jasminetree, as for the latter, it is always shaded by a vine pergola.

Review 58：Nothing. If you arrive with a lot of baggage, be aware that you have toclimb a few stairs. Georgios will however show you a way around most ofthe stairs, very helpful whith a trolley case...

Review 59：There's only good to say about Ethrion. We were greated by Georgios,the owner, who gave us a map of Syros and all information we needed forour stay. The room was cosy and spacious, and we had two balconies witha beautiful view. Everything was very clean. Would definitely recommendit and go there again!

Review 60：Nothing, though we would have like chairs and table on both balconies, but that's not a complaint. Be aware that you have to climb a few stairs to get to Ethrion (helps keep you fit :-), but you can also walk zigzag where the motorcycles go.

Fortunately, because we use balconies a lot and the one here with magnificent views could sometimes be a bit windy and sometimes a little hot because of the sun. Then we could move to the other. Georgio, the owner, started out with a small "guided tour" on the Syros map, which was extremely helpful. He was also kind and helpful whenever we needed help. We would go back here. Very clean and we had everything we needed.

Review 62：The hotel is in a great location up a few flight of stairs but close to the heart of the town, far away not to be noisy, the owner was very friendly and helpful, the rooms have lovely balconies with furniture looking over the lovely town, I would stay there again
