Review 1：Not welcoming staff. They asked advance payment for 2 nights and the party. Room was unclean. No towel. No soap.

Review 2：Sea breeze hôtel forced us to participate at the New Year Party (3000 rupies extra charge). This was not clearly mentioned by Booking.com Hotel refuses to apply a discount or to cancel our participation. It's very irritating. Booking.com didn't clearly mention the obligation to participate and pay to new year party.

Review 3：Staff do not perceive things which need doing and have to asked or told by management every step of the way. We have visited this place previously - 20 years ago it was running down and in January 2015 the process had continued, with few improvements or upgradings, In December 2015, our latest visit, the TVs in at least some rooms had moved into the 21st century and there had been a few minor cosmetic improvements, but overall it continues to age unabated. The seafront restaurant, with a few easy bits of work could be THE place to eat in Mamallipuram, but the decrepit fence and dirty beach frontage mar a potentially world class view. Other parts of the buildings and pool decay. Better management of staff, expecting more multi-tasking rather than sitting about, could improve things a lot.

Review 6：Excellent location. Love the sculptures on the grounds of the hotel. Spacious accommodation for the price. Nice pool, has all the facilities.

Review 7：The place is in a great location (for which it overcharges) and has oodles of potential. A relatively small investment of money and effort could make it very good. Instead it is run down with rusting stair handrails, decrepit wooden steps, a potentially good but disgustingly presented breakfast in an atmosphere-free environment, a closed bar full of redundant/broken furniture. The pool looks good superficially until you discover the scumline round the water's edge and too few wooden sunbeds, most in need of repair. True they put disinfecting chemicals into the water at the end of each day, but the pool does not appear to be properly cleaned (a relatively simple job, but nobody does it) or to have a circulating water system. Note that the " sea view" rooms, (at significantly higher price) do actually have a view of the sea but are set very well back from it. The best value are the mid-range rooms overlooking the pool. Ours was quite large and, compared with other parts of the hotel, pretty clean.

Review 8：Staff were pleasant enough but inefficient and poorly managed, failing miserably to see (or be told) all the jobs they could and should be doing instead of hanging around or trying to wheedle tips.

Review 9：Rooms were dark, shabby, dirty, in state of disrepair & below standard. Bathrooms ditto. Appliances totally outdated & badly in need of re-furbishment. Hot water supply a major difficulty. Rooms not cleaned by 17:00h & only after requesting cleaning service, fresh towels could not be supplied before early evening. WiFi vouchers supplied with only 12 hours validity, but access to net practically not possible - even with voucher. Breakfast has to be improved; black coffee was a bowl of instant coffee granules with hot water from an urn. Hotel, in our view, does not merit 3 star rating in any way.

Review 10：Nothing springs to mind; having travelled through Kerala & Tamil Nadu for approx. 2 weeks & having stayed in a variety of hotels & home stays, this was THE worst - and most expensive.

Review 11：Room service is very pathetic, i was made to wait for a pillow for my extra bed from 8:45 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Repeated calls and follow up calls went in vain.
