Review 1：Priority for foreign tourists @ the restaurant; domestic tourist requests are almost ignored.

Review 3：My only advice to budget-minded travelers is to skip the hotel's friendly but expensive car-booking service and walk out to the main road to hail a tuk tuk.

Review 4：Ideal Beach Resort is amazing. Clean, friendly and comfortable - private beach, lovely restaurant, nice pool. Guests are a mix of Indian and Western families so the vibe is lovely. A great place to stay for a few nights of relative luxury in a larger trip around Tamil Nadu.

Review 5：The room. Different one from what I was booked by photos. Small, not new, noisy. Interruptions of electricity flow during evening time. The price is very high for everything, like its a 5stars hotel in big european city, but is is just a village in India with appropriate level of servise, nothing else. 9000 irps for one night for the small room.

Review 8：The staff- welcoming, cooperative and helpful. Due to changes in our plans we had to leave the hotel earlier. Mr. Peaul did his ulmost to release us from our commitment to the hotel. He called booking.com and arranges it. He was great. The open areas are well kept.

Review 9：Doors could be better adjusted to avoid mosquitoes to make their way into the bedroom. A tad remote from Mahabalipuram town centre, but not really that a problem. If you book a car through the hotel to Kanjeepuram, the driver will take you to all the possible' so called' silk factories.

Review 10：Friendliness of staff. Large room. Good aircon. Quiet. Pretty clean beach for Indian standard.The restaurant is really good.

Review 11：The facilities are a little old and worn, this includes the bathrooms even in the so-called deluxe rooms and also just some of the "communal" areas like the chaise longues around the pool and things like that. Considering this aspect, we didn't find the value for money balance quite right at least not at peak-season prices.

Review 19：Jacuzzi bath tub had green mould where water comes out. It's not hotels fault as it's due to salt water but regular cleaning can prevent this.

Review 22：The personal attention paid by the owners to our comfort, we have been in and out of the hotel many years ago and visited again to indulge in some nostalgia, we were so pleased when the owner during his regular rounds recognized us after so many years. Review 25：Stayed for a day and spent this day for our 10th wedding anniversary, which was a memorable experience. First, I would say it's a safe place, second the staffs. Whom so ever I approached they were very friendly with "smile". This day was made special with the all the request I asked for, 1. Delicious heart shape cake for the celebration 2. Request for the bath tub for my son ? who didn't allow us to enter in ;-) and 3. Check out extension. Place was very well maintained and clean. It was all a wonderful experience. Review 27：we received a wonderful welcome on arrival and were thrilled with our room, which had a view of the beach. The resort has great facilities, wonderful pool and fabulous restraunt All of the staff were exceptional and the resort has a wonderful relaxing ambience Amazingly within a couple of days we were offered an upgrade to a beautiful sea view suite with a number of complementary meals and wine and fruit baskets. Nothing was too much trouble and any request was accomodated immediately. Our stay was fabulous and would highly reccommend this resort and the surrounding beaches and superb local attractions.

Review 28：The location wasn't very good. Not sure how safe the place is since it was very dark outside the resort on the road. We had to leave on an emergency and so couldn't get to spend much time there. Food was costly though

But, this should not have happened in the first place. 2) Our room had problems getting hot water but later it was resolved. On the second day, water pressure was low due to plumbing work. Such problems should not happen in a premium resort.

Review 35：A lot of the resort was a little, to very dated! Some rooms have been refurbished, the first one we were shown was obviously about to be 'done' and was very tired looking! We asked to be moved! The staff were a bit haphazard, even the good ones, waiters etc seemed to lose the plot on occasions, very strange! We think it was a result of being the end of the season!

Review 37：The hotel is a wonderful place, the atmosphere is relaxing and the hotel i situated at a beautiful spot next to the beach side in Mahabalipuram. The staff is very friendly and service minded. The kitchen is excellent both the a la carte menu and the buffet. Kitchen is a great mix between good Indian cooking some Europeanand Sri lankan dishes also. Room are great and the pool also. This was my first visit to Ideal Beach resort, it was my husbands second visit, we will definitely come back again.
