Review 2：Incredible location on the harbour at the front and the sea at the back and very close to all amenities and dining. Small private beach area. Lovely room with sea view.

Review 7：We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Hermes. Really nice hotel in a great location overlooking the harbor and near to everything you need. Excellent breakfast and great room with large bathroom and balcony. There is also a small, quiet beach at the back which is great for swimming! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely like to return one day:)

Review 8：Front rooms facing the port can be a little noisy, if possible try to book on the ocean side.

Review 9：Conveniently located between the main town and the beach at Vaporia, both about 5 min walk. Also lovely swimming spot straight off the end of the hotel. It has many of the advantages of staying at Vaporia without the same high price tag. I had a lovely stay.

Review 16：I was amazed that there wasn't at least one welcome bottle of potable water in the refrigerator. One cannot drink the tap water on the islands. A good hotel should provide a bottle every day, but if that is considered very expensive (max.price for a ltr is 1euro) at least a welcome bottle should be there.

Review 17：I loved my room by the sea. It was lovely to go to sleep listening to the waves! It is also close to the main shopping centre and tavernas of Ermoupolis and gladly there is no walking uphill. There is a small beach close by for a dip in the sea. The staff is very polite and helpful.

Review 21：- location, location, location! Hermes is one of the very few hotels in Syros which offers perfect views. Originally I thought that the best rooms were at the front, but then I had a look at the rooms at the back. They are great too! - I had not realised that at the back there is a small pebble beach. Although very small and rough, it is perfect if one has suitable sea shoes! The sea is very clean. - I also had not realised that one can have dinner or lunch at the back of the hotel... Perfect for people who do not wish or do not want to move. - My husband got ill and spent two days in the Syros hospital. It was important to us then to have a comfortable room and everything close by. Hermes was the best hotel for this. I particularly recommend it for solo tourists or older couples that do not see adventures as part of their holidays!

Review 22：Could definitely qualify for 4-star status with some minor refurbishment to the rooms. Still, the atmosphere was charming. Wifi signal poor in some areas. Breakfast area could be neater and displayed better - not cluttered and stacked haphazardly

Review 25：Lovely and not too crowded island. Hermoupolis old, cozy and with opportunities for teenagers and parents. Room not too big, but sufficient. Spacious balcony overlooking the bustling and quaint waterfront and the sea. Bath OK. Good standard buffet breakfast, served either overlooking the sea or the harbor at sidewalk cafe. Bar / lobby with large TV for the World Cup. Swimming possible from small rocky beach behind the hotel, but the town beach with concrete platforms close, clear water.
