Review 1：Noisy room with restaurant directly below.Complicated parking with not enough places for the guests. Hosts OK but compared to other hotels less attentive.

Review 9：Everything! The location right in front of the harbour and in the center! The room was big and with a pleasant sea view. Had a large balcony and enough facilities four our stay. Had a delicious dinner at the restaurant of the hotel.

Review 17：Hotel Pop, what a gem!!We really can't fault this hotel.From the first email to confirm their airport shuttle to all the handshakes to say goodbye.The hotel is just as described, and an interesting design and the photos a good likeness to the place. We liked it for its individuality.All the hotel staff including the shuttle driver we're lovely and friendly and all so helpful.The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room service very good and unobtrusive, always leaving a clean and tidy room with clean towels every day. The a/c very efficient and operated and controlled in the room itself. Large comfortable bed.The view from the room (room 53) was lovely, looking out over the harbour and quiet. There was a little sound once or twice wafting up from the restaurant but it wasn't unpleasant and had gone quiet by the time we turned out the lights. I would ask for the same room if I returned, which I would love to do one day.we had planned to eat in different restaurants each evening (we were staying 7 nights) but only managed this once as we could not drag ourselves away from the restaurant at Hotel Pop. The food was amazing!! And the restaurant deserves a review all of it's own. I can not imagine having a bad meal there and once again the friendly and efficient service. Some of the staff have limited English but as we were in their country we felt the fault lay with us not speaking Italian and vowed to learn some before our next visit. The staff were very patient with us and we always mangaged to communicate in the end.The area itself is very peaceful and felt very safe.I would not hesitate to travel as a lone female to this area. Not the place if you are looking for a hectic nightlife (we weren't) but great for eating out with several places to choose from....if you can ever tear yourself away from Hotel Pop, the food really is excellent.We can't praise this place enough and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if we...

Review 18：The hotel has a perfect location, close to the beach and the port of Cala Gonone. The promenade with the bars and restaurants are also just a few minutes walking distance. The stuff was very friendly and helpful at the check in and check out, and during our stay they granted any our extra request. The breakfast was not ordinary, it was rich and delicious, with several type of local goods.

Review 29：It’s hard to get a grasp on defining the Pop, think restaurant with rooms and proper late 80s, early 90s kitsch. The reception is reached through the restaurant and the rooms are on the upper floors. Our room was very spacious and accommodated 3 persons (even though we were just 2), it had a lovely small wooden balcony with bang on vistas to Cala Gonone’s port and the sea. It’s very well located within Cala’s and with reasonable parking on the street. But the centerpiece of the Pop is without any shadow of a doubt it’s restaurant. The best meals we had in Sardinia, Italy and quite possible in any hotel restaurant ever. Prices are not quite affordable but are very worthy, you leave the restaurant craving for more days in the Pop so that you can manage more meals there. We recommend the seafood pasta specialties, specially the Chef’s Seafood Ravioli.

Review 33：The location is wonderful and Cala Gonone is a marvellous place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good, breakfast rich enough. The room is clean and looks like the pictures. Our room had a terrace which was very nice - good for relaxation and dinners.

Review 34：The only negative was the noise, for one or two nights it's ok but wouldn't stay here for 2 weeks. The walls are thin so it depends on who you get next to you or in the rooms above, we got lucky, the food made up for the noise!

Review 40：Italian breakfast is not my style, so you just have to get used to it. If you do not expect a scandinavian breakfast, you will appreciate six different sorts of cakes (!), and some fruit, yogurt, white bread and lovely italian coffee.

Review 41：Perfect location, lots of beaches and lovely restaurants, all within walking distance. The hotel is located right in the harbour, where they offer lots of boat trips. I recommend to hire your own boat, the boat trips get too crowded by tourists. Sardinians are really nice people:-)!

Review 43：Our family enjoyed this hotel. It is quite old but but nice in my opinion. The room ok, breakfast nothing special. Localization and view very good. The town is small so everyting is in walking distance. The parking is also good thing.

Review 45：Hi)) I booked the room in this hotel 2 days before the check-in not even reading the information about it and I was impressed! The location is wonderful: very close to the port (there are a lot of little offices that propose trips on boards to different beach), local beaches, shops and cafes. One of the great plus of this hotel is the restaurant on the ground floor. The food is extremely tastful!!!! But the most important aspect is the staff! The personnel is heplful, very nice, polite and hospitable! I've come there after a long 4-hour trip by car and was extremely tired. The staff helped me with parking, was very kindly and I got a room with a sea view and that was like a gift after a horrible day)

Review 47：Family run hotel,that made you feel very welcome. Nothing was a problem for any of the staff from the manager to the cleaning staff. Review 88：Excellent location Very very clean, Nice staff Parking is on street, and u can find free parking but u need to look for a bit, Wifi is fast They offer boat excursion which is a must do if u are here, for €35 per person plus lunch, Outside hotel is €40 per person, so go with these guys, also DO not book private boat for 2, as you have ro dock ur boat 50m off the shore in all beaches and then u have to swim to the beach everytime, its a lot easier to go with the tour of 12 people on a nice big boat, Cala mariolu is one of the most beautiful places iv ever seen, probably even better than thailand.

The staff is very friendly, feels like arriving at a small family hotel. The breakfast is nice, the restaurant at the hotel has great, tasty dishes, although you shouldn't go too late, as the chef leaves around 10pm. The owner gives you good tips for visiting around. Definitely recommended for a stay in Gala Gonone!

Review 91：The breakfast is only 2-3 types of bread, yoghurt and coffee. Going there in non-summer time means that you will be alone in the village.
