Hotel Aktaion sells fast on our site. Built in 1843, the Neoclassical Aktaion is right on the port of Ermoupolis, within walking distance of the town’s historic center. It offers elegant accommodations with free Wi-Fi and LCD TV.

Review 8：Fantastic location, right on the harbour, with so many waterfront restaurants right outside and so much to look at. It is a wonderful, small, old style hotel, full or character and charm. There is a place to swim in the sea, infront of the Hotel Hermes, which is about a 5 minutes walkk from the Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the breakfast - we were lucky that it was served on the balcony overlooking the harbour. We had one Twin overlooking the harbour, but the Double we had overlooking the street at the back was also lovely as we would sit on the balcony and watch the world go by!

Review 9：Our trip to Syros did not start well with our ferry cancelled and the replacement meant we arrived at 4am. We thought our hotel was locked (subsequently told that we could have come in anyway) so we came back at 9am. Maria, our host, quickly made us comfortable in the sumptuous lounge area and prepared breakfast for us even though she was busy with her other guests.She kindly offered to give us a vacant single room so that we could get some sleep as our room was still occupied till 12. We refused her generous offer but realised that this was no ordinary hotel and looking after guests was the number one priority.The hotel itself is on the 2nd and 3rd levels (2nd level has reception and one room, 3rd level has the lounge area and 8 other rooms, so its a boutique size establishment with service to match but NOT the high price (85euro per night inc breakfast in peak season).The circa 1850's building has been restored to a high standard. Fittings and furniture are beautiful and all are in a dark walnut colour, the en-suite is large and a double size shower was in our room(Rm 9).Free Wi-Fi is included and unlike other establishments, it is super fast 24/7. We also had a sea facing room after having made that request in our initial booking. The views were magnificent and I would recommend a sea facing room.We found that the noise at the front of the building at night, where restaurants/taverns are located, is minimal and we had no problem sleeping with the windows open or shut. (Light sleepers may find the noise at night excessive with the windows open).The beds were the most comfortable we have come across in our travels so far.Rooms are a comfortable size and the 4m high ceilings make the room look even larger.The whole building is spotlessly clean as are the rooms. Rooms are cleaned daily and sheets/towels replaced every 2 days.There is a bar fridge and complimentary tea/coffee facilities as well as bottles of water supplied.

Review 10：Bed bugs - never slept at all. We had two young children too, all of us were covered in bites. A week has passed and we are still being treated for bites! We found and removed bugs from the sheets. Totally disgusted. Never again!

Review 25：Aktaion was a very last minute addition to our trip to Greece on our honeymoon and the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful with elegant rooms with high ceilings and exposed brick with beautiful views overlooking the port. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering Syros as a visiting destination!

Review 32：Very friendly greeting and our bags were carried up the two flights of stairs for us. The room was very well presented and clean, plus lovely breakfast presented. Right on the harbour with numerous cafes outside and easy to spot and walk to from the ferry. We stayed two nights and had a great time exploring the island
