Reviews for Pomegranate Wellness Spa Hotel

Review 1:The prices of the mini bar were really surreal (about 4.5 euro for a bottle of 1L water). The prices of room service were also very high. You would need about 25 euro to order a club sandwich (there is an extra cost of 10 euros in room service). Finally, the bed mattress is VERY soft. At first I thought it was a great idea but as days went on I couldn't sleep well and became very irretable staying in bed for more than 1 hour.

Review 2:The spa which is the biggest and most luxurious I've ever encountered. Pure luxury in general. The room was very spacious and extremely clean. Everything was 100% great except from the above...

Review 3:Very sterile environment, very poor sound proofing. One can here everything from other rooms above and aside. The noise is annoying for a 5 star hotel. Food is average and the a la carte restaurant extremely expensive without needed quality. The spa get easily crowded and then no rules are followed by the gests

Review 4:Very friendly stuff, clean new hotel, beautiful garden, excellent spa even if not very well organized.

Review 5:The beach could have been a bit wider. The beach towels could be of better quality for otherwise such high class hotel.

Review 6:The building and facilities: everything was in marble - very well designed and arranged with testefully balanced mild colours. There was this relaxing scent of lavender and jasmine all around the hotel's indoor space. The room was very spacious and extremely cozy. The food: pure perversity for all senses at the breakfast and dinner buffet restaurant - amazing variety, outstanding quality, fantastic taste! The taverna is also outstanding for both lunch and dinner and offers amazing view over the sea. Do not miss the gourmet restaurant - one gets the extra touch of personal service experience there with good choice of unearthily delicious and exquisite meals. Special thanks to the waiter Rado for making our visit even more unforgettable. The personnel - very helpful and polite, all speaking at least 3 languages. The service: we didn't hear no for an answer even for the most demanding requests of ours. We traveled with 10 months old baby and she received the best service of us all - the guest relations prepared a special menu for her and we collected each meal from the taverna at the agreed time. Entertainment: amazing water and lights show by the hotel's entrance each evening at 21:30 . There is kids animation each evening at 20:30 too. Different guest entertainers each evening from 21:00.

Review 7:The only 5 stars hotel out there, where you have to actually pay additionaly (10 euro per day) for a usable wi-fi connection. And, 10 euro is a number you have to pay for room service to go 100 steps from the kitchen and bring food. No, this is not the tip value, this is how much it cost to bring you already overpriced food to the room. :) They should change their name to 10 euro addon hotel.

Review 8:Some of the fellow guest were less than friendly.

Review 9:Buffet breakfast offered many choices and, on Sunday, Champagne! The beach was nice - we had our own beach chairs every day. The staff were professional, positive, and their evening spectacle was fun.

Review 10:The most un-Greek experience, could have been anywhere hot! Extremely loud music around the pool and outside dining area, spoilt the break - the web site suggests tranquillity - no tranquillity there!

Review 11:Great facilities and very friendly staff

Review 12:Very unfriendly staff and not client oriented, I had a late flight and needed to stay till 17:00. I stayed with a 3 year old child. They said there are no rooms and wanted me to check out at 12:00. No rooms was a lie. I went to Booking.com and found a room available at the price of 237 Euro, so in the end they let me stay 5 hours extra and charged me the whole 237 Euro. Though two days before they said they could let me stay 5 hours more for half the price.

Review 13:Food

Review 14:Dirty sea, small beach, very inconvenient and unpleasant if you plan beach and swimming in the sea, very noisy and not comfortable for staying with little children

Review 15:Variety of food

Review 16:the hotel services are a quite pricey even if the quality of the hotel is good -

Review 17:the spa - the junior suite - the staff - the swimming pool - the breakfast

Review 18:Food at the seaside restaurant was average Breakfast is more about quantity than quality

Review 19:Beautiful hotel, very comfortable The spa is amazing Animation are really nice

Review 20:staff at the breakfast buffet is very unfriendly. one of them

Review 21:hotel was super clean, pool was great, receptionists were very friendly and spoke several languages, our dad got a complimentary cake delivered to the room for his 60tieth birthday, complimentary fruit the next day :)

Review 22:Low speed wifi in the room

Review 23:everything was perfect!!!service, food, beautiful garden, very good restaurants and bars, good breakfast, beautiful spa, amazing staff.Thank you Pomegranate!!!!

Review 24:No alternative dining options nearby.

Review 25:Excellent hotel. Great facilities and superb buffet. Fly screens on patio doors mean you can have fresh air without being bitten by mosquitoes.

Review 26:The wifi was a bit poor, there were tiny ants in our bathroom and some of women from the personnel couldn't speak english.

Review 27:I would recommend this hotel for its excellent personnel and customer service. Very good location and comfort stay.

Review 28:The only problem was the breakfast. A lot of food, but not high quality, as expected in a 5 star hotel. More geared for mass consumption. Tables not cleaned in-between. The restaurants were good. Bed sheets very crumpled not ironed.

Review 29:Beautiful designed hotel, very roomy and spacious layout. Elegant. Very comfortable for families, even we do not have children, we did not feel the children. No fights for chairs on pool or beach. employees very friendly and helpful.

Review 30:Doesn't feel like you're in Greece until you leave the hotel. Staff greet you in Russian first. Get the feeling they're punished if spoken to in Greek & not so. Arrogant neo rich visitors thinking that money buys them class. Far from it! Its a shame as Baltic & Russian visitors come to Greece for the Greek experience and the Hotel delivers to them with Little Russia.

Review 31:Great facilities all round! Best spa you will ever visit or see. Breakfast facilities and variety of food fantastic. Rooms brand new and very clean. Room services great. Would have been a 20/10 hotel if it wasn't for the dislikes!

Review 32:Booked seaview, was NO seaview (and the admitted to have very few sea view rooms). Some staff still with their attitude in 3star hotel.

Review 33:The room was good from size and quality. Some team members were very friendly throughout the stay!

Review 34:Staff did not recognize do not disturb light outside door and regularly disturbed us. Overpriced, definitely not worth 500 euro/night

Review 35:Rooms were spacious and very clean as was the entire resort

Review 36:The bed was extremely small. In 5 stars hotel it is not normal to offer such small bed in double room.

Review 37:The service was perfect, the food was amazing, the location is perfect, the garden is excelent

Review 38:The mattress is too soft for me.

Review 39:The Spa is very very nice, Gym also, overall great hotel

Review 40:Relaxation and luxury Breakfasts were absolutely fantastic

Review 41:Full board for the kids. Whatever we want whenever we want. Great idea

Review 42:The hotel is a bit like an airport terminal and is located on a main road

Review 43:The food is of a high standard

Review 44:Great breakfast, excelent spa, gourmet meals

Review 45:Great location, excellent service

Review 46:You might think for improving the restoraunt.

Review 47:The Spa Afrodita is a top class.

Review 48:Beach

Review 49:Food and restaurants were not good. Housekeeping not good. Entertainment not good.

Review 50:Staff at reception and spa were ver good and helpful

Review 51:The beach is small and not well arranged; is full of small stones in the sand; the water level increases suddenly.

Review 52:Nothing

Review 53:Everything was amazing, staff, food, location, and to top it off the laser water show every night.

Review 54:Everything was great, very beautiful view from the pool area on the sea and sunset.

Review 55:Restaurant was not up the standard of the hotel

Review 56:SPA was excellent and staff was amazing Beach was good Rooms spacious Large pool

Review 57:Spa pool water cold No restaurants or bars within walking distance

Review 58:Location on the beach, good choice of food ,comfortable room

Review 59:Everything

Review 60:The free wifi was borderline acceptable, the high-speed was €10/day

Review 61:Amazing garden, great staff, exceptional facilities, professional service

Review 62:Nothing.

Review 63:Everything high quality.

Review 64:Low speed wifi, small beach, There is no Hotel Butler who can help with bags/luggage.

Review 65:Rooms were spacious and very clean.

Review 66:Spa was unbelievable, hotel clean and luxurious. Good staff and nice rooms

Review 67:The cold water in spa pool

Review 68:Almost everithing

Review 69:VERY SLIM BED

Review 70:Staff knows little or no English Non-Russian guests are discriminated& poorly serviced Poor Management

Review 71:Facilities, service, food, lovely garden, free towels, sundecks and umbrellas at the pool and beach. The singing fountain in front of the hotel was a real treat, not only for children, but grownups as well.

Review 72:Poor security, especially in the parking lot. Everyone enters without beeing checked if has a reservation. Staff friendly but not enough professional. The shower at the pool is far away from the pool, so none use it before diving in the pool. Poor quality of pool-towels, and bathroom towels (comparing with the 5stars of the hotel). The spa is a huge investment, but the hamam was out of use since you had to pay extra. And none did... The decoration is quite pedestrian without character and theme. Nice but not unique. Overal a fair hotel, but not value for money.

Review 73:New hotel, clean, quite luxurious. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Review 74:It was difficult not to turn the bathroom into a swimmingpool when showering. But it was cleaned twice a day by the staff, and with towel change if desired. Bring your own car if you want to explore the surroundings (if you don't want to be dependent on organised tours totally). On the other hand: we stayed 5 days and hadn't had enough time to use all the facilities on the premises)

Review 75:Service en friendlyness of staff, garden, restaurant, pool, spa. We expected to visit a great 5 star hotel, like we have done many times. We didn't expect that we left with a feeling that it was the best we have been in. In our opionion it pushed back Andel's hotel in Lodz to silver (as a whole, that still has more beautifull architecture) and makes Marriots and Hiltons boring.....

Review 76:The swimming pool inside the hotel is only with cold water. The staff were speaking mostly Greek and Russian. The internet connection was poor.

Review 77:The staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms were wide. Food was perfect.

Review 78:The indoor swimming pool is with sea water, which means that it can be used only in summer time. No children under 14 years are permitted to enter the Spa area

Review 79:Location of the hotel, gardens, food

Review 80:The staff isnt for a five star hotel. It should be a lot more responding. The sea view rooms are not exactly in front of the see.

Review 81:Clean and vast rooms. A very new hotel. Nice pirvate beach, wonderful spa, covinient breakfast, and very nice pool watching the Aegean.

Review 82:Beds are very, very small, unconfortable- if you are more then1,80 high, it is difficult cu sleep in it:)) Shower cabins are awfull, very poor.

Review 83:Nice swimming pool, nice hotel, nice spa. Even if staff do not speak English, they are friendly and helpful- mini bar boy or bellboy for example, they really want to be helpful, they was very friendly.

Review 84:My wife had her nails polished and said the service was overpriced and she wasn't that satisfied. Except of greek channels almost all other tv channels are russian. Why not insert some more in english language? The rooms are isolated from outside noise but the doors are not soundproof. You can hear people passing outside your room.

Review 85:New hotel - everything inside was brand new. Liked the fact that the gave us two free spa vouchers after welcoming us with a drink. The breakfast is enormous and they squeeze different types of fresh fruits for juice. There is a big beach just outside the hotel. The Sani Resort is very near for night-life.

Review 86:Staff undertrained and therefore uncomfortable when communicating with guests. Overpriced entry for spa, which is not included in the price of the hotel accommodation.

Review 87:Beautiful setting, high-quality of renovation materials and beautiful interior design, immaculate garden, spacious premises, fantastic spa facilities.

Review 88:the most beautiful hotel that i have ever visited in Chalkidiki. Excellent design in all hotel, super rooms, rich breakfast, gorgeous view from the balcony, state of the art Spa. The free coupon for the first spa is very good idea and extraordinary experience.

Review 89:On the beach no proper umbrellas, which does not go with five star hotel,no shadow.Breakfast till ten ocklock,so you have to get up accordingly to reach it,as though you are not on holiday, but at work. This place is not for people who are looking for calm place to relax, very noisy as to many children,no area for adults.

Review 90:The location is nice, rooms are clean.

Review 91:Impertinent – with a prepaid room, at the moment of arrival they want you to pay a deposit of 300 Euro (cash or with a card), for future expenses, as if you were a thief who would consume without paying. Disgusting food at lunch, in the main restaurant. The beach is with fairly old lounges and umbrellas, and sharply contrasts the luxury hotel. The majority of personnel is Russian-speaking and some of them don’t speak English.

Review 92:A new, excellent luxury hotel. Spacious and nicely furnished rooms. Super rich breakfast. Wi-Fi - including on the beach.Unique SPA. Courteous staff.

Review 93:The way which they are working there must be more professional in everything.

Review 94:I liked that everything was new.Because I had visited this hotel before the renovation.

Review 95:For starters, I think it is important to say that I booked a junior suite, and I pre-payed it with my credit card.I was totally disappointed during my stay at the hotel. This is *not* a *5-star* hotel. Some of the things that I disliked:1. I arrived there with my motorcycle. There was no person or sign in the parking lot to guide me as to where to park my motorcycle. Everyone parks wherever he pleases.2. At the reception they gave me a paper form to fill. This is usual of course upon checking-in at all hotels. What is *not* usual is that this form asked for my full credit card details. And when I write "full" I mean that they even asked for my credit card's *CSV* number! Can you imagine that? My CSV number! I refused, of course, to provide them with any of my credit card details.3. Once I checked-in, the receptionist told me that it is hotel policy that I give them 300 euros in advance (cash / credit card). Mind you, this sum of money was *not* as payment for my room. I had already pre-payed my room as I wrote above. This was money that they wanted for expenses I *might* incur while staying there. Upon check-out they would do a clearance between this sum of money and the actual expenses I may have incurred during my stay. Keep in mind, that nowhere during my online booking was this hotel policy mentioned. I refused to give them the money, and I asked to talk with the hotel manager. He apologized for this "mistake" on their part, and let me check-in normally.4. According to their site, junior suites are located at the higher floor. In my lexicon, "higher" means 2nd floor and above, not 1st floor where my room was. Also, they state that junior suites have sea view. Well, in a very broad interpretation of the word, I guess I could say that the view from my balcony was "sea view" (sic).5.
