Reviews for The White House B&B
Review 1:Nothing!
Review 2:We have stayed at a few B&B's now on this trip to Ireland and we would have to say this was the best!! Value for money, location and the friendly owners was perfect! Travelling as a family with 2 teenagers, the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was huge and filled us up nicely. We would have liked to stay 2 nights but unfortunately they were full - oh well. We will definitely come back and stay again. The owners know how to look after their guests. Thank you!!!
Review 3:Noise at 7:30 (Vacuum the first morning) and others guests that went away and talked out loud with Pat the second morning
Review 4:Regina and Pat (Owners) very kind Excellent breakfast (pancakes !!! :)) Very confortable bed and shower with good pressure Location
Review 5:Lovely warm and friendly. Pat was very helpful with directions and I met my match in talking. I'm sure he has kissed the Blarney Stone as he definitely had the gift of the gab. Lovely breakfast too.
Review 6:None. Everything was perfect.
Review 7:The owners were very friendly and helpful in guiding us to places of interest in the area. We felt very welcomes and the breakfast they offered was excellent. The location is excellent. It was a short walk to the small village of Blarney with nice pubs and restaurants.
Review 8:Facilities were excellent, and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Great advice on things to do in the area. And we couldn't have gotten better breakfast service at a fancy restaurant! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Review 9:We loved the personal friendly service from Pat and Regina. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing with a varied selection. We stayed for 3 nights and didn't have the same thing twice. Pat was very helpful with directions and information and was a great weather guru. We would highly recommend this accommodation in Blarney.
Review 10:Shower slow to drain was minor inconvenience.
Review 11:Very nice place and room with en suite. Food was super. Owner Patrick was very friendly, helpful and informative.
Review 12:What an amazing B&B. We have two children ages 12 and 16 so it is always important for them to have seperate beds so we got the family room. Beautiful room, walking distance to wbrything and the owner told us that our plan for the next day wasn't really doable. I am glad we listened or we might still be driving.
Review 13:Comfortable, clean, convenient, the owners were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent! They gave us really helpful suggestions about the best times to visit sites, and how to get around. Breakfast was great.
Review 14:The family room was excellent, a great size and both children had full sized single beds! The owners were very friendly and accommodating, with an excellent knowledge of the area. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was a shame we only stayed for 1 night.
Review 15:We liked the friendliness of Pat, the room was beautiful, and it was only a walk away from the Blarney Castle. Pat even tracked us down at the supermarket in town after we checked out because we had forgotten something! Now that is service!
Review 16:very delicious breakfast with lots of things for your choice, nice rooms with comfortable bed, the owner pat was really nice and gave helpfull advice for our trip through ireland
Review 17:We had a wonderful stay at The Whitehouse B&B. Couldn't recommend it more highly. Everything was perfect and just right for our stay. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
Review 18:Excellent location: 10 minute walk to the Castle. Comfortable accommodations. Best Irish breakfast we had during our 10 days in Ireland. Pat was a very friendly, helpful host. No question we will look to stay here on our next visit.
Review 19:Nothing to complain about.
Review 20:At the upper end of B&B pricing, but worth it. These hosts are B&B doyens and have luxurious and personal touches down pat. The man of the house likes to chat, but will give you lots of good advice about visiting nearby Blarney Castle, best times etc. The salmon omelette served at breakfast was superb.
Review 21:This is a quaint bed and breakfast that is close to the Blarney Castle. The castle can be seen from the patio in the front yard. Rooms were spacious and clean. We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning. So we didn't have much chance to enjoy the amenities of the property. Parking was adequate and breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed the stay very much.
Review 22:Pat and Regina were fantastic hosts and our room felt like home. It was close to Blarney village, where we had a great time visiting Blarney Castle and eating at the Muskerry Arms. We would recommend this B&B to anyone.
Review 23:We were there on a warm night and really noticed that there is no air conditioning or ceiling fans.
Review 24:The rooms seemed new and clean. Hosts were accommodating and helpful. Good traditional Irish breakfast. A short walk to downtown Blarney and the castle. While on the major road into town, there is little or no traffic at night.
Review 25:Pat was so friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. The home was the perfect combination of comfort and professionalism. This is a very well run B&B.
Review 26:The White House was a most comfortable and convenient location from which to access Blarney. It is situated only a short stroll from the town square where there are a number of great places to have a meal. It is also within walking distance of the Woollen Mills...the largest Irish store in Ireland. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had our best night's sleep of the whole trip! Patrick and Regina were excellent and attentive hosts. Breakfast was delicious; a lovely spread and menu from which to choose. Highly recommend.
Review 27:There was nothing we didn't like
Review 28:The proprietors, Pat and Regina, gave us the warmest of welcomes to their home. Pat didn't think twice about offering us our breakfast half an hour early so that we could make it to the airport in time for our early morning flight. Spotlessly clean, homely and affordable. Would love to visit again one day.
Review 29:Everything was great. No complaints here!
Review 30:The breakfast was just delicious and our room was very comfortable. Our host greeted us warmly and was kind and generous for the entirety of our visit.
Review 31:We spent a weekend here and we felt very welcome from the minute we arrived, got a big room with view to Blarney castle. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made us an amazing breakfast. Free parking, free WIFI, all restaurants and shops just a few minute walk, probably the best place to stay in Blarney!
Review 32:I would have liked to been able to eat something in our room. We arrived late due to a traffic accident just prior. The restaurants were closed and we were asked not to bring take-out food into the room.
Review 33:We liked that the room was nice and that the owners were pleasant. Our GPS didn't take us to the correct location, but the owner came out to where we were and let us follow him to the B&B. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 34:Nothing bad to report here.
Review 35:We absolutely loved our time here. The owners were fantastic, the room was great, the bed was comfy! It was easily walking distance to the Castle and our stay was great! Breakfast was also amazing.
Review 36:Nothing. Breakfast was wonderful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the hosts were super nice. We would stay here again and again
Review 37:We were welcomed with a cheerful smile by name as if we were the only ones coming that day. Pat, was really nice and had a great sense of humor. He was really engaging with our 6 year old son and they had some fun joking around together.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:We liked everything about our stay at the White House. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the facilities were excellent and the location was perfect.
Review 40:nothing
Review 41:Pat & Regina are the perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. Location of the White House is ideal for visiting Blarney Castle and the Woollen Mills (within walking distance). The house is nicely decorated throughout with everything you would need. Good quality beds that were very comfortable. Lovely breakfast.
Review 42:This B&B was the best one I stayed at during my trip to Ireland. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was very nice, and the front patio was perfect for enjoying a cup of evening tea. The owner was very helpful and gave us great suggestions about when to visit certain attractions. Breakfast was a 10!
Review 43:The room was large, the linens crisp and the beds super comfy! Our hosts were quite friendly and cooked up a delicious breakfast that filled us until dinner time. We will stay here again.
Review 44:The accommodations were spot on for myself and my two older children. Got great advice on short version of Ring of Kerry in order to get everything done we wanted to see.
Review 45:I was only staying for one night but I couldn't have asked for a nicer place! Our host was kind and very welcomming. the room was also immaculate and incredibly comfortable. I'll definitely be back!
Review 46:Absolutely welcoming and kind hosts Pat and Regina, hospitality at its best. We loved the stay, smiles, food, the comfort. I would totally recommend it to anyone. Blarney Castle is a shout out from the B&B. On a good day, you could even walk.
Review 47:We were impressed by the spacious comfortable room. The staff was very helpful on places to go within walking distance. It was the best value for our money of all the places we stayed.
Review 48:There was nothing bad about our stay.
Review 49:The staff was so friendly and helpful, giving us great tips for what to do and see. The location was also wonderful, walking distance to Blarney castle.
Review 50:Large windows in bedroom looked out onto entrance to entrance door meant privacy was compromised in the daytime/ Drive far too steep for non car users with disabilities curtailing independence.
Review 51:Good food, hospitality excellent, room very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
Review 52:The owners are extremely accommodating and 2 of the friendliest people you'll ever meet (which we found to be true of many people in Ireland). The rooms were amazing: spacious, comfortable beds, plenty of towels & toiletries, hair dryer, dressing table, t.v., coffee & tea in the rooms, and free wifi. Breakfast was wonderful and they had a wide variety to choose from: cereals, yogurt, orange juice, fruit and then made to order choices such as pancakes, omelettes, eggs (scrambled/fried/boiled/poached), toast, oatmeal (which they call porridge), and plenty of hot tea and coffee. The B&B was in walking distance of Blarney Castle as well as the little town of Blarney with other good restaurants for lunch or dinner and a few shops. Pat gave us wonderful recommendations and directions of other nearby towns to visit as well. It was a terrific stay and we sure hope to return one day!
Review 53:The living room has no TV. Is not really a complain, but we spent 2 nights there and there was nothing to do in the evenings- as we couldn't leave the house because of the children. There is though a computer to use internet.
Review 54:owners, breakfast was absolutely everything we could ask for, location, family room was great. We traveled with 2 and 4 years old children and everything was great.
Review 55:Sadly we only stayed one night. Will definitely stay longer next time!
Review 56:Everything! Pat and Regina were just great and so friendly. The rooms looked like they have just been refurbished, I think the bathroom was brand new. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was the most perfect start for the day!
Review 57:No negative remarks.
Review 58:Pat and Regina are very helpfull and friendly. Excellent location to visit Blarney Castle (walking distance) and Cork (20 minutes by bus). I still dream about the Irish breakfast!
Review 59:Hosts were absolutely amazing. Upgraded us to a family room at no extra charge simply because it was available for the night. Recommended a few different bars and restaurants in the city. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, highly recommend the savoury smoked salmon omelette. A little far from city center (10 mins walk), but for what we were paying it was fine.
Review 60:Pat and Regina went out of their way to be hospitable and helpful, even going so far as to top up our windshield fluid in our car...breakfast was super yummy and gorgeous, location was perfect, and our hosts could not have been more welcoming. Recommend highly!!
Review 61:The home and hospitality was fantastic- the best care we've ever had in our travels, which have been more than a few. I cannot remember a more gracious host-- Patrick and Regina showed me that the Irish saying is more than just words-- I felt "a hundred thousand welcomes". The location was excellent-- an easy walk to town or the castle. The room was beautiful, the beds were great, the breakfast was excellent, and if I would stay here again and again.
Review 62:Nothing.
Review 63:The White House was like 'home away from home'. We were nearly at the end of our trip and it was wonderful to come back to our comfortable room. We will definitely return here and we would like to stay for longer. Thankyou !!
Review 64:When were unable to get a room in Cork we chose Blarney and what a good decision it was. The White House was a beautifully presented place with a lovely breakfast and very friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend to others.
Review 65:Our hosts were very friendly. The B&B is within walking distance to a great pub and is convenient for visiting Blarney castle and Blarney Woolen Mills for great shopping! Our bedroom was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great!
Review 66:Bit noisy on the last morning, I believe it was when people were checking out just before 7am.
Review 67:Location is great for Blarney Castle, Blarney Woollen Mill and Cork. Pat and his wife are engaging hosts, very nice people. Room, bed and shower were good. Seemed to be enough parking spaces (think there were 6 for 6 rooms)
Review 68:White House B&B was an amazing place. We stayed just one night but was one of the best night sleep I had the whole trip. The hostess and her husband were so welcoming and my wife loved the pancakes in the morning. So close to Blarney we walked into town for the night. A must stay if your going to Blarney.
Review 69:Pat & Regina were so friendly and ever so helpful. Everything was so clean and breakfast so tasty. We even went back for more directions for the rest of our trip Regina got us there with no problems.
Review 70:The proximity to the main road.Noisy only if you have the windows open like we did as the weather was pleasantly warm.
Review 71:Pat and Regina run this extremely clean and tidy B'n'B . They are both charming and certainly can answer any "touristy" questions you need answered. The breakfast is fabulous and very generous.
Review 72:No complaints.
Review 73:Everything! The room was clean and comfortable, the location was very close to Blarney Castle and shopping area, and the proprietors were fabulous! Breakfast was wonderful and very reasonable. We loved everything about our stay here.
Review 74:We only got to spend one night there. :(
Review 75:Room was beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds, fluffy pillows and tea kettle. Nice large towels in the bathroom. Tasty, filling breakfast with options. The hosts were so helpful with planning our time in Blarney and routing us around Ireland. And it was so affordable! Would go back anytime!!! :)
Review 76:That we couldn't stay longer :)
Review 77:From the moment we arrived the staff was more than friendly and extremely willing to help in any way possible. They gave great advice on local dining as well as great hints for touring the Blarney Castle.
Review 78:Nothing, will stay here again if we are ever in the area
Review 79:Just a short walk to the village and the Castle, excellent accommodations, friendly and helpful hosts, gave us many helpful hints (such as volunteering enthusiastically for the tasting at the Jameson Experience), gave us short cuts and ways to avoid driving through Cork city.
Review 80:The warm welcome from the owner Pat, with offer to carry our luggage. Luxurious and clean room with a view, sumptuous breakfast and lots of helpful advice on sites, restaurants, and locality.
Review 81:Pat and his wife are the best manager and very friendly. B&B has all the feature required and is in a pefect location. Clean and quite and the breackfast is fantastic. Thanks Pat!
Review 82:Not a singe thing to dislike!
Review 83:Pat and Regina were the best hosts! They were friendly and extremely accommodating. Pat knew everything about anything and always helped. The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. The breakfast was worth the money and pat cooks a mean egg! - so delicious! We stayed 3 nights, it's centrally located and about 10 minutes from cork city- much nicer than staying in cork itself! Will definitely be visiting the whitehouse again!
Review 84:Within walking distance to town. Everything was great from the room to the delicious breakfast! Host was very friendly, offered great advice and excellent recommendations. We were only there for one night, but highly recommend!
Review 85:Leaving.
Review 86:Absolutely everything. From moment of arrival until departure you are treated like royalty. Both Pat and Regina offer exceptional service and strongly believe you will not find any better B&B in Ireland. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with wonderful shower. Great breakfast. This is a MUST stay for anyone travelling in/around Blarney.
Review 87:Hot & Cold tap direction could be clearer in shower
Review 88:Excellent sized room, incredibly comfortable beds & pillows. Host Pat was a wealth of knowledge. Good range for breakfast. Convenient location for exploring area. Would highly recommend, but very popular so book in advance
Review 89:Wished we could have stayed a few more days!
Review 90:The White House B&B was our first stop on our mom and daughter adventure began! We managed to survive our first experience of driving in Europe. It is a short distance from Cork Airport. The Inn is perched at the top of a hill with a view of Blarney Castle and beautiful countryside, and it is a quick drive to town and the castle. Our hosts were kind, gracious, and helpful with where to eat, what time to go to visit Blarney Castle and miss the "bus tour" crowds. Having been a B&B owner is the States I would happily recommend a stay at The White House. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and very clean! The homemade breakfast was a wonderful treat as well. Great tips on where to go, and what to see.
Review 91:Everything was perfect. We could not have hoped for a better place to stay.
Review 92:We would highly recommend this beautiful home. We were treated like family. Excellent breakfast. We got a ton of advice and help for our travels. Absolutely beautiful home and very comfortable, clean room. Centrally located so that we could walk to town. We will be going back!

Review 94:Staff was fantastic - very friendly and helpful with any questions. Room was lovely! Very spacious - bathroom was large. Location to Blarney Castle and city center was fantastic - 5 min walk.
Review 95:It's was good to have a choice at breakfast after travelling for some months. Smoked salmon omelette was fantastic. Close to town of Blarney and good local pubs and easy bus ride to Cork.
Review 96:Having come from hotels in London and Dublin this was a great night's stay. Comfortable beds, large room, nice bathroom, close to town, and an excellent breakfast. Would stay here again and highly recommend to friends. Thanks Pat and Regina for making us so welcome!
