Review 3：Wifi was woeful for accommodation that promotes itself as a high standard resort. This really needs to be fixed. I had to use one of their connected computers and a local internet cafe to send photos. Food at the restaurant was just average. The walk to Mamalapuram village took longer than 15-20 minutes, although it is a pleasant walk and if you tire there are plenty of tuktuks. I timed myself, and I'm fit, it took 25-30mins. Although I rated it as excellent, I'm not so sure it's value for money. But being able to have a delightful villa, away from the main hotel, that was peaceful, makes up for this perception. I also checked out the main hotel rooms and they were spacious and comfortable and clean with ocean, pool and garden views. I also suggest to the new owners, how about a change in the colour scheme? Away from browns and reds to ocean colours? Suggestion only.

Review 4：Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. I stayed during the week. Staff were attentive, friendly, polite and helpful.I had delightful conversations with Monica snd SriKunth. Everything was clean and well cared for. Pool was fabulous to swim in! I stayed in one of the villas, which was excellent, with a view of the pool and garden - fabulous! Could have stayed longer.

Review 5：Their was no safety for our belonging. Because I have lost couple of mythings while when we stayed in the property. If we have asked the sameto the hotel staff they are not answering properly. So beware beforechoosing this property

Review 6：Very small rooms. Deluxe rooms are charged at 10k per night and it's not even worth 4 k. The bathroom is so small and utter waste of money for such a small room. Food is nice but veryyyyyyy expensive...They charged 6k for Christmas eve dinner for a couple and the spread was like a 2 star hotel

A power cut in my room which was not explained as all other power on site was available The y had no wine available although they had a wine list On cahecking out because of problems they could not void my debit card payment as machine was not working. I had to telephone my bank to ensure any transactional payment was cancelled

Review 14：This is my second visit. The last time I visited their air-condition in the restaurant did not work, this time also it did not work. They made us sit outside, it started raining their terracotta tiled roof had holes all over the place, we had to rush with our plates inside. Inside it was fuming hot. Through out the evening the power went off, it was blinding dark in the restroom and room, especially with kids. The next morning, my wife was in the shower and the power went off. It was a mess. When I was at the billing other customers were also complaining about the restaurant. Unfortunately that is the only restaurant they have. The restaurant in-charge was running up and down than the waiters, unable to manage the guests.Most of us ate cold dosa's inspite of the good dosa counter setup. We did not yell, but was a scene to watch. I feel it no more fits any kind of start hotel standards.Its a huge property for sure, but they are unable to manage.

Review 16：Breakfast was not good during the weekdays. No explanation was given and no choice offered. More people checked in during the weekends, so the buffet breakfast was open. As it is located away from the town and appears isolated, one is dependent on the in-house restaurant. Food quality is bad and not worth the money. Staff not trained at all and customer service is very poor. Too many people working in the restaurant and standing next to us and starring was very uncomfortable. Staff have trouble understanding English and messed up lot of things leading to a bit of money loss. Lots of insects and the room wasn't cleaned at all when handed over to us.

Review 26：1.Dj was on upto 10pm with disturbing music. After my call and request only it stopped. 2.1 lit water bottle INR 75+ tax???? I thought of filing a case. Anything special about the water you provide? 3.Cottages are unsafe. Anyone can easily break the glass windows and enter into your room.No grills... I am sure if you don't act on it soon there will be some incidents. I hope you listen to me and install grills on windows and bathroom back entry door.

Review 28：Party time! Whilst the there we were subjected to the music of Bollywood at full volume for two nights and two afternoons. This is the party time for India. Suggest not before Christmas for a visit. We felt that the Hotel kitchen could do with a makeover and the table cloths needed laundering as they seemed a bit grubby from time to time. That's all

Review 29：The location is good. Very close to the sea and good sandy beaches. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The food is good and very spicy as clients are mostly Indian. This Hotel has been under new owners for six months and are trying hard to make it work so far so good.last but by no means the least. They have a fantastic swimming pool at least 50mts long. Plus a massage centre and an up and coming gym and a huge area to walk or run if you feel inclined. Excellent hotel.

We often visit temple bay for anyweekend or vacation plans.Since my wife have visited your resort for a team building which made by her company, she was little bit impressed and opted to choose your services for our next vacation plan & as per her advice i agreed upon.So my wife has made a reservation for our weekend plan thru Booking.com for 10th May 2014.Based on our experience with temple bay & the comments written on your website she has opted for a standard room with garden view.We made a mistake by paying the complete amount without seeing the room on the day of our check in & neither your front office offered the same.But after check in to the Room no 205, It was a big disappointment, we both felt that we made a big blunder by opting your service which does not meet our requirements because... the Standard room with garden view is just like a Local accommodation which i use for a business trip.So we forcefully opted to cancel our accommodation, since we lost the first impressionWhat we expected !the Garden view to be a pleasant ambiance, with a breezy balcony, garden view and more.What we got !is a.. Simple Accommodation, with the view shows the other landlords open-land, which does not give any resort/vacation feel.Here i would request you to please ask the customers to view the rooms before they pay and check in.Reception & Service !This area i should really appreciate where your people really made me delight by attending prompt and giving us the maximum support when we totally broke down after seeing Standard room.Food & Restaurant !Taste and service is excellent but... the cost of the snacks are exorbitant (PFA) which has to be corrected.Here i have mentioned both good and bad, but towards my experience with Chariot, but if your give me a option.. that will i visit the same place again...

Review 91：The AC in the room was not working despite complaining several times there was no positive response at all from the reception nor the management. Till night AC was not working in very humid and hot weather. At 9 in the night we were finally shifted to another room. The extra sofa bed was broken. Thank god nothing happen. Then it was replaced by another bed and god was not with us this time, the moment we sat the bed broke. Lucky enough my friend was not injured. After demanding so much they got another proper bed. Nightmare it was. The restaurant manager Sanjeeth is a very rude and indisciplined person. Never ready to serve you food despite having separate menu for night food. A totally disappointing and sad place. Please do not waste your money and waste ur vacation in this resort.

How is it possible that such a hotel doesn't provide WIFI! How can the nicely made bar at the beach be so dirty and unattended. Why no drinks and food for lunch?

Review 101：Advertised wifi but on both occasions it was " unavavailable". The restaurant was expensive for ordinary food. We were told no " other "taxi was available and we would have to pay double the rate for their transport but in fact we found one straight away to take us to the airport!

Misrepresentative and manipulative manager at front desk told us 1,500 Rs for an extra bed and at the time of checking out insisted on charging us over 4,000 Rs for the same. We travelled over 9000 kms in India and stayed at slightly over 21 hotels. By far this was the rudest staff and the worst value for money!!!! We tried the buffet breakfast and lunch - expensive and put Indian food to a shame. Intact the so called ice cream was as hard as rock, they did not even refill the items in the buffet and the fruits were stale and sour. Don't recommend and a disappointing "booking.com" experience.

Review 107：The cottages are surrounded by beautiful gardens and leave enough space to the neighbours. A quiet place to come to a rest. Friendly people, delicious food, a clean place. We had our computers with us and had a good time working. Wifi is fast and steady. People who are looking for tourist attractions and animation should search other places.

You have to use their computer in the room behind reception. No entertainment staff as it says on the website. Only a children's playground.
