Reviews for Craglea Lodge

Review 1:Nothing really!!

Review 2:Within a 5 min walk to the bars, restaurants and shops you didn't have to worry about taking the car and finding parking. The inside was amazingly spacious which was a surprise looking from the outside. It was well decorated and there was a residents lounge with 24 hr T&C making facilities and biscuits!! The room we had was No5 at the back (some face the sea but we preferred this one). It was large, airy and well appointed. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom well fitted out and great towels! Breakfast was delicious with the full Irish but also home made scones, jam and cereals, yoghurts as well. Freshly made coffee too!!! The owner Edel was brilliant and very friendly and helpful. A nice person all round. We had a great stay (except for the rain) and would love to stay there again in the future. The place is ideal for the Cliffs of Moher by the way.

Review 4:Edel was so warm and welcoming. We were travelling up the Wild Atlantic Way from Cork and definitely thought that Cradle Lodge was our favourite stop off. The accommodation was perfect, the food was great, and Edel (not forgetting Draco!) were just wonderful hosts. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience - Siobhán, James and Owen

Review 6:We enjoyed our two night stay at Craiglea very muich. Our room was spacious and immaculate with a very nice view over a garden and toward a school. Edel, the owner, and her daughter were very friendly and helpful, suggesting sights to see, pubs and stores. It is about a five minute stroll into the cute village. It is a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and all the other sights in the area. Breakfast was excellent with the usual buffet items and the cooked to order entrees. Edel's homemade scones were delicious. Her brother owns Kenny's Pub and we enjoyed two superb and reasonable dinners there. Her sister owns the Kenny Woolen Mills with a vast array of beautiful items for shoppers. We highly recommend Craiglea and would stay there again on a future trip.

Review 7:Wonderful welcome and position. View from the room on the Atlantic Ocean. Lahinch is a very nice town to stay for a couple of days. The room was spacious, everything was perfect and clean.

Review 8:Absolutely nothing.

Review 9:Location, room, staff, food are all excellent. This is my second time in lahinch and I'll be staying in Craglea in future. Last time I stayed in Lahinch, I stayed in Lahinch Golf and Leisure Hotel - staff were rude, breakfast wasn't great and the rooms and hotel were really drab. If you're looking for a typical Irish experience, this B&B is it not the hotel. As mentioned in the description, there is a dog drako that is resident but he's a beautiful well tempered dog and actually makes the B&B feel like a home from home. The only food we ate is breakfast and there's 3 options, we both had the full Irish both mornings - this is made the way my mam makes a full Irish, butcher sausages, rashers, white pudding, tomato and fried egg. There's also continental as well. Edel and drako made us feel very welcome and the location is fantastic as you're a 3 minute walk into the town and away from Saturday night noise, ideal place for people with children. The rooms are modern and are literally what you see in the pictures and incredibly clean.

Review 10:some minor details like wifi that did not work properly

Review 11:location near a beatiful viewpoint of the coast in a charming village a few kms from the incredible Cliffs of Moher Good price value taking into account that Ireland is relative expensive and great breakfast

Review 12:Edel was great,(sp?) she gave us a back door way to the cliiffs and it was awesome, had them all to ourselves, Beautiful little town and beautiful B @ B. Make sure you give Draco a kiss

Review 13:Edel the landlady was wonderful, friendly and informative. We had a comfortable stay despite the weather. Highly recommend the closeness to the centre of the village and to the surfers' paradise beach.

Review 14:nothing

Review 15:the owner was brilliant, the lodge was awsome, breakfast awsome, the whole place was very very comfortable and great location go for it..10/10

Review 16:I had a single bed which wasn't the most comfortable I have slept in but that's nit picking!

Review 23:no tea or coffee making facilities in room.bed very creaky but comfortable.

Review 24:Spacious bedroom.immaculately clean.great location.Edel the owner very friendly.quiet lodge.

Review 25:Few more hooks needed in the bathroom.

Review 26:Good quality, thick towels. Plenty of parking out the front. Willingness of office staff to be flexible with our length of stay..their 'flexibility'. Good sized communal lounge overlooking the bay.

Review 27:The one thing we did not like was that the host's BIG DOG wandered through the dining room while we were having breakfast.

Review 28:Location is excellent; room was spacious (though window overlooking the ocean a bit small!) and clean. We were offered tea and biscuits on arrival. The host gave us ideas for nearby places to visit. And, the host had turned on the heater in our room whilst we were out for a walk in an afternoon of rain so we returned to a beautifully cozy, warm room! Finally, we LOVED the generous breakfast - fresh fruit, different kinds of bread, and excellent hot meal too.

Review 29:Craglea Lodge is a beautiful place to stay, the location is excellent, the bedrooms huge, gorgeous and very clean, the breakfast we excellent and Edel is really nice. We had a great time there. We were there also with my parents that are in their 70s and they as well loved their fabulous room and great service.

Review 30:Nothing to add

Review 31:B&B Owner was friendly, room was very big and beds comfortable, plus property is in excellent location only 2min stroll from the town

Review 32:Excellent room with ocean view; stylish decor and spacious; seating area in bay window; extremely comfortable bed; fresh scones & tea/coffee on arrival; healthy breakfast options as well as the full hearty Irish; highly hospitable hostess with in-depth knowledge of the area.

Review 33:If you are driving along the coast or visiting the Cliffs of Moher, this is a great place to stay. Less than 5 minutes from the town of Lahinch, it was a wonderful restful stop on our trip. Our room had a lovely little sitting area with a great view of the town and ocean. Edel was very welcoming and the breakfast she provided was delicious. She was also gave us helpful information for the rest of our trip. Felt like home away from home!

Review 34:We were able to help ourselves to tea and biscuits on arrival. The WiFi was a little temperamental, but Edel really did try to help, and we connected in the end. Quick walk in to town, and a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher. Best shower of my trip! And the beds were really comfy. I'm a little nervous around dogs, but their pet is a big softy and was very friendly.
