Review 1：The hotels bar area is lovely with huge potential and great views, but always incredibly quiet/lacking atmosphere, staff said it was like this throughout the year, we drank in the bar on a couple of occasions during our stay however drinks were exceptionally over priced (13 euro's for a bottle of beer and glass of local island wine, over 30 euros for 2 cocktails using quality sprits but certainly not worth the price). Beaches in the area were relatively poor considering that they are cited as the best beaches on the island, lots of litter around coastal walks and there seems to be a problem with graffiti generally across the island.
Review 2：Wonderful friendly and accommodating staff, good breakfast included and a lovely light lunch options available to purchase. Hotel was part 'boutique' - evident in shared areas such as reception, lobby and bar area. We had a recently updated room which was nice. I know many of the rooms are yet to benefit from an upgrade. It represented good value however we would be unlikely to return to the area.

Review 10：For a few days there were some unruly small kids in the pool. This caused a bit of unrest with other, more mature guests. This hotel is really not suited to young children (or bad parents).

Review 15：There was lack of attention to detail. The pool area needed more maintenance, the pool showers did not work well and shower tray was full of algae, the rubbish bins around pool area were never emptied. The AC did not work at the gym, the wifi was poor reception everywhere.

Review 17：The little "town" of Lassi is not a town, it is a length of road with mediocre restaurants on both sides and a not very charming feel to it. The tiny beach nearby the hotel is very narrow with 3-deep lines of parasols basically on top of each other and super crowded, at least the water is fantastic as it is everywhere in Greece but this is not a review of Greece, it is a review of the hotel. And the worse part was that the hotel has no porter service, and when we showed our disbelief the girl checking us in wasn't even apologetic about it but proceeded to call a cleaning maid in her late 50s to come and carry the suitcase for us, which we obviously refused, so we had to drag our huge suitcases up to the second floor ourselves, given that the majority age group of people staying at this hotel is in their 60s I think that a porter is truly necessary, plus which 4 or 5 star hotel has no porter???? Talking with our taxi driver we got local gossip and apparently every person that ends up at this hotel complains about the dichotomy of style and the porter, maybe the hotel should try to do something asap on this front? It is billed as a "boutique" hotel but having come from a fortnight in a true boutique hotel we were very disappointed, fortunately we stayed only one night, wouldn't want to holiday here for 2 weeks not even if it was for free. It has great potential to be charming but is probably mismanaged/put together in a hurry.
Review 18：The Alaia lounge is the nicest part of the hotel. It seems that this hotel suffers of a dichotomy: on one side they have this lovely sea-view lounge that caters to chic 30-something travellers that like a relaxed and stylish Cafe del Mar vibe, on the other hand the rest of the hotel (areas around the pool, that was actually nice but spoiled by the crowd) caters to 60-something "dudes" that drink 20 beers at 4 pm and don't look chic at all. Obviously the world has plenty of people in their 60s that are tres-chic, but they are not to be found in this establishment. The ambiance of an hotel is also made up by the guests, this felt very organised trip rather than boutique, more village than resort. Our room was very nice though, with seaview, some cool designer lamps, etc), but then for example the bathroom decor was subpar compared to the room's styling (a minuscule shower box, ugly tiles, fixed hairdryer) like an hospital bathroom. The impression really is that this hotel was conceived by two different brains. This is the review you get if you bill "boutique" and then you get actual designers staying :)
Review 19：Everything about this place was incredible! The view from our room overlooked the sea and our door opened straight out onto the beautiful garden where we quite often sat having a few drinks and watching the sunset. Staff were lovely and so accommodating, escorted us to our room on check in and gave us a little tour of the property. We're more than happy to give us directions and a map of the island. Rooms were made up everyday with fresh towels provided. Breakfast was included in the price which was already such good value, everything you need for a good breakfast: bacon eggs cereal toast yoghurt fruit! Was a nice quiet location! Only a couple minutes walk to the supermarket, plenty of restaurants & little shops... And most importantly Makris beach! Very busy down at the beach, but still so nice and relaxing. Highly highly recommended! Can't wait to book our next stay!!
Review 20：Boutique is the perfect description for this hotel. Its small enough to care and Angela and her staff are more than happy to ask your opinion and listen. The refurbishments that are being done on a rolling basis are tasteful and add to the serenity of the hotel. Attention to detail is clearly something that is paramount and shows in the new Cocktail bar. I can't leave this review without mentioning "Harry" the delightful front of house who welcomed us, and Catherine and Demetri who are a fab double act behind the bar ;) If you have booked this hotel and read and negative reviews try to remember that if you do have any issues you can be assured that Angela and her staff will do their utmost to make amends if you feel there are any shortfalls.
Review 21：Questionable cleaning service. No room service. To get a snack you have to go all the way across the pool fence to a diffetent hotel to order your food and wait (30' for two plain sandwiches) to get it. Not the service you would expect at €140/night. Wifi signal too weak just above the reception where my room was

Review 25：The hotel was very modern. They had just done a remodel and they had also opened up a bar area with a view of the sea all immaculately furnished and clean and protected from the wind! The people were professional and always well groomed and happy to do special accommodations. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The pool is beautiful too. Be careful going up and down the ramps to the pool area as they are tile and slippery!

Lovely tranquil location, but yet close to local amenities and the capital 'Argostoli' We would definitely be visiting again and recommending to our friends and family!!

Review 34：Lovely resort style accommodation with sea views. Gorgeous sitting / lounge / breakfast area overlooking the water, providing ideal spot to sit and relax whilst checking your emails (or uploading your holiday pics) - note this is also the only area you will have access to wifi. We had room on 3rd floor with sea views - it was a spacious room with a small kitchenette. Very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and staff were willing to accommodate all special requests. Staff very friendly and accommodating - from the moment of your arrival (taking you through island highlights and all available tours, that they were happy to co-ordinate for you, through to time you check out). Accommodation also only a two minute walk to exclusive beach which has small beach bar and beach chairs. This is a place we would highly recommend!
Review 35：We stayed here at the end of a hectic Italy/Greece vacation with our 4 kids (ages 18, 16, 13 and 9). We were all ready for a break from long days of walking and sight seeing which, while wonderful, were somewhat grueling. We got the perfect break at Thalassa. The staff (Angelina and another young lady whose name I can't remember) were incredibly helpful. I messed up on the booking and they graciously found a solution that worked for us even though we did not arrive until 8:30 p.m. or so. We did not rent a car (which I would recommend since the island is rather large) and they tried several times over a couple of days to find us cars, vespas, etc. that would work for us. They called us cabs numerous times and suggested beaches, restaurants and itineraries. They even placed our take out orders when we didn't feel like leaving the beautiful property for meals. Everything was clean and quiet and beautiful. And our kids were probably happier just going to the beach and pool there than they were at any other point on our vacation. We would readily stay there again.
