Review 4:Not a bad experience but needs some updating. No radio in room & t.v. small with limited programmes.
Review 5:Staff and breakfast. Genuinely friendly and very pleasant dining room.
Review 6:No tea and coffee facilities in room. Not a hotel no bar, needs updating old fashioned. Very noisy can hear guess upstairs over bedroom lack of sleep. Little parking.
Review 7:Staff were lovely at breakfast couldn't do enough for you very friendly waitresses
Review 8:No elevator, and our room was next to a main road, so that it was very noisy if windows were open and too hot with them closed. TV was the size of a postage stamp and the remote did not work.
Review 9:The staff were very friendly, and helpful.
Review 10:We arrive on motor cycle and immediately given a secure place to park. Staff were very good at making sure we had plenty of suggestions for where would be good to see and their recommendations were spot on. Not modern rooms but very clean spacious and comfortable. Also recommend Vaughan restaurant 100 meters away.
Review 11:LOTS OF NOISE FROM STREET TRAFFIC. WOOLEN BLANKETS AND PILLOWS COULD DO WITH UPDATING.
Review 12:LOCATION TO ALL AMENITIES WAS EXCELLENT AND ALL STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. HAVING WIFI WAS A PLUS.
Review 13:Not very modern, and no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. 70's style decor all through. Could definitely do with an update.
Review 14:Super friendly welcome on arrival, very helpful with our requests, nice breakfast and friendly service.. would stay again.
Review 15:Needs to be completely done up. Very outdated. Looks like something from the 60s. A little overpriced for what it is.
Review 16:Very close to Lahinch centre. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Review 17:A great location friendly and accomodating staff good food and clean surroundings. It was like a home from home and represented good value for money. I will return in the future.
Review 18:Very comfortable stay. Very helpful & professional staff. Great location short walk from restaurants / bars. This hotel was a breath of fresh air and exemplifies all that is Irish.
Review 19:The property is an older building and facilities are basic.
Review 20:Good old fashioned customer service! The staff were excellent, location is excellent and the place is spotless.
Review 21:Price (for low season)
Review 22:The friendly warm welcome. .. Consideration for my "needs" & attention to detail..remembering on 2nd morning what my breakfast preference was.
Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:Everything. If you want a nice place to stay that is peaceful, close to beach and main street, lovely food and a friendly staff with plenty of knowledge of the local areas then this is the place to go.
Review 25:Staff excellent. Breakfast lovely and premises really clean. Location fantastic. Would recommend a stay here for Lisdoonvara as there is no problem getting taxi over for a reasonable fare.
Review 26:No tea or coffee facilities in our room. Room was pretty cold at night.
Review 27:Staff and location. Nostalgic trip down memory lane :) (Decor brought me right back to my childhood and with it a familiar sense of comfort!)
Review 28:Hard to find anything to grumble about though I can't remember if it has tea/coffee facilities - always a plus point.
Review 29:Very friendly hotel close to the bustling metropolis of Lahinch - 200 yards away. Well run, good facilities and charming staff from the boss down. Close to golf, surfing, and tourist areas this is excellently located and would use this as a base should we return.
Review 30:Not having a lift not good if you have bad knees
Review 31:The friendly staff the hotel was quite and peaceful at night. We liked the fact that breakfast was served fresh from the kitchen. The hotel has an old world charm
Review 32:Dated and it smells like it, this hotel is to be avoided. Extremely uncomfortable bed, paper-thin walls so that the snoring from next door keeps you awake long into the night. But worst of all, at 9am on each morning of our stay we were woken abruptly by a racket in the corridor, as the staff on patrol banged on each door individually shouting "good morning, breakfast call". I've never experienced anything like it, if I saw it on a TV sitcom I'd find it hillarious. But there was nothing funny about it when I was hoping for a lie-in on my holidays. And within minutes they were back at the door wanting to change the bedclothes. We were still in the bed !! Don't stay here if you are planning a weekend of rest - you won't get any.
Review 33:Friendly staff at breakfast
Review 34:Needs a little refurbishing.
Review 35:Hotel in Great Location near town and opposite Golf Course and road to Cliffs of Moher. The hotel staff are friendly and the full Irish breakfast was very good. The hotel has a real country feel and is very traditional.
Review 36:Hotel was very old. Smelled like old people if you know what I mean... Weird smell. Rooms were ok. Bed not comfortable sheets and blankets not great. Breakfast everything was done on a pan and can out with black bits on it... We waited about 20 mins for someone to come back to me to get more toast and then no toast came. Was just very unhappy with the stay would not recccomened it
Review 37:The location was very nice, nice and clean,
Review 38:no wifi, small tv on other side of room.
Review 39:the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. going above and beyond in accommodating our early breakfast needs due to an early flight, for our whole group.
Review 40:No restaurant. Room utterly basic in nowadays standards. No parking (busy weekend). Ridiculously small TV. Very salty breakfast and no buffet. Noisy traffic. Army style blankets in bed!!? NO toiletries NO information book NO tea making facilities in room unacceptable for a room this expensive. All furnishings and decorations (dried/fake flowers, sofa from last century, dusty, outdated - museum feel really). Oh, and paper thin walls aka non existent privacy!! Any B&B in the area will have twice the amenities for half the price. I nearly broke out in tears at the checkout after a very disappointing visit (only for the hotel part). I've always gotten great choices from Booking.com. Must reconsider using this site!
Review 41:There was a lovely paperback novel left in the lounge, written by John Grisham which was very readable. Also, shower was abundant.
Review 42:Tom was a charming host and most helpful and friendly. The staff in the breakfast room were very efficient and pleasant. I stay in Lehinch every year, yet have only just discovered the Sancta Maria Hotel. In future this will be my hotel of choice. Thank you, Tom for a very nice stay.
Review 43:Room was a bit cold, but it was July so central heating was switched off.
Review 44:I was late for breakfast and asked if I could get tea & toast, however full breakfast was offered and in a lovely pleasant manner. This is one of the older type hotel in Ireland, clean and comfy and a willingness to meet their guest's needs, a home from home, I will recommend to friends and hopefully will be back.
Review 45:This is a gem of an hotel situated in an ideal location in Lehinch adjacent to a premier links golf course and close to an amazing sandy beach and promenade. It has good parking facilities and is within 5 minutes walking distance of quaint little shops restaurants and pubs ( full of music and banter). The staff and management were courteous kind and helpful and made my stay a happy and enjoyable experience. The accommodation was pristine clean very homely and comfortable and the food was excellent. This hotel was good value for money and I will return again in the future to sample the hospitality.
Review 46:The first hotel where they had not only glutenfree bread but also cereal available. My husband didn't have to ask for it as the manager told him about all glutenfree options on arrival. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 47:Carpets from the 60s, lino in the bathroom from the 80s. Damp odour in room (so bad i bought a candle!)
