Reviews for Lios na Mara
Review 1:There were 6 of us staying in the house and unfortunately the only shower that could be used was in one of the room's ensuite which was a little bit awkward. The main bathroom shower was not suitable for showering in. We also had trouble with the electricity during the course of our stay and a number of light bulbs blew.
Review 2:The house was very comfortable for 6 people and located only a very short walk to town (maybe 5-6mins)
Review 3:The weather..... ;) but that couldn't be helped ..... And the sea in a storm did look amazing! Should also point out there was no shower in the main bathroom , only in the en suite .... Bit of a pain for a group of friends
Review 4:Great location close to the village. Very spacious , warm on arrival and very clean. Lilly met us with the keys and made us feel very welcome and gave us some local tips.
Review 5:Bathrooms were basic, missing basic fixtures like towel hooks, power showers were tempramental, House Nr 12's (we had 7 & 12) bath/shower leaked into sitting room! House 'estate' was extremely bleak looking
Review 6:Central Location Kitchens were well stocked with cutlery, dishes etc Warm and decent size, bedrooms fine
Review 7:We arrived late in the evening and it was very easy for us to collect the keys. The caretaker was very friendly and relaxed with lots of helpful tips about the area.
Review 8:the location was perfect. the house was spotless. lilly was really nice and helpful. i would recomend this to my friends and would use this property again
Review 9:Over priced for such a shoddy, run down house. The supervisor was nowhere to be seen. In this modern day & age the main bathroom had no shower & lino floor shoddy, no toilet roll holders in either bathrooms. Patio door & kitchen press hanging off the hindges. Beds uncomfortable. Tiny TV in sitting room & the TV wiring looked lethal to children, hanging out of the wall. Never stay here again!!!
Review 10:Clean enough, just about the only positive thing can say.
Review 11:The overall standard of the house and the external setting was very poor. Poor decor and maintenance made the accomodation depressing resulting in little time spent in the house We would not recommend this house and would never return to it. It also was extremely poor value for money.
Review 12:The location was within walking distance of the town We had a wide range of ages in a family group and Lahinch provided a great location for all to enjoy.
Review 13:Obvious things not fixed between guest stays including water heater, nó child friendly locks in bathrooms, light switch over bathroom sink broken, dodgy back door lock and shower in main bathroom not usable apart from hair washing. Sloping drive made parking difficult and sloping back garden not usable for relaxation. Bedroom photos on website did not match house provided. We got two doubles and one twin instead of one double and two twins.
Review 14:Lily the housekeeper, very friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating for dining and relaxing. Spacious living area. Kitchen facilities fine. Extra items needed provided by Lily promptly.
Review 15:No shower in main bathroom. Not ideal for all guests to use ensuite.
Review 16:Convenient location, very well equipped kitchen.
Review 17:needs update ie no wifi, only one shower, new living room furniture.
Review 18:location :walking distance to town
Review 19:Pity that the resort of lahinch Is full of badly maintained housing and shops
Review 20:Beautiful scenery
Review 21:house bit run down outside. and could do with a bit of work inside.
Review 22:close to the down. House clean and comfortable.
Review 23:Toilets didn't flush properly and the shower did not drain properly
Review 24:Shower leaked onto sitting room floor from en suite. This was the only shower. Also when electric shower was turned on the picture on the TV went?? Microwave was very old & smelt very bad. Whole house needed repainting inside & out.
Review 25:Location. Very clean
Review 26:The property supervisor was very nasty on our arrival, complaining shedidn't know if we were coming for certain. We had no towels anddidn\'t know we had to bring them and found no place to purchasethem and she would not assist. One shower didn't work. We were toldto scrub kitchen floor by supervisor and no cleaning products. When wefinally found the terms and conditions it made no mention of scrubbingthe floor. The house was nice but the handling of information at thetime of booking and the "welcome" we received was very poor.
Review 27:Spacious and a central location to places we wanted to visit.
Review 28:Typical holiday home. Paper-thin walls with very basic and tired looking furniture. Place could do with a lick of paint. Utilities in the house leave a lot to be desired. No iron or ironing board etc. There was only one electric shower, which was in an en-suite bathroom. The bath in the main bathroom didn't have a shower, which is a bit odd. Had to use the one in the en-suite!
Review 29:Great location. Only a few minutes walk to the centre of Lahinch. Good place to base yourself for touring the Clare area. The house is basic, but you don't spend that much time in a house when you are on holidays anyway. Bedrooms and bed linen were clean.
Review 30:Everything was fine.
Review 31:The exceptionally friendly & helpful caretaker Lily!
Review 32:house was basic...
Review 33:within walking distance of town & beach.
Review 34:The landlady lily rush, was very friendly and helpfull.
