Breakfast was very good on our first morning but a bit less so on our second. Our host was helpful throughout our stay.

Review 48：Sound proofing very poor. Our room was on the ground floor and heard every movement on the floor above us. Was not impressed with the fact that shampoo etc was only enough for one despite two of us sharing. Also breakfast served between 8.00 and 9.30 sharp. We lingered over breakfast until 10.00 and felt that staff were not impressed. The following evening we were offered a wake up call .... hint get up in time. We got the impression that the guest house was run for the benefit of the staff and not the customers. We saw on the website that there was a hot tub available yet we were not informed of this on our arrival. The information booklet informed us that this was not available after 8 pm. This is ridiculous as most guests do not return to their accommodation until late evening. We stayed for two days and would have loved to use this facility but were too late returning to the guesthouse to do so.

Review 57：The staff were very nice, could not have been more welcoming. The room was spotless and had some lovely furniture. The sheets were softer than any I had stayed in before and the room easily controlled with the aircon to heat and cool it. The lounge area is small and very cosy with a fire on in the evening. The full Irish breakfast was my choice and it was among the best I have had. This is the most comfortable and pleasant stay my girlfriend and I have had anywhere, and we will be back to stay again, we look forward to it!

Review 71：The room was a little small for 3 people. The king size bed and a twin filed up the room. However we weren't in the room except to sleep, so it was okay.

Review 74：Nice greeting. We were shown to our room and was given a nice little tour. We stayed in the Waterville room which was at the end of hall and facing he Bach which made for a quiet room. The bath tub was sparkling clean. This was the first and only place during our holiday that supplied washcloths :-)

Review 89：We were a family group of seven, occupying 4 of the 10 rooms. We found Ashlee Lodge very comfortable and easy-going. We felt able to relax in the lounge bar, drinking and chatting. The rooms were very comfortable and rather spacious. The double beds were actually super king size and very comfortable. Getting to Blarney and Cork city was very easy by bus. In fact my son and I travelled to and from the airport by public transport. The breakfast room was delightfully light and bright and the full Irish is to be recommended. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

I stayed two days and traveledto Cork daily for a conference, which was a bit far, but it was nice tostay a little outside the city, in a quaint town. This location would beperfect for vacationers and families wanting to be near Cork and Blarneybut removed the hustle and bustle of the city center. The prices werebeyond reasonable--an excellent value.
