The family-run Elena Apartments is located right in the centre of Almyrida village of Crete and just opposite from the beach. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers self-catered accommodation with views over the Cretan Sea or the garden. Free WiFi access is provided.
Fitted with orthopedic mattresses and pillows, the air-conditioned studios of Elena are simply decorated with wooden furnishings and they all open up to a private balcony. Featuring a kitchenette with a dining area, each unit comes with a fridge, cooking hobs and an LCD satellite TV. Private bathroom is stocked with a hairdryer and free toiletries.

Review 1：Nikos and Elena (the owners) could not have been more helpful and for the cost of the apartment it has everything we needed and is kept very clean.When we go back to Almyrida we are going to book the Elena again.

Review 3：Location of the apartment is perfect! Close to beach and restaurant. View from balcony is great! Maria and Nikos and Elena are extremely friendly! Maria is making sue you have a clean apartment and on time clean towels.
Review 4：The clean and spacious apartment has al the utensils in the kitchen. But most impressive was the warm welcome the owners had put on the table: a bottle of wine, olive oil, raki, a housemade cake and marmalade, coffee and filters, 3 eggs ... and when I met Nikos and Elena in the evening they gave me honey and 3 varieties of grapes!!!

Review 8：Beautiful clean studio apartment in a great location with a side sea view. The owners Elena and Nickos were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you and gave you gifts of cakes, wine, Raki and fruit. Every day Maria (who cleans the apartments) checked to see everything was alright. We enjoyed our stay so much that we will defiantly be returning next year.

Review 10：Perfect location in a very spacious and well equipped apartment. Clean bedding and towels every two days and cleaned by Maria, a lovely cheerful and conscientious lady. Elena and Nikos the proprietors are very attentive and generous with a well stocked Welcome basket and subsequent deliveries of local produce. Elena's cakes are delicious.My best holiday in Crete. Fantastic value for money.
Review 11：We felt like at home. Both the facilities and the premises (the garden, the parking and the common interior terrace that gives acces to the doors) were great. We had a beautiful view over the beach, and the hotel was very quiet in spite of the many bars in Almyrida. Elena and her husband were very kind to us: they even offered us some welcome presents to eat and drink. We highly recommend it to everyone wanting to spend a comfortable stay by the sea. On the other hand, Almyrida is not far from Réthymno, Chaniá and other interesting places to visit.

Review 16：Our apartment was situated on top of a bar that played loud music through the night on our first night, however this didn't continue throughout the rest of the week and I imagine the noise wouldn't be an issue if you were in a different room.

Elena lefts us little presents,chocolate cake,honey etc. Almyrida is a lovely laid back resort with very good Tavernas..

Review 33：A fantastic welcome from this nice family. Everything was perfect. Elena and his husband are great they pay attention to every single needs we had. The location is perfect for families few steps from the sea and the studios are very very nice and confortable. Hope to see you soon!
Review 34：it is very clean, it is by the sea, it had everything in the room, even a small treatment of wine, oil & tsikoudia (all homemade from the owner), very tidy, excellent wifi, very kind the employee, very well organised & neat. The owner has provided all amenities such as electric iron & ironing board, hair dryer, all necessary dishware & kitchenware etc ...!!

Review 66：Absolutely everything this is our second visit and it just improves onreturn. Elena and Nicos are so welcoming and make every effort to ensuretheir guests are welcome and comfortable. The apartments are still thebest we've stayed in in Greece. There are excellent value for money.Don't bring your travel hairdryer or iron or even your sewing kitthere all provided as are fresh flowers in the room free wine olive oil& raki and Elena even provided us with homemade cakes for breakfaston the morning of departure. We will be returning to the Elena anytimewe're in Crete.

Review 68：The studio we had was lovely, due to a cancellation Elena upgraded us to a sea view, with no extra cost, which was a nice suprise for us. The studio has everything you need including a hair dryer, iron and ironing board which is very rare in Crete. The studio was cleaned immaculate by Maria who was always around to answer any queries...Def stay again...

Review 70：Everything is lovely at Elena Studios/Apartments and right across the road from the beach in the centre of this verry pretty resort. Numerous tavernas line the sea shore and one very good one i would recommend set on the road leaving the village towards Kaylves.
Review 71：At Elena apartment i had a relaxing & lovely time in this hotel. The host Elena and Nikos were amazing, some of the most hospitable people i have come across. They were waiting for me couple hour, (and sorry for that) with patience with their lovely children! I enjoyed their kindness and company! The room is well furnished and very comfortable just one minute from sea. They had a bottle of homemade wine and raki for me that were very tasty.The area of Almyrida is lovely and very quiet, excellent for relaxing holidays and very good point to travel around Apokoronas , Sfakia area and the lovely old town of Chania (just 20min by car). It was great! Thank you Elena and Nikos! I will be back soon!
Review 72：All pics taken outside is not showing the real look of the hotel, as apartment nr. 1 is situated between two building, you have 2 balconies, which you can not use at all. One of them have a view of the firewall(it's only one arm away), the other one is opens for a messy court, and 2 other balconies faced to you from the opposite building, to not to use it either. The bigger promlem that this accomodations is not recommended at all those, who want to sleep at night. There's two noisy bar 80 metres from the apartment, where the party starts at 11pm and ended at 5am, and after 3 hour sleep the nearby car rental agency started to hoover and clean rented cars, giving away a chance to sleep a little. We couldn't bear more than 3 nights, as we can't sleep at all time(also not in the morning or afternoon), we have to find another apartment to make our holiday better. We ask for some compensation about this, because description in the apartment did not mentioned that there's two noisy bar and a car rental agency, and we would like to have a quite and peaceful place to stay(we put it into the 'remark' box), but they didn't wanted to hear about this, they was not so service-centered, just money that counts, not satisfaction of travellers. Apartments 2-4 are in the same building so you have firewalls and messy court around you as we have. Apartmenst nr. 5 and above is above the restaurant, and it's still noisy and smelly from it. If you have one chace not to choose this apartment please do so, otherwise you couldn't sleep during your holiday... I would not reccomend to anyone.

Review 78：The service from Elena and Nikos was excellent from the outset. Our booking was confirmed by them via email with precise details regarding our route to them from the airport, this was confirmed by them contacting us via mobile once we had landed and collected our car. Their hospitality was fantastic once we arrived and met them and their lovely children. Elena greeted us with traditional homemade cake and the studio had complimentary gifts including their own wine, raki, olive oil and flowers. The studio was equipped with everything we needed and was kept immaculate by Maria who changed the towels and washed the floor every other day, changing the linen every 3rd day. She even emptied our bins and made our beds, it was better service than some 5 star hotels offer. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to this region, it was perfect in every way and we cant thank Elana and Nikos enough for making our stay in Almyrida a great holiday experience.
Review 79：It is pretty close to the beach and the coastside, as well as some of the apartments have great view to the sea. The rooms are very well equipped, especially for someone who want to cook, wash some clothes or to iron (appropriate for families). It was very kind of the owners that offered us a basket of goodies! Great value for money!
