Reviews for Shamrock Inn Hotel
Review 1:Room was located over front door facing street. Room was freezing and staff had to provide a space heater. Bathroom was cramped and unheated. We did not sleep well due to noise from the street and people pounding on the door late at night due no signage to ring the bell.
Review 2:Next to Atlantic Hotel which had good food. Downtown location and near to Ennistymon.
Review 3:If your looking for something very fancy or luxurious this wouldn't be for you.
Review 4:Brilliant location for touring. Staff were so so helpful. Lovely seaside town. Lovely new bathroom in our room. Was perfect for the price and for what we wanted
Review 5:Everything an absolute nightmare it rained and we had a leaking gutter or something above our room a constant drip all night long so no sleep for either of us
Review 6:Nothing
Review 7:The decor was dated, the room layout was strange and the beds were reminiscent of a child's room in Holland.
Review 8:The location was nice, just a stones throw from the beach.
Review 9:Our room had a sky light window so at 6am the room was light up and was unable to sleep from then on.. Should put black out blind on this window
Review 10:The staff and food excellent
Review 11:The bed was hard as rock, typical of Irish beds we found. There was no hot water in either room and no hair dryer in our daughters room.
Review 12:Dinner and breakfast were both really good. The breakfast room was cramped and dark and the staff seemed busy but the food was good.
Review 13:Our room was awful. The carpet had stains all over it. The smell was disgusting, smelt like smelly socks in the bedroom and sewage in the bathroom. The toilet made the most horrendous noise when flushed. We were at the end of the corridor and could hear the fan from the kitchen below until service ended. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that's happening next door. Also lastly, there was one spare socket in the room to charge things. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it.
Review 14:Leaving the hotel
Review 15:The rooms and particularly the bathrooms are cramped. This hotel utilizes the breakfast room of the hotel next door which is of the same owner. The hotel is very tired and the menu is limited, especially for vegetarians.
Review 16:The bar food was reasonable and the staff were helpful when we wanted to move away from the kitchen exhausts.
Review 17:Staff were flawless in there everyday tasks. One of the most friendliest hotels that I have been too from the front desk staff to waiters and all who we met along the way. An amazing credit to the hotel
Review 18:Very Friendly staff, comfortable clean bedroom, everything in working order, .tv, tea-making facilities, shower, toilet all clean and working perfectly. Excellent breakfast. would definitely stay again if in the area.
Review 19:The bar music (as good as it was) could be heard very clearly in the rooms.
Review 20:Excellent location in Lahinch and a very warm and friendly welcome from all the staff
Review 21:parking could be an issue. weekend we were there young people took over the hotel bar.
Review 22:Hotel very central. Breakfast good which is a good start to any day.Room was very spacious and cimfortable
Review 23:The rooms really need updating and we were freezing cold. The radiator was luke warm and the sole source of heat. The bathroom was freezing cold. I couldn't wait to get home so I could get warm. Sharing guests got one room key between them and we were woken out of our sleep with neighbouring guests knocking loudly to wake up their room mate. I'd recommend only going in Summer and not with kids.
Review 24:The staff were friendly and the food was good.
Review 25:Only room for 5 cars parking. There was a 21st on below our bedroom so it was so loud from 10pm-around 2.30am. And the smoking area was out our window so that was even louder. I'm sure other rooms are much quieter in other parts of the hotel
Review 26:Hotel was central, food was nice there, rooms were spotless, they had a heater on in the room to keep it warm before we arrived, staff were lovely. Bedroom was massive
Review 27:Our mattress was old and needed replacing. I couldn't sleep well on it. We could hear the springs when we got up out of it and I felt one while I tried to sleep. It had indents from so much use that you slid into when you laid down.
Review 28:The food in the restaurant was excellent, along with the bartender and staff.
Review 29:No lift.
Review 30:Staff so friendly, everything within walking distance, hotel and town so clean. Food perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not usually a good sleeper away from home not this time, slept like a log. Relaxed from minute I arrived. Loved it.
Review 31:Inside room so looked directly into another room have to keep blinds pulled down. Room very dated. Shower plug a bit blocked and cobwebs on ceiling light.
Review 32:Location very good
Review 33:Not really a dislike...but the was alot if noise from outside..being so close to the main street.. But it is above a pub to be fair...so you are going to get some noise.... But come 1am.... Nothing but silence...
Review 34:Great place... Excellent staff... And great value for money... Can't wait to return.
Review 35:There was nowhere to park in the hotel out the back has room for 3cars! We had to park in a hotel across the road and pay €3 a day!! The reception area in the shamrock lodge was tiny u cudnt hardly move in it... U had to go next door to eat ur breakfast to another hotel they were linked too u also had to go there to checkout.. The keys were old style on a massive keyring so we had to remove that... The bed creaked so bad and loudly.... It was very warm in the rooms no aircon... The receptionist didnt tell us a whole pile of info just gave us a key and told us a room number!!! Milk was sour at breakfast the next morning we asked for ketchup it was never brought to us! Ther were just a few tings that stood out that could be a but better but as for location its a great spot.. I wud prob knock it all into on big hotel instead of two as it makes more sense and it need renovations and some new beds purchased....
Review 36:The location cos its very central...
Review 37:The fights outside the hotel at night keeping people awake. Should be more control of drunks. This went on till 3 am both in the car park at the back and on the street.
Review 38:Food was good. Perhaps helpings too large but some would find that a good thing.

Review 81:It was nice and clean, very friendly staff. Room basic but well looked after.
Review 82:The welcome at the Shamrock couldn't have been more friendly. The Hotel just had a lovely feel to it.
Review 83:There was a good bit of noise at one time during the night (I am a light sleeper) but kids slept through anyway.
Review 84:Loved our family room: bright and spacious. Hotel right on main street which is great. Breakfast also was very good! We would definetely stay here again.
Review 85:Nothing I didn't like, but being a woman noticed little things like dust on the radiator, lovely seating area and table on the landing you could write in the dust. Only a minor thing. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 86:Every one of the staff were fantastic, the Hotel location was perfect. The room we had was bright, spacious, and beds comfortable. We were at the front and even though there were a hen and stag party in town heard no noise. My last visit to this Hotel was 4yrs ago. Since then the rooms have been updated and have improved greatly. A friendly atmosphere which made us feel very welcome.
Review 87:A little bit pricey for the time of the year. No Broadband in the room in the hotel.

Review 95:Lovely comfortable homely hotel we stay in alantic hotel which is part of da shamrock hotel staff were very nice and excellent service food is fab very clean diffently stay again very near to da beach and shops and resturants
Review 96:There were a lot of stairs to climb in order to get to your room. Ok except when we had heavy bags or forgot something in the car!
Review 97:Location was great and the room was spacious and clean.
Review 98:Rooms could be updated, breakfast was bland and very greasy, more simple options should be added. Back entrance unsightly and door being left open meant the greasy smell from the extractor fan came into the room
Review 99:Well located, good value for money, bathrooms nice
Review 100:Very little to say here except no lift but someone was asked to carry our bags to our room when we arrived!!
Review 101:We got a lovely big family room, very clean, tea/coffee making facilities, decent sized bathroom with powerful shower. Generous breakfast with as much or as little food as you want. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend this hotel to experience a genuine Irish hotel.
Review 102:we had a room out the front and could not open the windows as it was a usunday night and it was so so busy never realised it was so central we nearly died of heat
Review 103:the staff and food was fantastic
Review 104:Two hotels in one, had some of the characteristics of fawtly Towers inthe nicest possible way. The staff were really excellent and yet verycomfortably laid back. Going from one hotel to the other to check in, tostay in the other hotel to having breakfast in the other hotel and thereis this young guy who is the spit of basil. Food delicious and a lot ofit......Thank you all and well done.
Review 105:The only complaint was the following. We stayed in room 34, a beautifultriple room, beds were really comfortable and the room was ncie andwarm. We left a coat on top of the wardrobe and when we took it down itwas full of Dust, als the shower in that room had a mind of it'sown, the pressure was all wrong, to hot, then to cold then to hot, I wasa real issue.
Review 106:I loved the fact that all the staff were very friendly and accommodatingand no matter what request we asked they did it with a smile. I alsoliked the bar / lounge, very typical and friendly.
