Reviews for The Machan

Review 1:The Sunset Machan, where we stayed at, was just amazing - great view, open on three sides (glass with curtains) overlooking the hills and a great sunset view, all wood interiors with a loft that had a king size bed and a full sized bathroom.

Review 2:The staff tell my husband that if we have booked a jungle Meacham and v staying in a jungle please expect there will be snakes coming from nowhere in the room...I mean seriously that was the reply the staff gave

Review 3:There was a snake I in my room...and when I called the reception no one came for help till 45mins...it was Soo scary n when my husband wanted to talk to the manager he did not respond...ridiculous staff and no empathy towards their guests..shame on them..my leisure trip turned into a nightmare

Review 4:WIFI Zone should have been there if not in the rooms atleast in a designated area so important mails could be checked and for connection incase of emergency with family members , as your aware there is no network apart from vodafone

Review 5:Loved the concept and the food was value for money

Review 6:Cost !!! Cost is extremely high. . .only good for very special moments. . cost is not worth for casual outing. .

Review 7:Excellent builtup. . .unique experience. . .equiped with all modern amenties without loosing element of nature. . .

Review 8:Room service was slow and after 2 hours we decided it was easier to go the restaurant to get what we had ordered.

Review 9:Having a great view of the forest. Walks on the property

Review 10:Machhans are basically tree houses. I could not have imagined such a luxury in tree house. The Machan team has done amazing job in designing their Machans and even better job at maintaining the entire property. 5 Stars for the entire experience and really appreciate the hospitality extended by the staff.

Review 11:The wooden floors above our room made lots of noice and the peoples voices can be heard in ur room. Rest all is ok.

Review 12:The nature, the quiet, the rains, the trees, the wonderful machan, the polite staff, the bonfire, no tv, no mobile network, the company of my wife.

Review 13:Room full of insects. Wet, drenched and dirty carpets. Leaking rooftops. Messy, unironed, stinking, stained and literally unwashed/used bed sheets/bed covers. Not for travellers particular about cleanliness and hygiene.

Review 14:Beautiful property, lovely location, away from the crazy lonavala crowd. Really green, loved the way machaans are made. Very thoughtful.

Review 15:After requesting our room not to clean they still came in and did some cleaning. They were working and grinding through the weekend. Limited choices on food. Takes them an hour to bring drinks, or sometimes you won`t even get it

Review 16:Cabin was beautiful. Resort was in beautiful area Cabin was very clean Spa people were very friendly and good

Review 17:we had a few unwanted visitors !! Huge lizards and a mouse... And the food was mediocre. Not worth what they charge .

Review 18:We stayed in Machan, Heritage... It had the most awesome view .

Review 19:Communication! None, unless you have Vodafone! Let ME decide how incommunicado I want to be. Although they did warn us prior to booking! So there.

Review 20:Privacy, unobtrusive service, beautiful rooms, super interiors. Enjoyed the walk through the grounds....Definitely going back again.

Review 21:Perfect weekend getaway for people who love nature. Want to take a break from busy schedules, idiot box and all the city buzz. There is no network so your boss won't be able to bother you and no TV so you actually spend time exploring the property or just chilling at your verandah. Each room is unique and different and cleanliness is international standards. Food is expensive but quite tasty. Staff is very cordial and we'll informed about flora and fauna. All in all, if you are looking for international standards rooms, and want to get away from city chaos, this is the place for you. Pets are not allowed and there are not much activities for kids.there are books and nature trails for all age groups to enjoy. So take the road less travelled and spend time at machan. It's worth it.

Review 22:WE stayed in a jungle machan. THe whole experience is fantastic. Canopy and forest machans are a bit isolated to the far end of the resort but all canopies pprovide good privacy and peace

Review 23:The food was very average. Also they need to have some facilities for kids to enjoy like a garden, play area, cycling track. The house keeping service was very ordinary; if you call someone it would take him ages to come

Review 24:We liked the location a lot. It is very serene and in monsoon it is like heaven on earth.

Review 25:Need to pay a bit more attention on cleanliness of tea/coffee pots.

Review 26:Location is amazing. The concept is fantastic and they have kept it exclusive. Nothing is too much for the staff. Stayed at the Heritage Machan which we found the best for our needs.

Review 57:The Machan concept is amazing

Review 58:Awesome setting and very nice facility

Review 59:The atmosphere and the natural habitat was excellent. A very good place for a change in holiday experience.

Review 60:They need to have showercaps :)

Review 61:Excellent property, location, food, hospitality and facilities!

Review 62:Reception staff is quite rude and service at restaurant is horrible with only 9 rooms occupied. Very less variety for dinner and breaffast and staff is try to save money even to serve juice after paying more than Rs 15000 per day. No official receipts provided for dinner and other charges, could be tax saving techniques.

Review 63:The menu of the breakfast is very poor in comparison to the charges of the accommodation. The charges for dinner/lunch is also very high in comparison to the items served. It is worst than a dhaba. How can you ask for the deposit when a client pays full amount in advance. The concept is not clear. Moreover, the credit card facilities shall be available. I will not recommend this hotel..

Review 64:Mr. Kiran was very helpful as my door of the bathroom was not working. He helped us a lot.

Review 65:May be they can add a SPA facility in the Machan
