Reviews for Riverside Cottage
Review 1:NOTHING!
Review 2:This was a five star B and B. Perfect location, lovely views over river and sea. Tasty breakfast, clean and comfortable with a very friendly atmosphere..
Review 3:I loved the room with a balcony overlooking the water. The landlady was very attentive and cheery and the whole place was clean and comfortable. Great to come back to at the end of the day and sit on the balcony and watch the sun going down .
Review 4:We were warmly welcomed on arrival. The room and en suite were neat, tidy and immaculately clean. We travelled with our dog and the warm welcome was very much extended to him too! We will definitely be returning.
Review 5:The room was basic and bathroom very small.
Review 6:Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially around our choice of breakfast. Due to us not eating a full breakfast we were allowed to take some toast and also were not charged for a cheese and onion roll. I would return due to this attention and additional services provided.
Review 7:Parking was a bit of a performance ,trying to find a space, then having to use the car park the next day.Room could have been cleaner, i put my little suitcase on top of the wardrobe and a cloud of dust appeared.
Review 8:The location was great ,all we needed to hand.
Review 9:Not much, shower a bit tight but that's more our fault than the shower.
Review 10:Just superb location, bed, breakfast, balcony, view and very dog friendly, will certainly come back. Stayed in room 5
Review 11:Balcony of room i felt could have been cleaner a lot of cob webs.
Review 12:Staff very welcoming and friendly and willing to help. Room very comfortable and clean, breakfast excellent and a good selection to choose from.
Review 13:We stayed for two nights in July 15 and were charged rates of a four star B&B for a three star B&B. I suppose the price hike had to do with the sea view which was much better after I cleaned the window in our room. The breakfast buffet was rather average, served in a canteen- like environment (chairs were piled high next to the food, music blaring out of speakers above our heads). Staff were rushed off their feet and had barely time to converse - so we never found out their names. Also be aware there is no parking facility provided which in Lynmouth is rather tricky.
Review 14:On the plus side the beds were very comfortable.
Review 15:Perfect getaway to a lovely remote seaside village full of dog lovers and happy faces. Odd shops and good ol pubs and friendly locals...all 57 of them!
Review 16:Leaving !!
Review 17:Great place , stunning views from the balcony room you just cannot go wrong here .. Great people and great location and one hell of s breakfast Will come back for sure
Review 18:Bedroom and bathroom were a bit grubby and could do with a thorough deep clean.
Review 19:Great location and balcony overlooking the water. Good breakfast, however the buffet was very basic.
Review 20:The room was much smaller than expected and too small for two people and a dog.
Review 21:They allow dogs to stay which was great, the location was perfect and their cooked breakfast was delicious!
Review 22:Didn't like the idea of dog friendly. Not because of the dogs, but because of their best friends - hint: Gendry from Game of Thrones .
Review 23:Great location, good conditions, great breakfast
Review 24:The location is excellent and the staff very accommodating. Room wasclean and comfortable with balcony; and the comforting murmur of the LynRiver put me to sleep.
Review 25:On street parking, with two hour limit
Review 26:Very friendly welcome, and information Great location with view over river and sea Comfortable beds Delicious breakfast
Review 27:There was nothing to dislike from the friendly welcome overall cleanliness and willingness to please ,good choices of breakfast (veggies Inc) ideal place to rest your head after a day out
Review 28:Right on the main seafront road. Easy access for old or infirm folks to the main parking road in an otherwise very steep hilly location. Built in café for your breakfast.
Review 29:Not much for price
Review 30:In a very convenient location overlooking the river. Good size comfortable room balcony to front and large en-suite, ample breakfast.
Review 31:The lady owner Debbie was a little bit abrupt when I asked for some ICE for the room. We don't do Ice was the reply !! Strange as they offer alcohol with lunches during the day. Otherwise a nice 2 night stay here

Review 96:The location of the Riverside is a big plus with your balcony overlooking the river. The hostess was really cheerful and very friendly. The breakfast was all you needed for a good start to the day. Good value and I really enjoyed my stay.
Review 97:price compared to nearby hotel size of room smoke from smokers on balcony next door came in through our windows and made the room smell. Breakfast dining room too small
Review 98:location comfortable bed well heated
Review 99:wonderful relaxing stay, owner could not be more helpful , superb view from room, breakfast was brilliant ,had a lovely break would certainly stay again
Review 100:I like a bath sheet, so the bath towels were a bit small. Breakfast was mostly fine - but please, a nice pork sausage rather than a dry bread one (a common English habit I find odd - why spoil the ship for a haporth of tar?)
Review 101:Location is fabulous - we had a lovely sea view, and at this time of year parking was easy. Lovely river walks from the property, and a couple of good places to eat. Powerful hot shower for easing post-exercise aches. Landlady was very welcoming and cheerful.
Review 102:Liked everything
Review 103:Debbie was lovely we had a lovely breakfast the room was lovely with the balcony had a great stay there hope to go back in the future x
Review 104:Just to say something, the beds were narrow and not so comfortable, but it was certainly not an issue.
Review 105:We liked the friendly staff and her good tips on where to eat. The view from the balcony was great and the temperature was very comfortable. Lynmouth is also a place to recommend for at least two nights.
Review 106:Leaving, after only two nights.
Review 107:The welcome as you arrived was great,, as was the information about the local area. The room was a twin as asked for, small, but very clean and comfy. The balcony was great, even though it was a winter break. The views are wonderful from your balcony, overlooks the river and has sea views. Breakfast was served at the rear of b&b, in there own cafe, before opening to the public, and was excellent. The cliff railway was shut for maintain acne work, shame looks spectacular. Will stay here again in the summer, the views and location are 100%. Can't wait to stay again. Thanks for a great stay.
Review 108:Bed rather too small and springy for two people in urgent need of some sleep!
Review 109:Warm welcome and excellent breakfast. Fine views from the bedroom balcony.
Review 110:Fabulous small hotel in a wonderful location. Rooms at the front have balconies with superb river/harbou views. Our room, a large double (9), was spacious & very comfortable. Great breakfast.
Review 111:Mumbling owner, seemed reluctant to converse. Very uncomfortable bed. Unable to sleep because of street lights and curtains not blocking the light. Music at breakfast was like a disco.
Review 112:No particular thing
