Review 1：The friendly staff especially the owners they couldn't do enough for you. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. The hotel was situated close to the main area of Agia Pelegia, close to all the resturants which are on the beach and a variety to choose from. Personally I enjoyed the authentic greek cuisine avaliable in most resturants. The Filoxenia Apartments are the ideal place to stay in Kythira.

Review 8：We chose the Superior Studio with Sea View and had a beautiful, large room with a truly vast patio, right at the top of the building. Views of the Aegean and mountains from the patio were gorgeous. The owner was very friendly and accommodated any requests we had without a problem. The breakfasts were really good, with individual rolled omelettes, good bacon and great fried eggs, amongst all the other usual fare. The highlight though was the swimming pool, which was the perfect temperature and crystal clear with very mild water (no chlorine sting at all and not salty either). It has to be the best hotel pool I've ever experienced. I still miss it! Great location too, about 50 metres back from the main seafront strip in Agia Pelagia, so nice and quiet but still easy to reach the great local restaurants and bars. Perfect. Despite the current economic situation, now is the perfect time to visit Greece. This hotel was not seething with tourists and neither is the whole island. Food is really cheap and there is an awful lot to see and do. Such a wonderful experience, we highly recommend this for a peaceful, quiet and entertaining holiday and venue.
Review 9：Fantastische gastvrijheid. De eigenaar Vasilis spreekt goed Engels. Hij en zijn personeel geven je het echte vakantiegevoel. Service is van hoog niveau! Het is in een rustige locatie en er is geen uitgaansleven, maar dat werkte perfect voor mij! Gemakkelijke toegang naar het strand met diverse leuke restaurantjes en een aantal winkeltjes. Een echte aanrader voor mensen die even weg willen uit het dagelijkse jachtige leven en rust zoeken.

Review 14：The rooms are big enough for a family of four, really enjoyable for a couple, nicelly decorated and in tune with the surrounding environment. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The common areas are tastefull and relaxing if a bit small.

Review 17：The bathroom was moldy and there was a rather unpleasant odour. It was too expensive compared to the quality of the room and the services provided. There was no elevator and the rooms were on the 2nd floor. There was protection for the mosquitos fitted in the windows but it was too difficult to be operated. The breakfast was descent but not what expected for 170€ per night. They did not change the towels daily. The WiFi signal was poor and the range was short.

Review 19：We had a small baby with us, and they placed us in a room on a higher level which was quite tiring as the hotel had no elevator. The breakfast was very basic, seeing that this is a 'boutique' hotel, we would have expected more special tastes and local ingredients (i.e. cheeses, pies, breads, cakes).
Review 20：The hotel is close to the beach which is great, but we would not choose to live in Agia Pelagia again as it's very touristic, quite far away from other attractions, and the beach is dirty with trash from visitors. As the island is worth travelling around, we would stay more central or in the Chora. The staff is nice. Very comfortable bed.

Review 22：Everything met or exceeded our expectations and the owners (George & Vassili) and staff were excellent, in particular Eleni was exceptional. We looked forward to returning to the complex at the end of each day where we would enjoy a G&T by the pool while the kids swam and we chatted with Eleni. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with the local yoghurt and honey to die for. Filoxenia is the perfect location to base yourself on Kythera to explore that magnificent island and experience genuine Greek hospitality.

Review 24：staying at Filoxenia felt like we were staying with family but not obtrusive. It was very comfortable and our teen-age daughters were sad to leave. It's close to the beach and an assortment of restaurants.
