Reviews for Rooms Zagreb
Review 1:Our host did not speak much English (not did we speak much Croatian!) but she was very friendly and courteous. Easy enough to find your way around Zagreb by yourself!
Review 2:Location just out of the downtown "tourist" area, so nice and quiet and safe. A short walk to the excellent tram system. Rooms were very clean. 20 min walk to a good supermarket and cafés nearby. Shared refrigerator.
Review 3:A squeaky bed indeed, but comfortable. Also, thin doors so you alwayshave to be careful no to be too loud, inside or outside your room. Maybea few euros too much for what you get in one night, but it is what isexpected for a one night stay in any hostel. And a bit far from center, but streetcars are frequent and not far from the hostel.
Review 4:A fair room, washed bed sheets, tv, air-conditioning, a window lookingover a big shared backyard... All in all, everything that is expected(or more) of a hostel room.
Review 5:Bed is not very comfortable
Review 6:not far away from tram station Sveti Duh nice garden view host woman do not know English, but helpful and easy to agree at basics
Review 7:- the shower was awful, either freezing cold or boiling hot..there was no inbetween - the room as all you need but there is hardly any space to move in
Review 8:- great location (10 min to city) -lovely/friendly host that went out of her way to fix the broken tv - very clean - great bed - free parking in front
Review 9:Quite far from the city centre. Reception lady spoke only Croatian so the check-in was a little bit difficult. No table or own fridge in the room. The bed sheets were old and the bed was simply terrible with all the squeaking noises keeping us awake. If you're only looking for a place to sleep, don't choose this hostel.
Review 10:The bathroom was clean and spacious. The hostel is located near to the tram lines and food stores. There's a nice and cheap bistro A1 near to the tram station where you can have a good breakfast. The wi-fi worked really well.
Review 11:The room was nice and clean with an excellent bathroom. A 10 minute tram ride or 25 min walk from the main square. Good value for the money. I advised them of my arrival time and the caretaker was there on time to let me in and set me up. I would stay here again
Review 12:Not real close to the center but I'm sure that is why it is such a good price. Floor creaked terribly. Frig was not real cool- there is a community one outside the room.
Review 13:Price Free parking Not too difficult to find Not real far from metro line Even though on a main road, not too loud at night. Air conditioning
Review 14:There is no elevator. We had to take our bags up to the second floor.
Review 15:the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It was a little far away from the center of the town, but it was easy to find.
Review 16:Dark and dreary, the smell of stale cigarette smoke was overwhelming, worst experience I've had.
Review 17:Location a little far without a car.
Review 18:For a single person the room is OK, The bed was good, the furniture is ok and WC is fine. The staff is very nice.
Review 19:friendly and helpfull lady, room was clean. price / value is good
Review 20:very poor accomodation facilities not appropriate price
Review 21:Noone there when I arrived, sign on door asking people to go to an apartment and knock on door, After awhile, the owner appeared and checked me in, then I found bed had no sheets, just a dirty stained mattress, went back to the apartment and a lady appeared with a sheet. Can't recommend as Zagreb rooms are in a block of flats, and it is difficult for assistance if you have problems There is a mobile number, but not always someone to answer it.
Review 22:Close to public transport, bus at end of street to take you to city centre.
Review 23:good location for Zagreb city and also for beautiful Samobor. Just 30 minutes from the beautiful little town of Samobor.Bus stops just 3 minutes walk and also tram.
Review 24:Location was very grungy, creepy to walk through at night, walls were VERY THIN.... we heard everyones grunts, groans, coughs and conversations.
Review 25:Very clean, big room, private bath, and the wifi was very fast !
Review 26:The bed - it was terribly creaky and crunchy. If you turn to the other side during the night - you'll wake up for sure. That means also not a comfortable thing for a couple. But there's a nice bathroom :)
Review 27:Everything was perfect except the door - it was very thin and you could hear what was happening in the hall. But it's a very still place, so it's not a big problem.
Review 28:Contacted staff re: later check-in and told it was no problem as someone would wait for me. Train 20" late, but no one there. Followed directions to go around corner and ring certain bell, but no answer there either. Stood in dark until couple came along who made call for me. Person who was to wait for me was at a concert, but would send someone. A woman arrived 10 mins. later to check me in, orient me, and collect payment. I speak no Croatian; she spoke no English, but we managed. She was there when I checked out 2 days later. I never saw anyone else.
Review 29:Room was comfortable and quiet. Bathroom was quite new. Designated space in little refrigerator and an electric kettle in common area helpful. Trams accessible, although a 5-7 minute walk.
Review 30:premises too far from center for city visitors. timber floor structure in common with other rooms too noisy when walked over by different .rooms guests.
Review 31:premises surrounding. free parking space.
Review 32:The hostess don't speak english at all, even so she was very very kind and helpful, and finally we understood each other with little dufficulties. Bed a little short, and narrow spaces in the room.
Review 33:Kind staff, city map and brochure of the city was available. Frigo, kettle in common area. Free parking just in front of the accomodation. The tram station is within 5 min. on foot, and there are two lines (no. 6 and no. 11) that you can use if you want to go to the city center. (Turn right at the corner into Ilica ulica) The trams go frequently. The ticket is a little expensive (12 kn for a single ticket) so I think it worth to use the car and pay for parking in the center (we made a weekend trip to Zagreb and the parking in the center is free saturday in the afternoon, and sunday whole day) Knife, glasses were in the room. Cleanliness. I dare recommend this accomodation for a city trip in Zagreb, and I recommend the city too. Charming city center, good athmosphere, good bakeries :)
Review 34:A bit far from city center - about 30min walk, but there's the tram facility...so no problem.
Review 35:The facilities like fridge, boiler, plenty of touristic brochures and cleanness.
Review 36:Can think of nothing.
Review 37:The staff worked hard and were most friendly. The room was small, but comfortable -- and the price was right. Good bathroom. We were able to park right below our window, and then walk to several grocery stores and cafes. We found a good restaurant ("Pivovara") about a 10-minute walk away, east toward the city center.
Review 38:We enjoyed the fact it was close to the center of Zagreb. The host wasn't speaking English but she was very nice and waited for us when we arrived. There were plenty of parking spaces.
Review 39:The bed was a little uncomfortable, would recommend replacing the mattress as the springs could be felt.
Review 40:Proximity to tram line, only ten minute ride or 30 easy walking into centre of town. Very clean, in a good safe area and overall good value for money.
Review 41:Not so close to the city center, but near a tramline, so it isn't problem. Nice host and comfortable room.
Review 42:Small room in the first floor, but has everything you need, good position, a lot parking place, good value
Review 43:- Cracking floor and bed - Cleaning every 3 days
Review 44:- Nearby busstation Crnomerec - Fridge available (shared with other guests) - Budget friendly
Review 45:Far from center , beds are not noisy
Review 46:clean bathroom , close to tram and easy to find . Good value for the price if compare others .
Review 47:Rooms are good 4 one day trip.Nothing special but ok if u want to just take a shower and have a bed to sleep.
Review 48:A bit far from the city center to go walking, although well communicated by bus.
Review 49:Good price, clean room. Is OK to spend one night or two.
Review 50:It is not a place to stay for more than two or three days.
Review 51:The host was responsive and really cared about the service she delivered.
Review 52:Location and price
